Absolutely loved knowing after the end of the day, I had this nice spacious area to come back to. Overall the facility was great. Very clean. However, this is in a college dorm, so Saturday nights could get quite noisy. Also there was construction in the floors above us. They would work will into the wee hours of the night and you would hear them throw items in the dumpster and roll things across the floor. I am guessing after that is completed this would be a wonderful experience. Another thing that was a big hangup for me was that the internet was spotty. Would go in and out. I would try to FaceTime my family and it would constantly go out. But overall it was in a great location. Tesco was right around the corner!

Very pricy during high season (Fringe time). Odd, chopped-up space on two internal levels. Perfectly functional, with kitchenette. Not appealing aesthetically, just a place to lay your head. Breakfast adequate, but not up to the standards of a respectable Scottish B&B. And there was an extra charge for it, because we were in a unit with a kitchenette (but we couldn't have cooked our own breakfast unless we had shopped for the food and brought it back to cook, all for one night's stay).

The room was clean and pleasant, though a bit loud (I can easily hear things like suitcases rolling on the floor above me and my neighbors unlocking and locking their door). The hotel staff was extremely pleasant but not always at the front desk.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Richmond Place Apartments. There is no better way to experience a new place than renting a fully furnished flat, and living like a local. The Apartments are centrally located, very close to the university, and act as an amazing home base for a great walking city!

In a quiet neighborhood about a 15 minute walk to Waverly Station and Princes Street. Run by University of Edinburgh so lots of coffee shops and nicely priced restaurants. Grocery shopping within five minutes walk.

Nice clean simple room - but with kitchenette. Great location, just a short walk to the Royal Mile and next to Holyrood Park. Staff was great!

Suite was a bit tiny but none the less, very nice and quite cozy. Staff was exceptionally courteous and very helpful with directions or advice. They printed out our boarding pass for the airport, plus made an appointment the next day for a reasonable taxi, who was right on time. Price was very good compared to others in area and with location was terrific. I certainly would stay again.

Our experience at Richmond Place Apartments was good. The self-service apartment was very clean and new. The kitchen was well-appointed with cookware, dishes, and utensils. The bathroom was very nice and a good size. The only problem we had was the ventilation. Scotland was experiencing a heat wave at the time, and the only window in the apartment opened just 4-5 inches. As a result, it was very warm and airless in the apartment, compounded by the odor of adhesives that accompany a new place. The location of the apartments was great--just a block off Nicholson St. and 4-5 blocks from the Royal Mile.

The Richmond apartments are amazing. We loved our stay there. They have everything a traveler wants: a great shower, nice bed, laundry room ( we'd been traveling for a while and loved getting clean clothes!), a nice flat screen tv, and great staff. There are convenience stores that are really cheap ( pound savers and pound stretchers) with all you need. It takes maybe 10 min or 15 min to get to the royal mile. That's where everything in Edinburgh is, so you're all set!

These apartments share access with the university dorm. We found some of the students to be quite rude. The apartment was adequate, but the bathroom was located on the entry level, which meant to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night you had to brave a steep set of stairs. The location was within a couple of blocks from some of the main tourist attractions; however, it is a hike from the airport bus shuttle and train station. Not a bad place, unless the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night and according to the student population, it is a weekly occurrence.

It's small but quite nice. Equiped with lots of cooking utensils if you want, but it has relatively little service. The biggest plus is that it is quite central - walking distance to many of the major attractions. And the price can be quite affordable. Generally, the apartment is clean, although with a slight odour related to damp.

We planned on spending all our time out, so we needed a bed, a bathroom, and a minimal kitchen to cook in. Richmond Place is in a great location for hiking to the Royal Mile or Princess Street for shopping, catching a bus to other locations, or getting to Waverly Station for a train. It's in a student dorm for post grads at Edinburgh University, and actually very quiet. If you want nice accommodations with a truly self-catered experience, this is the place! Would stay there again, but take a washcloth the next time!
