Purgatory Resort is just two minutes away, offering year-round activities including skiing, tubing, an alpine slide, scenic ski lifts, and more. Head north for a day trip to Silverton and take in the breathtaking views along the spectacular San Juan Scenic Byway.

If you decide to venture out from the “Bear Cave” and explore the Durango area, you'll find attractions like the Narrow Gauge Railroad, river rafting, ziplining, and historic downtown—just to name a few.
