"The Mill" is a renovated mill overlooking the river. It is modern and has all the luxuries you could want, while at the same time maintaining the historic beauty of the old mill. The brick and raw wood combined with the lovely textures of linens and stone in the bath were just phenomenal. It is warm and inviting, quiet and peaceful. The price is far less than I would expect for a place of this quality. Top notch amenities. The check in process was smooth and simple (there is no full time staff this time of year, so guests must enter via door code, etc). I highly recommend!

This is a really nice change from the cheap hotels in the area, and there is nothing else like it for many miles. There is exposed brick in the rooms, which are large and decorated in a modern industrial style. The linens are Target quality. Our room overlooked the river and dam, which is beautiful. The cafe is nice but does not have many choices for breakfast. The coffee is good but the oatmeal is instant. Be cautious of staying on a night when there is a concert in the cafe, as it is very loud upstairs. We couldn't hear ourselves talk. Would highly recommend on other nights.

The Mill Inn is great!! It's very stylish and modern and it has air conditioning! We enjoyed the complimentary snacks and in room coffee. I would have loved an in room refrigerator because we have a 16 month old (to keep whole milk cold), but we managed with a cooler. The check in and check out was very easy and I really liked that the cafe was right below for breakfast and lunch if we needed it. It's close to Sebec Lake and Peaks-Kenny State Park - so many fun activities right around the corner!

Nice inside and outside tables overlooking the Piscataquis River and falls in downtown DoverFoxcroft, Maine. Had a great panini that had plenty of fixings. Great fresh ingredients. Had nice leisurely lunch. Very clean and waitstaff was friendly and efficient. Will go again!

Kathryn and I had a great lunch in a friendly cafe with a post industrial vibe. We tried the Mill Cafe when we went to Dover Foxcroft to buy a chainsaw! The cafe is true to it's name in an old Mill building. The cafe itself is large and sunlit with high ceilings and big windows overlooking the river and the mill dam. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Mill Cuban pannini - the pork was tender. Pork may be a specialty because the special was pulled pork tacos. Kathryn had the cranberry walnut chicken salad wrap. We both had clam chowder. All in all it was a especially pleasant and delicious lunch. There is a deck for outdoor dining and they serve wine and beer.

My mom and I had lunch today after picking up our Christmas tree from the finest kind down the road. We had the soup of the day and a sandwich. It was delicious and a little different than most of the food we see in Maine! I will definitely be going back!

First time here. Newer restaurant and inn upstairs. Great sandwiches and super coffee. Had a blt panini sandwich- super! Sat outside overlooking the river- nice view of the falls. Real friendly staff and food was hot and ready quickly. Excellent taste!

My husband and I were in the Dover-Foxcroft area and discovered this great little cafe at the Mill Inn. The cafe is a wonderful lunch spot with modern light selections. The renovated mill area overlooks the Piscataquis River. We enjoyed the cranberry chicken salad and the chicken tomato pesto flatbread. Also there are tasty coffee drinks. We could only wish that the cafe had evening hours. We would definitely return.

We had a king room overlooking the road/river. The room was very spacious, new and clean. Would have liked an arm chair as the only place to sit was the bed or a metal bar stool that went with the built-in desk. Also, an exhaust fan in the bathroom - seemed like there was duct work for it but no fan. We ate breakfast one morning at the Cafe - the breakfast panini - was tasty and good-sized portion. If you stay at the Inn, you get a free mug of coffee each morning that the cafe is open (closed Mondays). Also, a small coffee maker in the room (no fridge or microwave). Had a nice outdoor seating area overlooking the river/dam. Cafe staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

This place is so cool. Old Mill converted into Inn right downtown walking distance to everything. We stayed here while white water rafting the Kennebec River. So glad we chose this small town to stay. Beautiful scenic view from the room. Inn is brand new. Exceptiallly clean industrial feel great shampoos and staff was friendly. Walk through the coffee shop to your room. I would definitely recommend this hotel and town. Great wood working store also for some Maine soveniers. You won't regret this stay!
