"The room was significantly tight with a lack of space. The entire hotel, including the dining space, hallways, elevators, lobby, etc is extremely small and tight. The breakfast buffet was average at best and the coffee we ordered on two mornings (cafe Sua da, cafe Americano) was quite awful. One of the two elevators was down for maintenance for a significant period and they are also quite slow. Check in was a little clumsy and hard to hear and one must always eagerly describe that they are prepared to discuss the area for best shopping and dining and local tourist options. This was not done. Generally the staff is excellent, particularly the doormen, but this hotel should not be rated as a 5 star, our opinion is the hotel qualifies as a 3 star hotel. I am and shall remain confused over the high ratings and glowing reviews and assume it is from tourists with little to experience in travel. We made use of the hotel but never felt we were staying at a 5 star facility. "
