Reception was nice, also room of acceptable size but little noisy as close to very commercial streets around. Clean even furniture is not new. All your needs as shops restaurants and all services surround hotel. Metro of palm deira is 7 minutes walk. Price convenient to it. Main Bus stations is 5 minutes from hotel.
Friendly service .Break Fast isn’t really food just tea with light weight bread lol .But it’s in the heart of where food service are available so it will not be a problem. Nice receptionist not the old cranky man but the young tall guy .The security man looks American if you asked me but hey he was still nice till my last day out .The butler will try to play a fast one on you if you don’t understand the currency 👍
Took of over the Christmas break for A few days of rest and relaxation From the airport it a drive costing about 40 AED. Make sure you have the correct address as the hotel is not known to most cabbies. The location is on a one way street accessed Via Deira market behind the Gold souk,so it's not right inside the shopping area There is a Lebanese restaurant directly behind it and a supermarket across the road selling necessities and Wendy is a 2 minute stroll Being Nigerian there is also a Nigerian Buka 10 minutes away The rooms are cleaned regularly but take your towels along My room had an issue with the door which kept pulling out of the frame. I complained and was told the hotel is safe enough for me to keep the door open Breakfast was buffet and I was told my ration was 2 boiled eggs. The food was passable and monotonous after 3 days I found it rather pricey for a 3 star hotel. The staff claimed it was Xmas pricing. The concierge was very helpful as was the sole security guy and the cleaners It was fully booked for the period I was there with people walking in seeking reservations It's OK if one is travelling on a budget. Taxis and buses are readily available beside the hotel
Although the location of the accommodation is not too bad, in the Deira district, we wouldn't recommend this place. The reception wasn't friendly, the English spoken was hard to understand. Overall, the hotel and its rooms are a bit wornout. If you are not too demanding, it's an okay stay, but don't expect too much. The swimming pool was a deception, not inviting to swim at all and right next to the breakfast corner. The breakfast itself was quite simple. For Dubai, the price is not too high, so if you are a budgettraveler this hotel might be a decent choice, but only to get some sleep.
Small dingy bathroom floor flooded because, mould on floor, had to sit sidewards on toilet as there was no room to sit. Helloworld Forest Hill Victoria booked. Obviously they do not have any idea of their customer needs and standards. How do travel agents pick their stock of accommodation hotels , obviously with with no review. We travel very frequently and its the first time we used Helloworld. Never again Krishna
Water dripping grom the ceiling, paid (and weak) wifi, monotonous breakfasts. But it's worth it, when so cheap and close to the centre, al Fahidi Dietrich and subway. I recommend it to jak budget visitors.
The place was not well kept and staff attitude was variable. It is very clear that staff need training on how to deal with customers. The facility needs to be cleaner than it is and internet problems needs to be sorted. In fact I had to change after one night and lose what I have paid in advance.
Location wasn't bad (first when you find the place) it's actually right on the corner of Al Sabkha road and a short walking distance from Palm Deira metro station. However, pay attention for the street number; it's NOT the one mentioned here in TripAdvisor! The city has apparently changed street numbers in the area, Google Maps tells it's 28th street, but in reality you may see the street sign saying 30th street... The room was quite hideous, walls were dirty and stained, looked like there's mosquitos killed on the walls. The fridge had disgusting smell, it didn't help when the housekeeper wiped it. However, the housekeeper did his best every day (apparently the best what you can do with the given circumstances and instructions), so can't blame him. Breakfast room and breakfast room staff were also pretty unhygienic in my opinion. The blinder curtains in breakfast room had big splash stains, I really didn't want to know about their origin or how long they've been there. And staff who's working or moving inside kitchen is wearing open toe shoes! The milk for the cereals was warm every morning. And when I say warm, it means it's not hot (hot milk was in separated pot) and it's never seen cold; it's warmer than your hand. Definitely not in line with any food safety standards! Overall, I think this hotel could have lot of potential, if the management would wake up and pay serious attention for the general tidiness.
very rude staff. lack of customer services and if you are staying for a short trip then its better to pay more for a 3 star hotel. location was ok but the it seems they need to improve their customer services.
The worst place ever. First of all dirty. Most of the appliances are very old or doesn't work. Fridge was warmer than my charger. Because of broken air condition we had an extra shower in the room hall for all night. Service is rude and lazy. Staying here is very stressful and not worth any penny.
