The staff are amazing and go out there way to help. The women at checkin managed to arrange a room for us early as we arrived in Dublin at 7am and checkin is usually not until 3. Good atmosphere. There are bikes outside that you rent for 3 euros to get to the city center in 5 mins so worth going to this hotel

Reasonable Stay.

Unfortunately the hotel wasn’t quite as good as I was expecting it to be. The rooms are very small! My biggest issue is there isn’t any windows or anything for some actual ventilation. It gets extreamly stuffy & warm in the room, I’d hate to stay there in summer! To sit at the dressing table you needed to sit on the edge of a bed, the provided stool didn’t fit in the small gap. A few hangers on an open rail for clothes only option was to keep clothes in the cases. Beds seemed comfortable, yet somehow one mattress was slipping off the bed constantly. Rooms were somewhat soundproofed, but doors opening/closing sounded literally like your own was opening. People talking on corridors may as well have been in your room. Downstairs decor was lovely. Staff friendly. Strange when we went to sit & charge phones in the bistro before leaving (we asked the staff if this was possible first to be told it wasn’t a problem if ordering drinks etc) after ordering drinks we were told the sockets didn’t work?? Luggage storage was handy. Location - a good 20/30minute walk to the main areas of Dublin City centre, but plenty of pubs/food options around the neighboring streets if you don’t want to venture that far. We didn’t eat in the restaurant at the hotel. Good transport links for the buses to the airport & very reasonably priced. Possibly we’d stay again if the price was competitive to staying more central, but definitely not for people who aren’t ready to get some steps in!

Unfortunately not a great stay.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience staying at this hotel. Firstly, we were told our room was on the first floor. When I tried to use the key to open the door from the lobby to hallway with the rooms, I realised anyone could access this area and you didn’t need a key. When we went into the room I found it to be tiny and dirty for what we paid for. I don’t usually complain, but I couldn’t have slept in that room. So I went to reception and thankfully the lady at the front desk put us in an accessible room which was a bit bigger, however still had the bed up against the wall (so if you are in a couple, one of you has to crawl over your partner if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night). The water pressure in the shower was horrible, wasn’t sure I could even wash my hair but managed to. The hotel and rooms seem dirty- likely because they don’t do regular room cleans unless guests specifically request. There was no hairdryer in the room (which is fine, it happens) but when we asked for one to be brought to the room, my partner had to call twice as it took so long. By the time it arrived my hair was already dry. Worst of all though was on the first night when we were asleep and were woken at around 3am by what sounded like an old rackety washing machine in our room. There was a vent in the roof that the noise was coming from. Unsure if it was the bathroom in the room above us or not, but it was so loud that I recorded it in disbelief.

Suit room is noisy but I like the hotel

I’ve stayed at Dublin One over 10 times probably. This time I’ve stayed in their large suit a like room. While the room is large, it is facing to the main road which was quite noisy at night until late. Also their breakfast was much better when it was a la carte, now it is just a buffet.

Good place to stay, used to be better with brekkie

I’ve stayed at Dublin One probably over 10 times by now as I frequently visit Dublin for work. In the past I’ve stayed mostly in Double rooms which were good, this time I had to stay at Triple room. The room felt a bit tired. Probably needs repainting. The desk is too small to work on it, very important for business traveller. Also their breakfast in the past was much better, the a la carte one. They’ve sadly changed it to a buffet which is mediocre to be honest. Croissants are good, that’s about it.

My stay at D1 hotel

Staff were prejudicial and unfriendly, I noticed this more to BME guest. The vent in the room was loud. They agreed to switch it off after I complained, but it kept me awake throughout my stay. However, the room was clean as was the complex.

Gave our room away

We turned up to be told that our room had been given to someone else due to valentines being busy (we were there for valentines ourselves so was no excuse), despite arriving the day of our booking. We were told the lady on reception the next day would be informed in order to change us to our actual room, however she had no idea. We eventually got put in the room we had paid for, but we’re not compensated with anything at all in the slightest, instead being expected to just deal with the hotel not giving us what we paid for and to put up with their errors despite not getting what we had already paid full price for. Was a huge shame because the rest of the hotel was great and were helpful with storing our bags inbetween checkout and flight home for us in a secure room. A lack of storage in the rooms so may not be best for a week long + trip but for a weekend getaway isn’t an issue.

Nice hotel with flaws

Really comfy bed with two pillows (far too few hotels offer only one pillow) and good tv service. Great bathroom with conditioner in the shower and nice toiletries. The reason for the 3* is there was a bright light shining in the window all night, even with the blind down it kept us both awake, the heating could only be put down to 19’c and you can’t open the window, so it was unpleasantly stuffy so a crappy night of sleep.

Budget hotel with tiny rooms.

Friendly staff, but the room was tiny, also there was nowhere to sit in the room. Not even a chair at the desk. Double bed was wedged up against the wall, so awkward for two people sharing the bed.
