Not to bad a place but no elevator for those of us who has knee problems No shower curtain, no shampoo or conditioner in rooms. We came back to hotel (went to eat, and flea market) we were locked out of room. No coffee pot, but had a mirror and iron. All staff we dealt with was nice.
Absolutely worst hotel ever. Burn holes in the non smoking comforter. Carpet peeling up. Shrimp peeling and soda can outside our room. Smelled of smoke. Our son has breathing issues and we had to leave. Hotel refused ya a refund for their uncleanliness. We evacuated due to our home being severely damaged so way to knock someone down who has already lost so much. Enjoy our money. I cannot believe anyone stays here.
I called and made a reservation for hurricane evacuation. They agreed to allow my dog for an extra $15 a day. Lady dropped the dog fee to $10 a day. I gave a credit card, and told checkin is 24 hours a day. The room was ready at anytime. Reservation was for 3 nights. We drive 4 hours. I check in the following morning and they can’t find my reservation. I explain my conversation with the lady the night before. Once he knew I had a dog I was told, no dogs. I had to wait for the lady I originally spoke to; she would be back in at a minimum of 45 min. They had open rooms. Are you flipping kidding me, our home will probably be destroyed and you deny us for a well behaved dog.... Horrible experience! I got lucky and found the last room an additional hour away. I will make several formal complaints!!!
I barely got the door to the room open before turning and leaving. As I walked down the hall the carpets were filthy and the doors severely needed paint. There were roaches in the hall and as soon as I opened the room door 3 roaches ran out. The pictures on the website are Definitely deceiving. I would not recommend this place at all. We asked for a refund and moved on.
Do not stay here!!! Advertised as a 3 star hotel, not nearly such. It is an old run down building, inside and out. The photo's shown on the websites where they advertise are not accurate. I have never been in a hotel this run down. You are greeted by an overwhelming smell of smoke in the large, outdated, rundown lobby. The rugs were stained, doors and walls chipped and bathroom ceiling tiles were water damaged and coming down. I checked in then left, deciding to keep driving after 9 hours in the car vs. staying there for the night.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel because he had a doctor appointment the following morning. When I tell you we had very spacious room with a flat screen t.v, microwave, plenty sitting room, a nice bathroom with hot water and very good customer service. When we checked out the next morning a little late, no one hurt our feelings but allowed to check with the same low rate. The complimentary breakfast was nothing shy of what I needed because of the diet I am on. Thumbs up for the facility and staff. We are proud to say we will back very soon. Keep up the Good customer service. No complaints on our end.
The Executive Inn, Dotham, I will always give extra points to any hotel or motel when I see its owner-manager working hard to make the place better. It looks like the owner-manager of Executive Inn, Dotham, Alabama spends very little time sulking behind his desk. He's out in the side entry repairing a soft drink machine, or when at the desk he is dispensing towels, providing soaps. I am really impressed with this place. Built in the heyday of motels before RVs took over the travel lodging business, the entry foyer shows signs of it's former grandeur, a place for wedding receptions, proms, college dances no doubt. With a little more work I'm sure that the attention the manager gives it will be well worth it. Our room was very large, very clean, no foul smell of that "air freshener" I so detest., So someone actually cleaned the room instead of just spraying some sickly sweet perfumed chemical around. The bed was what is known as "California King Size" and comfortable. The Inn free soaps were small, but I could always ask for more. My husband tells me that the Wi-Fi here was unusually high speed. AND, important for those of us who are trying to recycle more and use less plastic the Executive Inn shampoo was packaged in minimal plastic pouches. Good for them, Good for us. Great for the environment. So bravo, Executive Inn, Dotham, Alabama. I have no complaints. Keep up the great work.
Made the mistake of staying there, The night was late and we were tired. Should have noticed the tweekers bouncing around outside room 124. (the police later raided the room around midnight.) We were given a room key and discovered several used condoms in the bathroom and semen stains in the bed. We asked for another room and were given another. While no used contraceptives were found, the bathtub was moldy and foul smelling. There was a turd in the toilet. We had words with the manager in the AM who told us to "go F*** ourselves, that it was an honor to stay in their s**t-o-tell. NEVER GO HERE. . . We called their corporate headquarters and our calls were never returned, we did however receive several coupons for a dollar off toothbrushes.. . .Good Gawd. . The worst
This place is so filthy and full of roaches, after traveling 15 hrs going away from the hurricane Irma this was the only place available and I can see why. The rooms were so dirty and with roaches everywhere, beds had mold and bathrooms weren't even clean and with towels, when we asked for towels and told them that everything was dirty they gave us "clean" towels but they weren't!! Someone came and clean the bathroom but they only throw some Clorox and that was it. When we found out that beds had mold, linens dirty and with stains and blood, we asked for a new room or a refund and the "manager" says that not refund was possible and we can leave if we wanted. We just left that place and now I will file a dispute with the credit card and we'll see what other measures to take, I don't think that place should be operating as a hotel, it is unsanitary and with no customer service whatsoever, they just want your money and that's it!! You either take it or leave it and no refund at all... stay away from this filthy place
I had a confirmed booking at the sister site in Ozark, Al but was emailed and told they did not have rooms. They referred me to call this Dothan site and although worried about the reviews and pictures of the rooms, I had no option due to Hurricane Irma. I have no words to describe the rudeness of the person at the front desk. Perhaps they are more used to hourly guests but I had intended to stay 5 days. I was given the option to either book immediately or cancel so she could give the room to other people. She would not honor the cancellation policy I had when booked. When I said I was worried about not being able to get there she said yeah you and a million other people. Her warmth and empathy (not) for a bad situation tells me I would not want to stay in that hotel anyway. You don't get what you pay for, you get less. I would recommend finding a place that actually practices hospitality management.
