Hotel staff were amazing especially the front desk receptionist who makes a killer playlist for the bar area.
My friend and I stayed at The Clarence March 12-18, 2023. I wanted to book a decent hotel in the Temple Bar area for St. Patrick’s day. We were both very pleased with the hotel and the location. We were pretty busy sightseeing during the daytime, so our interaction with hotel staff was minimal, but the front desk was helpful the few times I talked to them and Ben the bartender in the lobby was great! (Hi Ben!). Our room was 210 which was in the back of the hotel. I was concerned about noise at night, but we didn’t hear much on the weeknights. Thursday and Friday nights (March 16&17) we could hear a little more partying noises coming from the street below, but again, minimal and not enough to keep us awake, or to need ear plugs. When I visit Dublin again, I will try to book the Clarence.
Great location - very accessible to vibrant Temple Bar scene. Staff was super helpful. One small item - I would have liked some check-in paperwork - maybe a pamphlet about the hotel history - or guide to the area attractions. Also the old fashioned key on leather chain was charming - but not easy to work in the keyhole. Again, these are two small items. I would strongly recommend this hotel.
Wonderful place! Extremely friendly and helpful staff!
Perfect location to enjoy Temple Bar district. Ask for penthouse.
Great location, nicely updated, pleasant staff. The rooms were hot, but could open windows to cool off.
An excellent hotel in a central location at Temple Bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. My only dislike was the shower. I was with my 74 year old mother and the tub/shower was extremely high and very narrow. Once you managed to climb in, you were showering with the shower curtain in your face
Liked that is was central to everything. Disliked that the elevator was broken and had to walk up and down 5 flights of stairs with luggage. Also staff failed to let us know that you had to book christmas dinner in advance.
We loved our stay here! Will always stay at The Clarence when we're in Dublin.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and great location very close to all the Dublin attractions.
One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. Due to no air con, they provide you with a fan. Lots of tv channels. Great water pressure and comfortable bed.
Great hotel. Centrally located, so it's close to everything.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel was central to everything in Dublin.
Room was great, noise level from a pub outside and downstairs was intolerable until 3 am.
The hotel is located near many of the attractions in Dublin. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful staff & great location! Within walking distance of most sites & entertainment.

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your review of The Clarence. I hope you could accept our apologies for any inconveniences that you may have experienced during your stay due to the lift being broken. Unfortunately as the lift stopped working over the holidays the company that provides the service could not send a technician any faster. However our concierge helped every guest with luggage and any other request. As per your comments on Christmas Dinner, the restaurant was fully booked for Christmas since November, we had a few suggestions of different places that were open and available upon request. Warm regards,
