After a less than ideal experience the night before in another town, the Residence Inn was a welcome destination. I had a family of four (kids 9/5) that stayed in the Studio unit. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The pull out bed was a little small but the couch included a chaise that one of the kids decided to sleep on which created the space needed for everybody. The service was great at the Front Desk & in the breakfast room both nights. The diversity of the breakfast was also one of the better ones we have seen lately. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tubs. The resort is located very close to the Downtown area which was convenient for our daily activities. I would recommend the Residence Inn for anybody looking for a home base while they explored Durango.
Quick overnight stay at this hotel. Looks very clean and the reception people were very helpful The room I stayed in a nice furnishings very up-to-date and modern. The location was convenient to many good restaurants and the interstate was only a couple blocks away from where I was staying. I needed to leave early the next morning to travel home to Arizona and the close proximity to the freeway was very helpful
We were impressed with the friendly staff members. Whether at breakfast or the happy hour in the afternoon, staff went above and beyond to make sure your needs were met. The room was spacious and comfortable. The room key worked at the front and back doors, but not at the side door which was unfortunate because we like to use the stairs.
We had a great four day stay here. The breakfast was very good and expansive, with cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, four different hot foods, make your own burritos, waffles, gluten free bagels, coffee, tea, juice, iced coffee, hard boiled eggs, cheese, and probably other things I'm forgetting. Plenty for the kids to pick from. The breakfast staff was very helpful and friendly. The kids loved the pool (a little cold for me). The hotel is a short walk from the Animas river trail, which is a nice place to run or walk. The bed was very comfy, considering I was sharing it with my spouse and five year old. We had a king suite which was big enough for four. Big kid was fine on the pullout sofa. It was a bit noisy two nights because the upstairs guests were heavy walkers. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate a couple of meals in and packed a lot of lunches for our adventures. We also prepped food and had picnics at the nearby Santa Rita park. The hotel is close to Albertsons and a natural foods store. The laundry was convenient and cheap. All in all I'd happily stay here again, but would opt for a two bedroom suite. Sadly they were booked.
Location is good. Walking distance to old town and restaurants. Residence Inn - you know you get. Good beds. Full kitchen. Few minutes by car to Albertson (grocery). Durango is a cosy historic. Would like to go back.
The rooms are spacious with all the things you could need. The hotel is clean and friendly. There was room in the parking lot for our 25 foot RV. The pool is indoors but not heated. There is also a jacuzzi. The free breakfast has a nice selection.
Great hotel for people with families. We stayed several nights and were very happy with the quality of the rooms and the helpfulness of the staff. The couple that maintain the breakfast area were hands down the hardest working people we've ever seen at a hotel. There were only two of them serving the entire hotel, but they kept all the food stocked and tables cleared and were sweet and patient throughout. These two are keepers. The indoor pool was also fun for the kids and they have a basketball court and other outdoor activities too.
This way nice find for us. We were on vacation and enjoyed the area mountain adventures, bike rides, hikes and beautiful scenery. Nice room layout and comfy beds. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Clean and convenient to the area sites. Thank you we will recommend it to everyone!!
We stayed here for three days while we looked around the area. Rooms were nice and clean with no hotel smell you find in some. Their breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast but was still pretty good concidering you didn't have to go out to look for something. There is an indoor pool that our grandson enjoyed playing in.
We stayed here for two days before checking into Colorado Trails Guest Ranch (awesome place!). At the Residence Inn we had the two bedroom/two bath room. It was perfect for our family if 5. The breakfast was very good (and free!). Kids loved the pool and hot tub ... and especially the mini tennis court. There are also washers and dryers on site which was very convenient (cost about $1 each load plus a cost for detergent and dryer sheet - would recommend bring your own!). The hotel is nothing exciting, but clean, convenient and spacious! Would recommend!
