I arrived after a very long journey with my partner and son. (My son has mobility disabilities) we checked in and where told to go to one end of the hotel to out room only to get lost, phone reception and to be told it was the other side of the hotel. This was not great as my son has trouble walking and I was carrying a lot of bags. The room was great, the food was brilliant and very well priced. And there was entertainment in the bar - bonus! The hotel was very busy but I think that’s a good thing. The pool the next morning was freezing as where the showers.
Food was amazing and breakfast, would highly recommend dinner in the hotel, The chef and the staff are a credit to the hotel, overall the hotel is very family and has a big pool, There is a park not far from the hotel that is worth a visit with kids
The room was what you’d expect for a 3 star average basic room what left me leave the 1* review was the dirt of the room and the noise the curtain in the room was badly stained think it was mold which was disgusting when I was dressing the bed in the morning the duvet kinda fell out as the duvet cover doesn’t actually tie around it and the duvet was badly stained and filthy which I found a disgrace people have the right to at least a clean duvet when staying!!! Their was a noise off our radiator all weekend like pipes rumbling bearly slept because of it and god forbid if someone in the other room was having a shower because youl hear every bit of it!! Most of the waitresses are kinda rude and don’t really talk or greet you the bar is nice shout out to Conor he was a gent and actually the only one in the bar who had ever a smile on his face wouldn’t return!!!
The food in the restaurant was the worst I’ve ever tasted , it would certainly put me off revisiting I highly recommend new menu and chief . The rooms however were clean and comfortable to stay in. I found members of staff in the hotel reception rude and unhelpful.
First room put in was dirty stained broken units electrical appliances which were hazards had to be moved .. food was excellent.. apart from two members of staff being very helpful the rest were below par arguing with myself n regards to an order which I was told couldn’t be done then a family behind us got the order we asked for and were refused .. just an all round feel of discrimination towards a young family and would not recommend . Won’t be back
Great staff. Couldnt be anymore helpful. Lovely dinner and breakfast. Waitress was so lovely. Great big family room. Kids loved the pool. Will be booking again soon! Room was spotless. Very accommodating for young kids...
We stayed in hotel for three days break and to be close to family and friends we found the Hotel to be pleasant comfortable room was spotlessly clean and warm couldn't have asked for more price was extremely good, food excellent, staff friendly and helpful will most certainly stay there again
Big room, cleaning lady was coming every day but the floor and the toilet weren't that clean. The bathroom needs a throughout cleaning. Poor breakfast , not that much choice... Staff is doing it's best for you! Bear in mind the public transport that doesn't go that often. On Sunday, bus was leaving after 2 hours. Cab from there to the city center was affordable
Wouldn't spend Christmas there again. A big let down. Especially for the cost. Had to change rooms due to safety risks as live wires were exposed by a broken lamp and also broken phone. Changed room. But was equally as bad when a bottle of cleaning product left in middle of room and we had a curious 2 year old who picked it up. Again no lamp that worked and over head light was of a clinical hue. Have to say over a dissapointed stay other than a few staff who were helpful and accommodating. Still awaiting a response from management from an email I sent including photos I took of room a week ago. Kinda says it all...
Lovely hotel, ask for motorway facing room as it is great to watch. We got a great room with two large windows. Only complaint is leisure centre changing room very small but you cope. Hotel has small shop in it selling all sorts which is great also.
