Modern one bedroom home within Kirby’s mountains

Come enjoy our Mini Kirby VT Hideaway. This 1 bedroom home makes a great place to enjoy VT’s mountainous views. Located near the Burke Mountain Ski Resort, the Kingdom Bike Trails, & local restaurants. You may recognize the name “Kirby Hideaway.” That’s because it’s right above our other rental home! You can rent the mini version by itself or both for large groups. They’re separated by trees for privacy but close enough to be combined. The mini Kirby hideaway is newly designed and modern! IMPORTANT: In the winter, a vehicle with AWD/4WD with WINTER tires is required. The hill is steep and it can get slippery.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a kitchen island.

--The house and facilities was excellent; in very well-kept condition. Amenities were excellent. --The view was awesome, especially during the fall foliage season. --Driving was quite a challenge as it was a rocky dirt road. Car needed a really good wash after our stay. --Using the bathroom sink was a challenge as the cabinet was directly over it so it didn't give much room to lean over without bumping our heads.

Beautiful accommodations and an unmatched view of the mountains. You’ll definitely need an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive to get to the cabin. It’s worth the drive though! It’s a cozy space with plenty of outdoor room to relax. The kitchen is well stocked with anll the tools you need to make a nice meal ans well. Also, Todd the owner is an excellent communicator and responsive! 10/10 would stay here again!

We had a lovely time at Mini Kirby Hideaway; it was exactly what my husband, myself, and our dogs needed: time in a quiet, relaxing space. We rode from the house to Kingdom Trails; therefore, even the location was in a prime spot. We definitely will be staying here again.

Todd is a wonderful host. He is extraordinarily responsive. The house is beautifully set up. The kitchen has everything you need to make full meals you can enjoy in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the stunning valley. The house is an easy drive to Willoughby lake and Mt, Pisgah for a day of hiking. We also biked on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and visited Hill Farmstead Brewery for spectacular beers in a lovely setting. As someone else noted, you really want to have a 4-wheel drive car to navigate the hill up to the house. The outdoor shower is an added bonus.

Kingdom Trails visit

Beautiful, quiet spot up on the hillside overlooking the valley. My wife and I came up to check out the Kingdom mountain bike trails and were not disappointed. The house is an easy 15-20 min drive to the trails, as well as the bike shop, cafes, and small market in East Burke. It was helpful having all-wheel drive getting up the hill to the house, and once there check in was incredibly easy, and the house was super clean and well appointed with all new appliances. The electric cooktop took a little getting used to - it got a little smoky making dinner the first night. It was great having everything we needed in the kitchen to make all of our meals. The outdoor shower was a nice bonus, too, after a day riding in the middle of summer.
