Family Apartment in Fountain Park

Welcome to our cozy flat which is located next to Edinburgh City Centre.

It was a one bedroom flat however we have converted the place into a two bedrooms. One bedroom has a loft you may use as a small office or play area, downstairs is a double bed and a single bed which is amazing for families with kids!

The other bedroom has just one king size bed - perfect for couples!

We then have a separately bathroom, toilet and kitchen which comes equipped.
The apartment features a kitchenette and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, an electric kettle, and an ironing board.

We had three adults staying, so plenty of room for us. It's an older building, but the sheets and towels were clean, the shower was hot, and the kettle & the washer/dryer combo worked fine. Apartment is a 3 minute walk to the bus that takes you to old town. A good affordable accommodation for those looking to explore Edinburgh on a budget.

Where to begin…. When we arrived at the property, I used my printout of the directions to access the key. It didn’t work. We stood there trying to figure it out, then logged back into the app to discover the post had changed the code to get in within the past hour. Apartment was sufficient, however there were a few issues. One, to lock the front door, you had to use an old-fashioned key which didn’t work very well to lock the door. It was rickety and difficult to do. If there was a fire or another emergency, that would be a serious hazard!!Next, the ad for the apartment states 2 bathrooms, one with a shower. No, it was basically a split bathroom in 2 rooms. One had a toilet and miniature sink and a completely other room had a shower/tub and sink. The bathroom with the toilet smelled very strongly of urine which made the place feel like it had not been cleaned. We had issues with the hot water not working sometimes. We discovered to make it work there was a string from the ceiling that you had to pull to reset the breaker then the hot water would work. That’s fine, however there were no directions on the wall telling us this! The ad also states that there was a washer and dryer. This was the main reason I chose this apartment. There was only a very small washer but no dryer! There was a drying rack provided so you could hang all your wet clothes to dry, assuming you are there long enough. Very overpriced for what it was!!! Do NOT recommend!!
