Very nice hotel! Not far from major city attractions in Dublin. In fact, we walked from the hotel to many of our planned sightseeing locations. Hotel parking was great – very secure and easy to reach behind the hotel. The staff was very nice as well as very helpful with restaurant suggestions. The room was smaller than expected but the bathroom facilities were good.
This establishment seems in two minds as to its style The building stands in a georgian terrace and the public rooms are decorated in keeping with that with comfortable, well stuffed seating.Free tea and coffee are available there, as was chocolate cake, Irish cheeses and biscuits and cordiale at the time of our visit. So tending to the boutique The breakfast room and the decoration and furniture in my bedroom however would not have been out of place in a guest house nor would have been the somewhat poor mattress and a bullet hard pillow (though when I mentioned the latter two to reception I was informed there is a rolling programme to replace these) The selection for the continental breakfast was adequate without being munificent though the quality was good. The cooked breakfast was excellent. A discount is available if one books breakfast in advance Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Because of its close proximity to the Aviva stadium it is a good place to stay for attending the rugby internationals played there.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Pembroke and were charged $70 euros for a stain on our shoes. Please note: we didn’t ‘party it up’, we merely must have stepped in poop that they didn’t clean off their sidewalk and we were charged for a ‘stain’. We are protesting on our credit card now but be weary, these guys charge you for peeing on the toilet seat, farting during ‘off hours’ and their extravagant breakfast comes courtesy of an egg and day old bread. It’s sad, because our stay in lovely Dublin was epic had it not been for the scammers at Pembroke. Visit Ireland, don’t visit Pembroke unless you have an unlimited budget and check for all stains on carpet.
I am a frequent visitor to Dublin and of all the places I have stayed in, this is the one that made me feel most welcome. It’s delightful. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are completely charming and the breakfast is delicious. It’s the perfect home from home and I'm certainly looking forward to going back!
Pembroke Townhouse is more a accommodation with charme than a stylish/fancy one. It needs here and there some refurbishment but all in all it’s a lovely place with friendly staff. Breakfast is good and if you ask for a room to the backyard (my room was 393) it’s quiet. I’d definitely come back.
Warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Convenient for town and Lansdowne Road, sorry Aviva stadium. Good local amenities, pubs and restaurants . Very comfortable. Wonderful choice of cooked breakfast. Great service.
The room had all necessary toiletries and items in the room as well as wifi - but it was very very small and the interior was dated. However their service at reception as well as their breakfast were very good. location is also good. it’s recommended to stay there over a weekend with, when you know that most of the time you will spend outdoors.
Very misleading on a multitude of levels. Did not receive a warm welcome. Rooms were antiquated, no outlets in bathrooms. Concierge’s were helpless. And Fionna was more interested in fluffing pillows than addressing guests. Location is very out of the way. Staff accuses guests of staining carpets that are already worn and tattered. Wallpaper peeling and TV full of pixels and not able to watch a show. We were in Fiona’s presence three times and she never once said hello. Fionna I have read your replies to other emails please don’t use your generic response and take accountability for your lack of actions.
We stayed one night and it was ideal as great location, great breakfast and secure parking. The room was small but clean and large comfortable bed with good bathroom. The staff were so helpful both at reception and at breakfast. Beautiful sunny breakfast room with so good food .
I guess you would describe this hotel as perhaps shabby chic but in a good way. Yes our room was a bit dated but everything worked perfectly well indeed. A room that you can open a window and heat that you can control yourself - oh joy! Bath/shower with great pressure. From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome and your comfort is of the upmost importance. We were there for the rugby game and it was fantastically located for Aviva stadium. A 20 min bracing walk into town the other direction if you don't want to wait for a bus. Great Wi-Fi in room and lounge. When you read about the free home made biscuits to help yourself to with tea/coffee you make yourself as often as you want, it's true. As was the magnificent complimentary chocolate cake and cheese and biscuits that greeted us on the first day which we had on the comfy sofas in the lounge which is like a very large cosy front room. We were out all day the second day so no idea what goodies were had on that day. The Euro 15 for breakfast is totally worth it although if you book the day before you get it for 10 and it is everything - fresh baked bread, scones, cakes, cereals, toast, porridge, full Irish, omelettes, smoked salmon are all on the menu and we had a lovely full Irish on the first morning. But the staff that really do make it. So friendly and helpful with maps, suggestions, directions, general chatting and welcome and knowledgeable about the area. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for all of the above. If you want an ultra modern setting, this is not for you. Not sure it's the type of place that large groups for hen/stag parties would choose and all the better for that, if you want peace and quiet. We will definitely be back. Loved it and was sad to leave!
