Very nice hotel with a friendly staff and clean rooms. Very convenient due to the proximity of the airport, highly recommend.
Have stayed here many times as I like the location of Regency Hotel ideally situated between city centre and Dublin Airport..If you can get a room in new part of hotel much more comfortable..the leisure center is great to unwind and free for guests. The hotel food is not good better off trying places nearby.Overall enjoyable stay
Nice and clean. Perfect for a couple of days in Dublin. Not so far from centre and good Spa.
If you have a layover it's a great space. The location and view is wonderful. The room is perfectly nice and you get what you pay for. Wish the bed was not so stiff but that's honestly my only complaint. Great place.
Very nice! Comfortable distance to City Center and transportation.
We only reqlly stayed for a day, the room was a typical "hotel" room, two beds an old television, the rpom didnt really have a view, but it was good for only 50usd a night. The buildin is old and needs some repairs but overal an average hotel in an old classical building. Onething is its distance from city centre but transportation is avaliable.
This was dreadful. We re-booked the third day and spent $1000 more NOT to be there. Absolutely noisy...far away from town center (and a bus strike) Broken furniture. Overall feeling of not clean. View from room was dreadful, peeling and dirty stucco rail with litter on landing. Did I say NOISY--you can literally hear normal conversations and foodsteps in next room....
There was nothing good about this hotel. We were extremely surprised that it was a Resency. When we tried to walk down the main stairway to the lobby, we could not see. At 9:00 PM, we had to find the light switch to turn the lights on. Most of the bulbs were out anyway. We went to the restaurant to get dinner. We were not waited on for 45 minutes. No one asked if we wanted a drink or gave us a menu. Finally a waiter came with a dish of French fries. He said we ordered them. I'm sure they were ordered by the people that got fed up and left. We know they were serving food, because we saw them walking away from the kitchen. We left and walked down the block for dinner. Then the next morning at breakfast, they seemed to be annoyed that we were even there. Good thing it was a buffet. They were too busy getting ready for a tour bus. I think that was the same problem with dinner. Oh, and when it rained the night we were there, the room leaked!
Nice staff, good location, clean and comfortable for our trip to the airport early in the morning.
Very good location if you are flying in on a short trip. The location is perfectly situated between airport and city. Public transport is really easy and the drivers are helpful. Staff was very pleasant and they allowed for an early check in (HUGE plus!!!). The hotel is super charming with a great pool and hot tub which should be open later. This was a big amenity for me so check times of operation if it's important. The rooms were nice but the wallpaper, carpet, bed, and bedding needs updating. The bedding at the least would be a cheap and easy way to make the room a lot better, but I'm a traveler who often stays at hostels and pays more than this overall great place. The bar is really nice and usually quite full with decent bar food and reasonable prices. Buffet breakfast was also a good deal. I would highly re omens this place to someone who likes a good value, great amenities and are NOT fussy about updated and pristine rooms.
Having stayed before (twice) things have gone downhill. Did not have room when I arrived, had to wait hour. Did not get room as booked. It was cold and heat was not turned on until 8PM. Window was open one day and it was really cold. Was told they would send a spaceheater up but it did not arrive until next day. Won't be staying here again.
We picked this hotel not knowing anyting about it except that it was an old building in a good location for what we wanted. The rooms were clean but the windows were in need of repair or replacing. The service to the rooms and responds to our needs was very prompt and done with curtesy. I do not see taking children there, there is nothing for them.
Good value fort he money and the Hotel bar was a real blast......
Found the staff very welcoming and allowed me to check in early after a transatlantic flight. I noticed my room had new carpeting was bright and surprisingly bigger than I expected. The location is great ten minute bus ride from Dublin Airport and the town centre, Also there are many varied restaurants and pubs you can walk to locally which is a huge plus!! I had lunch at the hotel restaurant very pricey skip it and the pub is dated could do with a makeover.
Looked a lot more upscale than it was. Hot water didn't work, blow dryer didn't work, restaurant was closed for a tour group making the bar area packed with 2 servers. Food was very average at best. Credit card machine didn't work so we charged to the room. [...] We stayed in hostels the entire trip except that night and I have to say the hostels were much nicer and better equipped than this hotel. I travel quit a bit and have never been so disappointed.
Good location, helpful staff.
they charge for everything! shuttle to the airport gets charged! local phone calls get charged! check-in early gets charged! great place to stay but be ready to pay for things that one is normally used to getting for free!
It was our first time in Ireland, and the cleanliness of the hotel added to the great experience. Also included was a pool, fitness center, sauna, and steam room!
This hotel is a great airport hotel. It was perfect for our one night stay before flying out again. It also wasn't hard to take a quick bus ride downtown to O'Connell street. The service was great, and the staff awesome. The best part was probably the full Irish breakfast in the morning. The aren't many shops, stores, or supermarkets within walking distance, and the restaurants there are a bit expensive. But all in all, it was great for what we needed... restful, quiet, clean, and nice. We didn't use the pool or fitness area; a swimming cap is necessary in the pool and if you don't have one you have to purchase it.
The lobby and public dining areas of this hotel were very nice. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The rooms however, were very run down. The plumbing was finicky. The water would get cold or stop flowing altogether when trying to take a shower. The toilet only worked when it wanted to. The heat in the room would automatically turn off during day-time hours to save hotel energy. Overall I was very unhappy with accomodations. I would never stay there again and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
