You get what you pay for. First room smelled so bad of some nasty perfume and cleaning supplies. We moved rooms the lady was nice then but was not very happy when we first checked in. The beds were hard. The tub didn’t drain. The floors were sticky. Cobwebs were hanging out in the open. We didn’t have any towels we had to ask for them and even the desk guy had to go steal from other rooms. Breakfast sucked. Only a couple options.

The breakfast selection was very disappointing compared to the previous Super 8 we stayed at.

Clean except for tables in eating area. Sticky table tops and floor.

Had a great experience here. Easy to check-in. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds. The pool was very relaxing also. Also have a great selection for breakfast!

Clean hotel, newly remodeled rooms that were comfortable. Pool did need a cleaning, we did spot some spiders in it.

The beds were extremely hard, the room smelled of cigarettes smoke but was a non-smoking room, two light bulbs were not working and the television didn't function for more than a few minutes before going to static. The complementary breakfast wasn't the best either.

We were in town for a wedding and we booked 4 rooms for family to stay in. We needed somewhere that would allow pets and had a pool. unfortunately that's where the positive ends. The evening staff was rude. There was a stack of 8 dirty mattresses stacked near the south entrance for our entire three day stay. The outdated rooms smelled of mold. The bathrooms were tiny and needed a cleaning in all the corners. If I could have given this hotel no stars I would have.

This was the worst Super 8 we have ever stayed in. The room smelled terrible when we first arrived. After turning off the AC, it was tolerable for 1 night. The bathroom was cramped and the sink tiny. There was dirt on all of the electrical outlets. A light bulb was burned out and the TV was unplugged when we arrived. Breakfast was minimal - NO waffle maker.

Do not stay here!! We've been going through Des Moines for the past 20 years and this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The beds are so old you can feel the springs when you lay down. The towels are thin and scratchy, the bedspread had a huge red stain on the underside of it. The carpets had trash on them still and were so dirty it made our feet sticky. The mirror had a huge smear on it. The linens and pillows were at least 20 years old and the sink smelled really bad. We were so disgusted we didn't eat the "continental" breakfast the next day. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get a nicer hotel. Lesson learned from this traveler!!

This hotel is beyond disgusting. Woke up in the middle of the night because of bed bug bites. Receptionist had to move me to another room. I think that says it all. But if you're not convinced by bed bugs, the room was falling apart - squeaky bed, very old furniture, fixtures weren't working properly, disgusting bathroom, and a very powerful stench. Normally, Super 8 hotels are really good and affordable. This was not. DO NOT book a room at this hotel.

Housekeeping is not a strong point. The walls were filthy. Nothing that a wiping done wouldn't fix. Carpets were nasty and the linens and bedding are probably the originals. Lingerie was left on the shelf and food under the bed. We went swimming and all along the edges of the pool was dirty nasty gunk. We won't be staying here again for that price for sure.

we were not planning on spending anytime at hotel except to sleep and workout. the fitness room did not have bike like was advertised on photo on website and one day i was not able to use because it was locked and no one to open till way past a time that worked for me. both of these factors were a disappointment. however, we really appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room and staff was very friendly and helpful. the hotel was clean, but older and to be expected for the price we paid. overall, we were ok with our visit and would return.

From arrival thru departure this was significantly subpar. When we came in to check in, the staffer at the desk was annoyed and gruff; best was when he rudely and loudly berated another employee from behind the desk (while processing our arrival) as she stood in the middle of the lobby behind us. My friend had to switch her room because when you walked inside it smelled so strongly of dog. The second room they were given had a broken shower. The towels were literally the most threadbare, sandpaper-like towels I've ever experienced. I'm no towel snob, but this was breathtaking. To dry off is to exfoliate. The pool was fine - clean, smelled fine (not too many or too few chemicals) -- but the hot tub had been emptied, with a shop vac next to it and a couple folding chairs with the pool scrubby pole serving as "do not enter" barriers. Continental breakfast was uninspiring (gas station mini-donuts, frozen waffles, dry oatmeal packets, and froot loops), and the coffee tasted like dust. In other word, as my friend said, you get what you pay for.

went to adventureland The staff was not super friendly. The cleanliness of the room was not great. The floors could have been vacuumed. The ice machine on 2nd floor was broken, the garbages needed bags in them, there was no ice bucket in the room, and the shower head is the height for someone under 5 foot.

the rooms were nice, the pool was warm

For the price this was an okay place to stay. Everything was clean, which is my biggest concern. However, the coffee maker was broken, though it still worked. Also, they did not have an iron and ironing board in the room as advertised. Overall, it was fine and the staff was friendly.
