I've just spent two nights in what could have been and should have been a very nice hotel. I have to use a crutches Ive broken my foot and was taken to a room with stairs up and down, the next day I was shown another route! Bit late! I ate a very bad"beef patty"burger that was as soggy and tasteless as could be and left to my room. At 9-30 I had problems with my foot and couldn't walk. Spent almost an hour trying to call reception for ice but could not get through. No connection with reception. Slept with pain killers. After breakfast, which was far better than said burger,I went to complain and to see what had happened. I'm so sorry ,was all I received. I had to kill time in the hotel as my trip was to leave Tuesday. Dinner again...the most disgusting chicken salad I've had the displeasure to even look at never mind taste! I could see the plate which was a side plate, not even enough salad to cover the bottom, 4 cubes of chicken,4 of feta,4 of boiled egg and 4 of unripe tomato covered in a green glue from a bottle! I left . Enough said. Don't eat there. The rooms are shabby,it's all seen better days . What a disaster. And the Wi-Fi wasn't working either.
The service we receive at the hotel was the best, it was nothing that we thought of. The boat cruise was well organized. we do not regret coming to the hotel and we will surely recommend it to other couples
Although run-down and somewhat neglected, you can't beat the location of the Halyards Hotel. There are beautiful views of the marina from your room. Although my room had an unpleasant smell and the curtains didn't close properly, my bed was comfortable and the service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. The whole hotel could do with an upgrade as it truly offers so much in terms of atmosphere.
I enjoyed talking to the guy at the bar. I so wish I dont have to ask for towel because it is mandatory to have towel in rooms. But i enjoyed the view from my room. Breakfast was the best ever compliments to the chef
We were met by friendly professional staff. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable .Meals were tasty and well presented-with an exceptional breakfast. We felt at home in this tranquil setting. We will visit again.
I recently used the Halyards as a teambuilding destination again. The service was good and the conference room was great with a newly renovated look and a few extras than previously. The food is always really good and the clients had a lot of fun. It is a great location - very accessible and close to amenities. It has huge potential and has all that is needed for a wonderful conference destination and enjoyable stay!
We spent 3 nights here with a group. We had a very enjoyable time here and we found the staff friendly and efficient. Our room was separated from the main hotel building with its restaurant and bar, but access was easy and sheltered, by a covered walkway. Our room was spacious with a double bed and two singles in the room. Unusual to have a separate bathroom and toilet, only problem being that the toilet had no hand basin, so you had to get into the bathroom to wash your hands. Our room was depressingly dark and there was only one bedside light to read by. (I'm sure the management would have provided another had we asked!). Our evening meals were pre-ordered and were of an acceptable standard. Bar was good and well stocked and prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was very good with a charming chef on duty. Our room was on the ground floor giving access to the riverfront - Watch it if you have young children - easy for them to fall in!
need upgrade no person can stay in a dump like that. 1 Year ago we stayed at the same Hotel and in 1 year it is worse, this is the most rundown hotel ever. they ask us to come back to review omw even worse that is happening.
Beautiful, neat , peaceful environment, the rooms were clean and clean linen, I enjoyed the champagne and the snack buscket, our rooms were close to each other, it was easy to go check your friends next door
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at The Haylards Hotel. Our rooms were right on the marina so we had amazing views, the food was divine & the staff were friendly & helpful. We received service with a smile the entire time!
