The hotel’s exterior and communal areas are lovely, the same can’t be said about our room which is a shame. Style over substance. The room was a good size however it is the hardest mattress I have ever slept on! There was not a lot of light in the room either and the bathroom was very haphazard in construction.

Rooms were a little hot at night as the weather in Calafate was much warmer than usual, no a/c but rooms were clean and comfortable. A little noisy at times with people walking past the balconies. Great location with the Main Street a few minutes walk away and a nice park across the road. Augustin on the front desk was fantastic and helped us book a couple of excursions, get some laundry done and gave us some good recommendations for places to eat and for drinks. Great guy!

Friendly hotel in central El Calafate

Nice clean room, no issues. Good breakfast - continental style, scrabbled eggs, toast, pancakes. Friendly staff - they run their own local tour agency, which we used for our three trips, all picking up from the hotel. Hotel well situated for centre of town, a few 100m away.

The hotel is centrally located, close to downtown and the front desk staff are outgoing and helpful. There is a shortcut to the bus station which works well if you just have a backpack. For larger luggage, you will need a taxi. There are lots of dining options in the downtown area, and the street is lined with many shops, which was surprising for this small town. The breakfast is adequate and they will serve you a portion of scrambled eggs on request. The rooms are a bit tight, and not sound proof, and the shower setup wasn’t in the best shape. If you have a room on the first floor and have a lot of luggage, you’ll have to haul it up the stairs. Given the location, convenience, and included breakfast, this is an ok place for a couple of nights.

I liked the room however the walls need to be cleaned. Watch out for the kitchen lady. She will not allow you to pack your own breakfast to go. Everything must be eaten in front of her in the dining room. Many tours start early so it would be nice of them to allow breakfast to go. Other places will pack it for you.

Hotel was constructed as cheaply as possible. Rooms and showers were odd, plugs were in terrible places, heat didnt work, walls were paper thin, no smoke alarm or windows that let air in.
