Really good hotel with friendly staff, spa, swiming pools, great views, good food and atractive location. Very affordable off- season prices. Recently renewed rooms and interiors. Excelent place to go if you want to visit Dubrovnik outside high touristic season.
Stayed here for 3 nights in October. Incredible hotel, super friendly and helpful staff, and the views are Wow!! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone! Unfortunately it was stormy when we were there so we didn't make use of the outdoor swimming pool but we did squeeze in a quick dip in the sea. The indoor pool was lovely and quiet, perfect for a relaxing swim after exploring Dubrovnik. Restaurant Zoe is exceptional! The seafood is delicious, the service outstanding and the wine too! Would recommend walking along the coastal path into town for more restaurants and bars and for great nightlife.
We stayed here for two nights at the end of October, we were part of a group of 3 families (5 adults, one teenager and three 7 year olds). This hotel is part of a large complex of adjoining hotel buildings. I would recommend that if you travel as part of a group and want to be near to each other that you book the rooms all together and make clear to the hotel that you want to be close together. I had booked a luxury suite, and when we arrived my part of the group were whisked away to the opposite end of the hotel with a different reception desk and a room miles away from everyone else! The hotel is large and spread across several levels and it can take a little while to find your way around, however the facilities are excellent and if you don't want to you don't need to leave the grounds. There are several pools, some with access directly into the sea via steps, plus indoor pools. There are several bars and restaurants, and a fitness centre. There is a little beach area, however it is very rocky and care needs to be taken. Make sure you bring water shoes! We had a very spacious room at the back of the hotel (no sea view), it had a little kitchenette and two bathrooms and a big balcony. It was very clean and modern, the beds were comfy. The hotel is over 3 miles away from the old town, however a local bus picks up right outside and goes to the Pile Gate, fare is about £1. There is a walking path which takes you to the bars and restaurants of the local area in about 10 minutes, we ate in a couple of good restaurants here - Marianno and Pantarul. A taxi to/from the airport costs about £30, and takes 20 minutes or so. We enjoyed our stay at the Neptun Hotel, and if we visited Dubrovnik again we would probably stay here again.
As this was a special trip for a special birthday we paid extra and booked two panoramic sea view bedrooms. I was concerned as many reviews about people not receiving the room booked so we emailed the hotel to double check before arriving. On arriving the check in man was not very pleasant as I asked him did we have the right room and he told me "this is a big complex how do you expect me to know which room you've got!" Needless to say on reaching the room we had a great view of a roof covered in white pebble and in the far distance some sea. On going back to reception to query we saw the other guy on duty who rudely told me that's a panoramic seaview room as you booked. Nothing wrong with his English maybe the hotel doesn't understand what panoramic sea view means! He was going to get someone to contact me the next day but ofcourse it never happened! I did speak to a lovely polite lady the next day and she offered me another room on a higher floor but still with a side sea view. So be careful what you pay extra for! The side sea view room was adequate with everything you needed except the view! Besides the 2 men on reception when checking in we found the rest of the staff to be very friendly and polite. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely and the terrace has great views. We were half board and the evening meals were pleasant always something there to eat. We ate lunch once in the Bar on the Rocks it was not so nice. Many pools in the complex the roof top adults pool was my favourite. The hotel is in a lovely area with a walking path along the coast. We used Uber all the time which worked great. We found the food and drinks to be expensive in the hotel probably more expensive than most of the old town. They will not serve you tap wster even though it is of a high quality and to but it at the hitel is extortionate for wster.
Hotel Neptun is part of the Importanne resort and has recently been completely renovated and redesigned. As soon as you enter the hotel you will be welcomed by the smiling hotel staff who have information about everything you need. I had a room on the 4th floor and the hotel was so close to the sea that I had fallen asleep and woke up with the sound of the sea. The room was new, spacious, clean and airy. The bed was comfortable and big, you can sleep like a king! I was really impressed by the sea view you are looking at when you have breakfast and morning coffee. If you want to escape from everyday life and spend a vacation in paradise, book your stay in Neptun Hotel!
