Older but very clean property in an almost rural setting between Ratingen and Dusseldorf. There is nothing within walking distance. Travel by car is very convenient, because major highways are very close. So is a big REAL supermarket. The staff was very nice and efficient. Breakfast was good with many choices. My room was spacious and quiet with a comfy bed and a good wifi connection. Depending on the room and/or duration (?) the parking is either free or 6 Euros per day. If this is important to you then check before booking. I was very satisfied and will stay there again.
We were very satisfied with our stay. Nice room ,delicious dinner og perfect breakfirst. One of the best breakfirst I have had at a hotel. The location is ok but not very central, the temperature of the room was too high. The training room was nice too.
The hotel located in remot area close to the airport and fair ground. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Front office employees where much friendly and like to help. Food was good with varaity. Shuttle services help a lot and if arranged for fair ground it will be very nice.
I had to leave my hotel in Essen, where I was attending a trade show, to join my team at this most inconveniently located hotel in the middle of horse fields. The hotel has a restaurant with a somewhat limited menu. I till the breakfast which was pretty boring by German breakfast standards. One of the juice dispensers was inoperable. My room looked upon the back parking lot. The hot water kettle had a cristy sediment burned inside it. One of the two outlets on the desk wall was inoperable. There was no minibar or refrigerator, only the empty cabinet where one should have been. The thermostat was non functional and the heat was turned up every night. The room was dry and stuffy. The bath tub and shower was very elevated, so seniors beware. The room was nonsmoking but the bathroom smelled of stale tobacco. The internet had to be rejoined often but was ok by most standards. The hallways smelled like a locker room and the tiny elevator was pretty banged up. The staff were friendly and professional but could not overcome the cold atmosphere of this hotel. This is the kind of place you would stay if your flight was cancelled and you had to be near the airport. Unfortunately for me, I had to stay five days. Never again.
We needed a hotel nearby just for the night as we had to catch a train to Amsterdam the next morning. Unfortunately we didn’t check how far the hotel was from the airport. Airport hotel suggests that it’s in the airport vicinity. We could’ve opted for one right outside the airport (Maritim I think it was) but we opted for Mercure because it was cheaper and information desk informed us that they offered shuttles (head to the Europecar desk to ask). What they didn’t mention is that the shuttle cost and extra 24euros per person/ per trip so it adds up. Rather stay closer to the hotel for that price. The hotel was good though, the bed was comfortable and room had heating (although not central, worked pretty well). Breakfast was great with plenty of options (an extra 12euros per person was paid for that too). If you look at what’s close to the hotel all inclusive works out the same so save yourself the trip if you looking at just price.
Stayed there for one night during a layover flight. Further away from the airport as anticipated (15 mins by car) and as the shuttle does not operate past 23.00 had to take a taxi which was 40€ one way. The shuttle service in the morning was only 12€. Staff very friendly, professional and made me feel welcome. Room clean, bed comfy. Price very good. Corridors and lift could do with a make-over, look a little neglected. But would stay there again, if my flight times were within the shuttle running time.
More than the stop to go back home. Dusseldorf is an amazing city, with lots of places for visiting and enjoying. The hotel is only a little bit far from fhe city. It is not so closed to the airport either: 14 km.
I really enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast , cleanlinnes and the hotel rooms are very nice. I work in a hotel and I must say that i didnt found any hair in the bathroom. I did not used the lounge but next time I will
Fantastic hotel. I’d had the travel story from hell, and had to fill in nearly 24 hours -I also was not well. So friendly at reception, Christmas cookies and decorations, very helpful. Room simple but well designed warm and quiet. I had a great supper in the restaurant, and the breakfast was more varied then many bigger chains. Just one warning - it is around 13 km from airport -with good weather conditions and traffic very quick, otherwise some 25 minutes. Efficient shuttle but it does cost €12. I would say that all of this was worth it for the warmth at the other end, in every sense.
I was only one nigth but wasn't a good election. Shower haven't possibility to mix water, only hot water...boiling. My status silver wasn't corresponded with any attention, no fast checking, not dink welcome... Was a error
