It was like it was empty, the Directions to the name was not correct, The worse continental breakfast ever

The hotel is showing its age but they are working on fixing the issues. I understand that all new elevators are being installed end of February. The staff works hard and is always pleasant.

Many broken appliances, not good appearance. Will not return.

1 elevator was broken so it took forever to get to and from the room, ram out of breakfast and plates etc, no air conditioning evn when i call ed down no one came, it was very run down.

pool was dirty and freezing, hot tub was broke, 2 of the 3 elevators were broke making it really hard for you to catch one.

The hotel lobby was always dirty especially around the coffee area, dirty wrappers and spillled coffee. The room had stains on the carpet and linens, and our bathroom had toothpaste glued onto the counter. Housekeeping didn't come until after 3! During cocktail hour kids stuck their hands right into the food and put dirty plates in the clean plate pile, when we told someone we thought they might watch over, but didn't! Breakfast however was amazing Clarance made the best omlets and food was in abundance!

This hotel seems to have a lack of ongoing maintenance in many areas. To start off, the parking lot had potholes that were about a foot deep and it was crumbling in many other areas. During our stay, only one elevator was in operation of the 3 guest elevators and one service elevator. In a hotel with 9 floors, the elevators are quite essential. Only one washer and dryer were in working order in the guest laundry area, the coffee table in our room was missing a leg and the printer in the business lounge was out of order. When we mentioned the elevator issue to another guest, they said we were lucky we weren't there the day before since there hadn't been air conditioning or water in the guest rooms. On the other hand, the staff was very nice and seemed to be as frustrated with the state of the hotel as the guests. They were doing what they could to make a bad situation the best they could, and the breakfast, especially the omelets, were fantastic. Overall, I would recommend choosing another hotel over this Embassy Suites unless they get a new manager and renovations are completed.

Encountered some of the worst staff ever and both are managers (Brittany Murray and Katy Morin) very rude and unprofessional to say the least. However the food and beverage director Linus was very pleasant and made me feel welcome and important. I told him there were children literally sitting at the bar...the children bombarded the bar for almost the entire HAPPY HOUR ...the room was tight and crowded and it smelled like there was a skunk outside my window stunk up the hole room.

Holes and cracks in room wall. The pool area was very nasty and dirty. Potholes all over the parking lot. So not worth the $150 a night that I paid, but never again. I'll stick to the one in Livonia, they never let me down.

Hotel was very convenient for my trip. As a sales person covering the Detroit area, this was a convenient location to get to Wixom, Troy, Detroit, etc. without any issues and is right off of the expressway.

I stayed at this hotel because of a training seminar that was being held there.

The room in this hotel were VERY DATED! Even the linen on the beds are old! SMH! I was told that they've not replaced the linen in years by housekeeping. WOW!!! DEFINITELY would not stay here again!

Love this hotel, beds are nice and soft, rooms are always clean nice location, easy access to freeways, lots of restaurants around the hotel, movie theater across the freeway. I stay here every time I'm in Detroit

I was in town for my friend's wedding and I am very satisfied with my choice of hotel. I had the opportunity to visit several other hotels in the area that my other friends stayed at, and ours was the nicest by far. The breakfast was diverse, and the beds were super comfortable. My only complaint is that the service was kind of slow and the carpets had stains. Otherwise, I greatly enjoyed my stay!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a romantic weekend away together. We were not informed that the hotel was under major construction. We arrived and the staff was using card tables for the check-in desk. The pool area was overrun with many children and teenagers screaming and yelling. The worst part was that our room was a handicapped room. Both of us had been looking forward to soaking in a warm bath and there was no bathtub to be found. I paid the extra money for this hotel because I wanted a little opulence and pampering. There was none to be found at this establishment. We were very disappointed and nothing was done to make our stay any more enjoyable.

No mention of this upon booking. Hotel is under construction, is loud and a mess. No gift shop or sundries access. Had to leave the hotel at 10pm to get advil. Very disappointing. Supposed to be under construction for next 3mos.

Positives - Nice room, lobby, manager's social hour, great breakfast. However, one bad thing overshadowed the good. The pool was out of control, filled with screaming, rough children (many unattended), throwing things and playing with the handicapped chair. My 16-yr-old son wanted to swim but wouldn't go in the pool with those uncontrolled little kids and there was no room. There was NO security to control this. The hot tub was being used by parents as a "wading pool", with over a dozen toddlers in it-breaking the rules. At the adult swim at 10:00 the security people suddenly showed up and wouldn't let him use the pool with the adults, even after I tried to explain the situation, and there was nobody else in the pool! I will never come back because of this.

The hotel was in a perfect location and staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely a 3 star hotel

Good room at a good rate. The breakfast is superb and the free social hour cocktails is a nice touch. The new carpeting in the hallways is a great improvement, but needs to be extended to the rooms.

Hotel was a quick 2 minute drive from my meeting venue and very conveniently located to the expressway. They put on a fantastic spread for the evening reception. Rooms were huge, clean and comforatble. If ever in that area again would definately stay there again.