We stayed one night but unfortunately was given a room facing inland so I cannot say anything about the great sea view. However the hotel is fitted with a great pool with terraces leading to the water edge and you can do great photo shoots here especially during sunrise. The rooms are clean with clean sheets n towels. They even provide hair dryer and tea making facilities and slippers. Strong free WiFi in the room. Staff were friendly with strong greetings. The buffet breakfast spread was ample and had wide choices. I loved the yoghurt and nuts section. Can stay again.
We have just got back from staying here for a week and have mixed feelings about our stay .This hotel is part of a complex of 4 hotels The first issue we had we did not get the room that we thought we were getting which seems to be a common problem We asked for a panoramic sea view room and basically got a side seaview room on the 3rd floor over looking a roof I would not like to be staying here in summer when the heat can be 40 degrees and need to drink loads of water as my water bill could exceed my holidays costs as the hotel refuse to supply tap water at dinner and charge nearl £3.00 for a small bottle of water Bearing in mind Dubrovnik has some of the best water supplies in the area i think this is short sighted We opted for half board and found the choices sometimes a bit weird at dinner .We found the break to be be good offering a good choice The location of the hotel is good with easy access to a good local bus service The rooms are well furnished and very clean and the staff were always very polite Would we stay here again perhaps not we would probably try somewhere else
We stayed at the hotel for 9 days and couldn't fault the hotel or service. The hotel is part of the Importanne resort so there are a few hotels next door and you can use their facilities FOC. We loved the roof top pool next door at the Royal princess. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice including an omlette station - Ivan made these to order and were great. We only ate once at the hotel in restaurant Zoe and were pleasantly surprised with our food. Our hotel room was great and balcony overlooked the sea where you could watch all off the boats and cruise ships travelling towards the port. The views of the sunset were amazing! Our maid was brilliant and our room was cleaned thoroughly everyday to a high standard. We used uber to get about, it made sense since it wasn't much more expensive than the bus and took us straight to the door of where we were heading. The bus stop is only 2 minutes away though. We enjoyed staying in Lapad bay as we could get to the old town within 10 mins but could enjoy chilling out at the hotel whenever we wanted. Overall, a great stay and great hotel! I'd definitely recommend this hotel, as it has the best of both!
The best part of this hotel is probably the views. The beaches and swimming areas are awesome, and we spent loads of time drinking beer and lazing in the sun. If you'd prefer a pool, there are many to choose from. I highly recommend the rooftop pool which has jaw-dropping views. The room was very comfortable and modern, and had everything you could ever need. To get to the old city of Dubrovnik, you'll need to take the number 6 bus, which stops very close to the hotel. It takes about 15 minutes to get there and the bus is very tourist-friendly, and cheap! Don't bother with a taxi.
I stayed here with my husband for 2 weeks at the beginning of September booked thru jet2 holidays. We had a standard double room and half board. The room - everything you would expect, including a kettle and tea/coffee and a safe - at no extra charge. A proper hairdryer (not wall mounted) and toiletries as well. No bath but large shower cubicle, some have said there are no doors to the bathroom - our was a sliding door - space saving but private. Our room had a blind at the window - I like a really dark room so we also closed the external shutters - result. The terrace restaurant is buffet style - always hot and well cooked. We heard some complaints from other guests but we could not understand why. Some evenings were themed - Dalmatian, Italian, BBQ and always delicious. My husband would have liked baked beans with his breakfast but I pointed out he can have them at home ! Because the Neptun is in the Important (?) chain the hotels seem to share each others facilities, especially the swimming pools. It was great to be able to use the pools by the sea and the rooftop pool at Ocean Blue. But we really liked the small infinity pool near the Neptun bar. You can walk to the old city from here - about an hour, but the bus is nearby and being at the terminus you're guaranteed a seat. You can walk to the Gruz harbour and into Lapad itself. The coastal walk to Copacabana Beach is lovely. We took a trip to the Elaphati islands (booked at one of the kiosks in Lapad) - this was cheap and cheerful but well worth it to be able to swim in the lovely warm sea at Lopud island. Also had a delicious icecream there.
