It was a lovely townhouse, close to the city centre. The room was quite spacious with antique looking furniture. It was walking distance to tourist attractions (15-20 minutes). The breakfast was quite good. I would recommend it for business trips.
We stayed two nights at the Pembroke in July. It was an easy 30-minute drive from the airport and had convenient, free parking behind the property. We walked all over Dublin, and reaching the center from the Pembroke took only about 15 minutes. The room was quiet and immaculate, with a super comfy bed and speedy, free wifi. The best parts of the hotel, however, were the service and the food. The breakfast every morning was delicious -- freshly-made, warm scones, soda bread, and other pastries and breads. And every afternoon there was a homemade cake (the Guinness chocolate cake with Baileys frosting was amazing) at reception and a cheeseboard in the sitting area across from reception. Finally, the staff were lovely and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay here again.
From the moment we arrived at the Pembroke Townhouse Hotel we were made to feel as welcome as if we were staying with friends. Lovely touches like homemade elderflower cordial at reception and a kitchenette opposite reception where you can make tea and coffee and help yourself to gorgeous home baked cookies before flopping into the comfy sofa and armchairs in the lounge area. The staff are all extremely helpful and seem happy to go beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests' comfort. We had asked for 2 rooms next to each other and got 2 rooms in their own little corridor which was lovely. The rooms are not high spec, but clean, quiet and the double beds are huge and very comfortable. Good TV too. Breakfasts are really worth including in your booking. Really the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time. Home baking with heavenly soda bread, scones and cakes, even homemade baked beans! The waiting staff were lovely and made each morning a treat. The location is perfect, as it's a 20 minute walk away from the very busy centre, so convenient, but a lovely place to begin and end a busy day of sightseeing in Dublin. And in the evening, if you want to stay close to home, a few v good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We will be back to Dublin and definitely back to the Pembroke Townhouse Hotel.
The House offers first class accomodation in a very convenient location. Excellent breakfast. Coffee facilities in the room would be a bonus, but is available in the lounge 24 hours. Staff really helpful and obliging.. secure parking off road.
Today as I write marks my eleventh day here at Pembroke Townhouse and I just say this; If you're looking for a Charming Quiet Cozy Space that feels like Home away from Home and a Hotel team that makes you feel like family, then this would hands down without a doubt be the place for you! The Breakfasts are wonderful! There's a GREAT Fitness center, Parks, great restaurants and of course Dublin's City Centre all within walking distance! A couple of things to cover though that may be of good use for you travelers if you stay here. The Hot water Kettle and Coffee maker are located by Reception- NOT in your Hotel room. I personally just walked up the street to Wiers and scored a nice light plastic Hot water water kettle at various really reasonable price. Totally worth it. Also, I happen to enjoy a firm mattress and the Matresses here are seriously firm. So if you're staying any length and needing a softer lay, I would look into an extra Topper or check with the team for options. I'm sure they can help. I also got a room in the back on the 5th floor which is mostly super quiet with the exception of occasional kids playing and landscaping. BUT! Great Sound Blocking Windows when closed and open wide and proper for Fresh air! Hope this Helps!
This was our first visit as we normally stay elsewhere in Ballsbridge. Our room was bright, spacious and clean and at the front of the building overlooking the road . Some road noise could be heard but we slept well despite having the windows open as there was no air conditioning. The sitting areas were comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities available at all times and parking was free and easy to access. We were able to walk into Dublin Centre in about fifteen minutes and Ballsbridge a few minutes away was very convenient for restaurants , pubs and the Herbert Park. There is a lift in the building to access all floors but there are steps from the street at the front door up into the Townhouse so if stairs are a difficulty arrange to enter from the rear entrance and car park.
Stayed one night and very well treated and looked after. Staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Food was all made to order. The room was lovely and dry clean. Good wifi throughout the a lovely place to stay.
The place itself was ok room really small think the bathroom was bigger. Location great 10 minutes from Aviva stadium. The parking is around the back and because my sister said she had a smallish car (Yaris)she was told to park on a certain spot. When we got round though there was a few spaces left and we parked in between two cars. However, when we got out of the car a man who worked there told my sister to park beside smelly bins. I said sure it shouldn't matter where she parks he said did the man at reception not tell you to park here (beside the bins) surely it should be a first come first serve basis my sister could barely get out of the car the space was that tight. Never again!!!!! Would not recommend.
friendly staff with coffee and teas offered free, all day, in their lounge. plus super shortbread biscuits. good bathroom with bath and comfy bed. excellent breakfast to set us up for the morning stroll around dublin's fair city.
