We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was really comfy. The staff were really friendly and extremely efficient. The breakfast was amazing. We also used the Jacuzzi. This was lovely as you get one private session per day. It is really relaxing and surrounded by candles. It's in a good location too, just one block from the main tourist street. It's more expensive than many hotels in El Calafate, but is very good value.

We have stayed 3 nights with my wife and my little son (2 years and a half). Service was excellent and rooms were very nice, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was good also. I highly recommend it for lonely travelers or families as well.

We stayed there for only one night. It is a quaint hotel and we love it. The facilities were good and staffs were lovely. They gave us a map and suggested us ways around town and restaurants. The breakfast was homey and delicious. There were many selections of food. The hotel provides a parking space.

Nice and cozy hotel in Calafate, well located near to the main road and shopping area. It is a 4 stars hotel with Spa and gym area and all amenities, but it also offers the quite ambience of a familiar place. Nice to sit in the living room at the fireplace, or taste the genuine cuisine of the chef in the restaurant. At morning breakfast is very good in quality and quantity. The kitchen prepares also box lunch or request. Rooms are wide and comfortable. Do not forget to book the whirlpool and sauna to warm up ofter being at the glacier!!!

Our room was on the same side as the kitchen. The back door of the kitchen couldn't be closed properly and was swinging back and forth all night letting off the most horrible high pitches noise and banging noise as the door moved in the wind. Called the reception many times and they couldn't find a way to close the door properly. A shame really, otherwise the hotel is good.

My wife and I, best friend and his wife, stayed here for 2 nights before making our way north to El Chalten. First let me start with the highlights- the room was adequate with good temperature regulation. Also the breakfast here is fabulous. They have plenty of fruit, eggs, bacon, cookies, as well as yogurt and fluids. Plus, the front desk is very accommodating and friendly. Now the points that can use some improvement. We went for their special dinner, massage, and hot tub combo. Our dinner reservation was at 7:00pm and figured that was enough time for a first massage at 8:30pm. After a long day at the glacier and driving, we were at the dinner area at 7PM only to be told by the waitress that dinner is not served till 7:30PM. I walked 30ft over to the front desk and mentioned that our dinner was scheduled at 7PM and we were just told that dinner is not served till 730pm. Our only concern was that this may crowd the massage time starting at 830pm. To make a long story short the chef arrives somewhere between 7-7:30, although the front desk is accommodating, they do not communicate well with the restaurant or the massage/cleaning crew. I also mentioned to our waitress that our concern was making it in time for the massage and she confidently assured us that our hour for dinner would be more than fine to make the massage at 830PM. Well... at 9PM I finally headed up to the massage area after a rushed dinner. Read ahead for the massage experience. The cleaning lady, who starts wrapping up hot tub area at 930PM tried kicking us out of the hot tub are but we stood our ground and stated that we had been delayed and she should talk to the front desk. after some bickering on the phone between the front desk and she, we were given firm exit times from the hot tub at the end of the delayed massages. I think this could of all been avoided by the front desk communicating the delay of events to all parties involved including the massage and cleaning crew. Also, Laura the masseuse gives the most light of massages. I did ask her at the beginning of my 30min massage if she would mind applying firm to hard pressure and she replied ' NO!, the spine is very delicate and we should not take a chance for injury. I cannot do that kind of massage.' What!?!?! Look Laura, I have had plenty of massages and know what I can tolerate. If you do not know how or are unable to perform deep tissue massage then please let someone that does perform the massage. We are not performing spinal surgery here, it is called a deep tissue massage. Laura's massage techniques were mediocre and I almost walked out 1/2 way though. One more thing, the hot tub temperature is not adjustable and is not hot, body temp at best. I have never been cold in a hot tub. Needless to say, much room for improvement. My advise would be to avoid the dinner/massage combo deal. Eat dinner in many of the fine establishments in El Calafate town, take a hot shower and stretch your own muscles before bed.

Very well located in town at walking distance to main road and dining attractions. Do not miss complimentary hot tub and sauna at third floor, you must book ahead of time to get 30 minutes for yourself, ask the front desk. Clean and comfortable bedrooms, although tub is quite narrow, and the faucet drips still after we have reported the leak. Friendly staff is always a plus at any hotel, we had a warm reception upon arrival.

I couldn't find a special section to review the restaurant specifically, so this review is specific to eating dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The service was excellent. The food was hit or miss. The salad was great, but the meat was a huge miss, which is such a disappointment in Argentina. The meat was overlooked (we ordered two dishes and both were overlooked). Better to walk down the street to one of the main restaurants.

We stayed here for two nights. When we arrived we were given a room that had a broken heater. We reported this to front desk on our way out and they assured us that it would be fixed upon our arrival. We came back 3 hours later and the room was an oven, so we called down. We could not open a window as we were right above the trash bin and it stunk up the room. We asked to move rooms...they sent a technician who agreed that the heater was broken and called the front desk to alert them. I walked down to find another room...the woman at the front desk was short and annoyed that we wanted a different room (this is the first time we have ever asked to be moved in a hotel). She finally obliged and we moved rooms. The new room was much better. The problem was that the staff was rude to us for the rest of our stay...kind of uncomfortable. I kept thanking them for moving us, but that never helped. Pros: - Hotel is in good location - Breakfast is filling and very good - The bed was comfortable - Rooms are clean Cons - Rooms are not large and very outdated

A 2 night stay in el Calafate at the calafate parquet hotel. The hotel is in a great location close to the Main Street and the Lake. Our room was on the small side with an extremely small bathroom. Staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. A suggestion for anyone staying at the hotel is to request a room not overlooking the dumpster as it is very noisy on that side. Overall we had an extremely nice stay at the hotel
