Absolutely worst service in the world. John Rickett needs to be fired the old guy in the pic. Jeff The owner black hair, has no business running a hotel. My family comes in because the Red Cross helped out and the Fire took everything we owned. My son lost his dog and this place just kicked us out. They took our money now treats us like dogs. John Rickett this wanna be boss is rude raises his voice to women and thinks he can get away with anything. More like he talkes big then runs and hides. Now ur kicking out a family with a special needs child, in 90degree weather and we have money to PAY. This old guy said you don’t need to be here. We found Bed bugs, they never checked our rooms, changed towels, swept the floors. Housekeeping is god awful. You misserable pos I will go to quality inn don’t ever stay at Suite Dreams I feel sorry for the morning Guy. He was great Blake I think was his name, was awesome that’s the only thing going for this place.
We stayed here with a big group for a sports tournament. I don’t know where to begin. The entire property needs to be re-hauled. The outside is rundown and shady looking. The inside has so many issues. There are so many different, questionable and disgusting smells. The stairs to go upstairs are so dirty, it is clear they are never cleaned. Any glass doors or windows are gross to look through. We were in a pet room the first night, which was so disgusting. The inside rooms were a bit better...at least they don’t have bugs. The ceiling of the inner “holidome-ish” area is covered in mold and leaks if it is raining. We were there for two nights, I may have gotten two hours of sleep total. The second night there was a huge wedding that moved into the holidome and pool and partied throughout the entire night. It appears that the people who work there also live there, in multiple rooms. The whole place is very creepy. I cannot wait to be home, take a shower and wash and disinfect all of our things.
This a holidome type structure we requested a quiet room so we didn't have issue with pool noise. Breakfast was above average for hot. One day they had no fruit but they had apple sauce muffins to kill for. Second day muffins were more ordinary but there was fruit. Rooms are showing their age the bottom was falling out of one drawer. The only way to turn on/off one lamp was to unplug as the switch had broken off. Bedside plugs for cpap one side of bed had new lamp with a plug into lamp plug. other side had old lamp plugged into an extension cord so I had to unplug lamp to plug in CPAP machine. Parking lot and hallways need a good cleaning
I usually keep my opinions to myself, but after reading a recent negative review I had to say something! I stayed at this hotel this weekend and thought it was wonderful! Yes, the lobby was beautiful and the staff were very polite to me and my family. There were many people in the pool area and they all looked like they were having a blast! When we got into the pool the water was warm. We stayed in a "deluxe" room on the first floor by the pool (actually called a superior room) and it was great! Very clean, and spacious for the five of us. They even put a cot in the room for us only 5 minutes after asking! The super nice lady at the front desk, I think she said she was the owner, seemed like she really cared about her guests. I personally believe this is a great hotel to stay in and I do not understand why someone would leave a negative review. They missed out on a great breakfast!! Bacon and biscuits and gravy were WONDERFUL. We will be back.
This hotel is not acceptable and honestly should not be open. The hotel front desk gives you a sense of this maybe nice but turn the corner and you see this is a barely updated old holidome. The rooms for a deluxe are motel no tell size and the pool for which the reason I stayed was freezing and had MOLD all over the ceiling. This is when for the first time ever in my vacation life I asked for my money back and wanted to check out. This process was delayed by the fact there was no manager at hotel. Then after an hour the manager/owner arrived and was rude and taken aback that no one ever complained of this before. Now based on reviews on here I'm surprised too because not only was there mold but holes in roof where snow was dropping in. Also walking into my "deluxe" room there was urine already in toilet so that was wonderful too. So I say all this very calmly and at first was told no we couldn't have money back(my mistake I paid cash while I had it so not all would be charged to my card) after back and forth my money was returned. Then when we went to pleasant holiday inn express down street the manager called me and said I'm charging your card a cleaning fee because you were in it. I'm still fighting this. If you look back at my reviews I never write things like this. This is more then bad review this place should be closed. Pic of pool roof
After being lied to about the presence of vending machines. I had low expectations. This place exceeded said expectations. The fancy lobby has free gum and suckers, as well as direct access to a full bar. Housekeeping leaves cute little towel swans on every bed, which was a nice surprise. If you're in town, definitely give this place a try.
Owners/workers are very accommodating. I have stayed here twice in this past year for conventions and they are doing a good job updating the property. Good conference room. Rooms comfortable. Nice pool and commons area. Breakfast is great and now they have a bar opened with a restaurant. Great place and good price.
The outside looked a little rough but the inside lobby looked like an entirely different place...they are clearly renovating. We were disappointed to hear that the restaurant/lounge, that was a deciding factor for our stay, would not be open for another week or two. However, after a comfortable night's sleep and a hot breakfast, we sneaked a peek of what is to come and I am very much looking forward to staying here on our next visit. The indoor pool area was most impressive! It is beautifully landscaped to look like a backyard. Well done!! Visiting with the front desk,we learned a little about the owners and their vision for the restaurant. This has great potential of becoming a destination place for both travelers AND locals!
My family every year decided to go camping so we all meet in shelbyviile. I no longer have a camper so we googled hotels. Found this and WOW. Checked in Friday nice staff friendly wonderful beautiful place. So we show up and was told about the breakfast but wasn’t told exactly what they had. Omg this was an impressive spread. Everything you could want. The young man working Saturday morning is very tentative, quick seemed to know what he needed and how the breakfast worked and flowed very well. I’ll say this he greeted everyone and watched the eggs and bacon like a hawk. The most impressive thing is Sunday, how he made sure to say good morning to everyone. During my breakfast he was talking to a gentleman who said it was Sunday and he should be playing the piano. The young man said enjoy your breakfast. He turned on a few lights returned and asked the elder man to join him. We then hear piano music playing. It was so nice and refreshing to see shivery at all ages. This young man should be in management.
Nice lobby , friendly staff...dated but clean rooms..if you want a cheap stay while visiting the kids at school, give it a try..Did not use the pool, fitness center or eat the breakfast , just spend the night to sleep..
