Good value for money

Good value for money, family run business. Little basic on the breakfast for the cost but otherwise friendly staff and clean venue. Gets my recommendation and i am looking forward to my 3rd stay

I would recommend this hotel if you dont mind stairs and dont need any help from the staff. There is a lift but there are still so many stairs and long corridors. They were prewarned I was disabled getting to and from our 2 double bedded family room (which was nice, clean, quiet) with 2 young children, pushchair and luggage was awful. Not once would they offer to help, even watched us struggling! Steps up to the front reception. Steps down to the lift. Many sets of stairs up to the room ( 1 had stair lift which we had to lift the pushchair over) long corriders. Exhausted we were happy to see the clean family room with 2 comfy double beds and a large bathroom. Very welcomed. Tv in room but reception awful, couldnt watch it. We booked this hotel for the Air show and the parking which was at the back of the hotel, garages £15 a night. I eventually was allowed to park by the garages which was easier for my disabilities. Make crystal clear in a email your requirements. I paid a whopping £155 for 1 night (Airshow price) so i did expect a little welcome and help. Expedia didnt help with thier invoice system The hotel was very convenient as ran parallel to the centre of the flight display 5min walk which was fantastic. Lots of restaurants, cafes etc etc close by.

Good location

Visited Eastbourne for the tennis tournament and the hotel was nearby. The Towner gallery, good restaurants and the seafront were also round the corner. The layout of the hotel was labyrinthine, but our room was comfortable, clean and quiet, and the staff were very helpful.

Where did they get 3 stars?

The bed was so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep. It also had a musty moldy smell like it had been very wet. Because we were on the top floor it got to be unbearably hot, which definitely made the smell worse.

This has to be one of the worst places I have stayed in a long time. The check in desk closes at 10pm, why did it not mention that when booking the hotel - I travelled 5 hours to get their and so had to reschedule meetings to get their in time. The breakfast does not start till 9am on a WEEK DAY! My first meeting was at 9am, I paid for breakfast but could not have it.

Very clean and comfy room, facilities were nice and was great for a single night stay. Disappointed with the parking as was advertised as secure parking, yet I was guided to park in the middle of a set of storage units at the back of the hotel. Staff were friendly and hotel looked well kept, nice location too.

Lovely hotel very close to the seaside. Excellent service. We got our room upgraded for free. Freshly cooked tasty breakfast. Cheap parking. Definitely recommend.
