They do not clean the rooms at all , and charge €15 euro per day if you would like it cleaned. I didn’t expect everyday cleaning but at least once in my week stay

We booked this for a quick layover and knew going into it that the room would be simple and lacking amenities. However, for the price I assumed that the simple amenities the room DID have would be working, that the room would be clean, and that there would be heating. Unfortunately the room was quite unclean - there was dust all around the bed and on the skirting boards. The room was freezing when we arrived - looks like there is no central heating - though there was an air conditioner we could not keep it on at night because of asthma. The plugs beside the bed were gummed up with something and only one was usable and the shower didn’t have working sealant and didn’t close properly. The bed was very creaky and felt unstable and the room was tiny - you couldn’t even walk around the bed. I requested an extra pillow that never materialised and the hot drink machine in reception was broken. Again, I don’t mind if things are stripped back, but for £65 I would expect a clean, functional room. I would not recommend - for another 20 quid you could get a kettle, a comfortable bed, and hopefully a better standard of cleanliness.

Staff was great. Place really well maintained, simple and clean but very welcoming. We missed some privacy from the cleaning staff, whose voices and activities in other rooms could be heard from outside the room door.

This my 3rd stay - and the cleanliness and staff are first rate. The hotel's location is good for restaurants, proximity to the Museum - but there is visible privation. Of course, not fault of hotel; this is social policy failing. In addition, my shower door, however, did not close fully.
