Save your money and take the premiere classes or ibis , I wish I did. I paid extra for a hotel that I can’t even get WiFi at! Every 30 seconds WiFi is fails. Unbelievable. Carpets in my room were filthy, rest of hotel was clean but that’s it, you pay tons of money and cannot evens get Internet? Also lies about air conditioning there is no air conditioning here. Take off ur amenities list. Really Dissapointed, sad- because it seemed good at first
PROS/CONS. PROS: Stayed here twice. Really great shuttle from airport for 12 euros. hotel is very nice upon entry and the staff is very friendly! Restaurant/bar area is really enjoyable, food is very good. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern. Nice bathrooms!! CONS: WiFi is terrible. I had to “login” to the WiFi every 5 minutes, before i would lose connection again. If you have business/work to do this is VERY inconvenient. For the price you pay the WiFi should at least be strong. They need to have a secure connection as the connection is public and very weak. Also no Air cond. just In the summer it can be quite warm..and when you open the window..within 5 minutes the room is filled with flies, which is unfortunate because you feel you must keep the windows closed and it can become quite hot. Lastly, there are no other food spots or supermarkets around. Yes there is a “real supermarket” close by but about 1,5 km...to walk, this is quite far(with no sidewalk to walk on, on a busy road) I enjoyed my stay here besides these reasons! it is a good hotel, but,.. definitely needs to fix the WiFi..
Very nice friendly staff. Good food, and pristine room. All in all, a very nice and convenient place to stay if you have an early flight out of late flight in to Düsseldorf airport. Not so easy to find from the Main Street if traveling by car.
I stayed at the Mercure hotel Dusseldorf airport for approx 7 months on and off due to an ongoing project I had in the area. The service was always quick - check in and out never took more than 2-5 minutes so even when the queue was long it did not take long to check in. The guys (and awesome Bojana) at reception were always so kind and responsive, especially Daniel - he always helped me out with things I needed and made my stay extremely convenient - it's true what they say - it's ALL about the people. Hugh plus - at the reception you can treat yourself with great green apples each day. The rooms were always very clean and had all the toiletries I required. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet enough to have a good sleep quality. I took the privileged room so each day I could chose two items from the mini bar that included chocolate and beer - I usually got the water :) The hotel is located close to a horse farm so on a nice day you could overlook the farm and enjoy the site of horses hanging out - I found it quite relaxing after a long day at my customer. There's no heating system in the room and it does get quite hot in the summer, but one phone call to reception will get you a fan which is good enough to chill for the night. The location is also good - only 15 minutes ride from Dusseldorf airpot and that would cost you 30-40 EUR. The restaurant at the hotel has good food but has slow service and a limited menu. Breakfast is quite good and has everything you need, from bacon to small weisswurts, scramble eggs, fruit salad etc'. Nice lady named Michaella was always so lovely, just the vibes I needed so early in the morning. As I said - it's ALL about the people. The hotel also have a small workout room. I wouldn't call it a gym but it's certainly sufficient and does the job. Will definitely go back to this hotel if f i'm ever in the area again!
One of the worse hotels have seen. The only nice thing was the lobby, bar and restaurant (where the food was actually good) The room was old and dirty The corridors and elevator were dirty and seem to have never been replaced in 10 or more years
Older but very clean property in an almost rural setting between Ratingen and Dusseldorf. There is nothing within walking distance. Travel by car is very convenient, because major highways are very close. So is a big REAL supermarket. The staff was very nice and efficient. Breakfast was good with many choices. My room was spacious and quiet with a comfy bed and a good wifi connection. Depending on the room and/or duration (?) the parking is either free or 6 Euros per day. If this is important to you then check before booking. I was very satisfied and will stay there again.
We were very satisfied with our stay. Nice room ,delicious dinner og perfect breakfirst. One of the best breakfirst I have had at a hotel. The location is ok but not very central, the temperature of the room was too high. The training room was nice too.
The hotel located in remot area close to the airport and fair ground. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Front office employees where much friendly and like to help. Food was good with varaity. Shuttle services help a lot and if arranged for fair ground it will be very nice.
I had to leave my hotel in Essen, where I was attending a trade show, to join my team at this most inconveniently located hotel in the middle of horse fields. The hotel has a restaurant with a somewhat limited menu. I till the breakfast which was pretty boring by German breakfast standards. One of the juice dispensers was inoperable. My room looked upon the back parking lot. The hot water kettle had a cristy sediment burned inside it. One of the two outlets on the desk wall was inoperable. There was no minibar or refrigerator, only the empty cabinet where one should have been. The thermostat was non functional and the heat was turned up every night. The room was dry and stuffy. The bath tub and shower was very elevated, so seniors beware. The room was nonsmoking but the bathroom smelled of stale tobacco. The internet had to be rejoined often but was ok by most standards. The hallways smelled like a locker room and the tiny elevator was pretty banged up. The staff were friendly and professional but could not overcome the cold atmosphere of this hotel. This is the kind of place you would stay if your flight was cancelled and you had to be near the airport. Unfortunately for me, I had to stay five days. Never again.
We needed a hotel nearby just for the night as we had to catch a train to Amsterdam the next morning. Unfortunately we didn’t check how far the hotel was from the airport. Airport hotel suggests that it’s in the airport vicinity. We could’ve opted for one right outside the airport (Maritim I think it was) but we opted for Mercure because it was cheaper and information desk informed us that they offered shuttles (head to the Europecar desk to ask). What they didn’t mention is that the shuttle cost and extra 24euros per person/ per trip so it adds up. Rather stay closer to the hotel for that price. The hotel was good though, the bed was comfortable and room had heating (although not central, worked pretty well). Breakfast was great with plenty of options (an extra 12euros per person was paid for that too). If you look at what’s close to the hotel all inclusive works out the same so save yourself the trip if you looking at just price.
