This was a great home to gather with our family. There was plenty of room for all. The downstairs game room had something for everyone. It was a great space for quality time with family. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen to prepare our family favorites. It was nice to have use of the garage with the rainy weather. Abby & Jeff were quick to respond with information and answers to questions.

Very nice property

The house is clean and well stocked with plenty of utensils, dishes, extra towels, etc. Check in was easy.The only thing I didn’t like was the thermostat. It is locked on either A/C or heat and you cannot switch between the two. The owners control it remotely. This probably isn’t an issue in summer or winter when the weather is predictable, but it was for us due to the weather being inconsistent. The day we arrived, the thermostat was set to A/C and it was 54 degrees outside. I had to contact the owners to change it to heat. They did so, but it’s annoying not to be able to change it yourself. The next day the outside temp was warmer. Because the thermostat was locked on heat, the house was a stuffy 74 degrees. I didn’t reach out to the owners because it was supposed to be chilly again that night which would’ve required asking them to change it again. We went to our daughter's graduation that night. When we got back to the house, the thermostat was locked into the A/C position and it was chilly outside again. So I had to contact the owners to change it back to heat. I asked why they kept it locked and the response was “to prevent guests from obtaining personal information and to keep the settings from being adjusted.” We’ve stayed at many rentals and have never encountered a locked thermostat. If you’re worried about someone obtaining personal info, replace the thermostat. Guests should have control of the temp and not have to ask every time. It was annoying.

Amazing House

Wow! This house is fabulous! Very well done & attention to detail and ready to serve their guests! We had a group of 10 women stay together in this house! It was perfect with the amount of beds, bathrooms, eating and relaxing areas and we even enjoyed eating lunch on the deck! The owners were fabulous also! Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Pictures do not do this house justice! It was much more spacious than expected. Very clean and well organized. Our family enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. It was nice to be able to unload our food and such from inside the garage right into the kitchen. Overall, a very good experience! Thank you Abby and Jeff for the good communication also.

The property is spacious with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for 8 adults and 4 children. The kids have plenty of space to run. With having the kitchen table and dining room table, we had plenty of places to sit for meals and also play games. We enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. Love that they put up a Christmas tree for us to put our presents under.

Family Hood weekend

Abby & Jeff were very nice to work with. The house was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool table and darts in the basement. The backyard deck with table and chairs was nice to have. The fenced in yard was great to have for my daughter’s dog when she came to visit us. Only downfall was the central air conditioning wasn’t working on our 2nd evening so it made for an uncomfortable evening. That was not something that Jeff & Abby could control, but they did have extra fans available and asked if there was anything they could do for us. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Location & Fantastic Space

This property is in a great location. It is well-maintained and perfect for a group of friends or extended family. We especially enjoyed spending time downstairs around the pool table and bar area. Plus, the upstairs kitchen and living area were open so we could enjoy conversation while cooking and watching TV. The hosts were very responsive to questions and issues. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed while our duaghter/granddaughter played in a softball tourney. Very at home feel and space for everyone to have private stay. Renters were more than helpful with questions and check-in. The neighborhood is quiet and it was perfect access for us to Waukee, Grimes, and Des Moines. Plenty of food and convenience stores nearby. Felt right at home.

Awesome house that’s well taken care of and accommodating. Wouldn’t hurt to spray for insects and put some ant traps down by the patio door. We noticed a couple of ants the first morning but with making sure everything stayed clean, we didn’t see any on our following nights.

This house was perfect for our family gathering. We found it well-stocked with kitchenware, games, activities and gathering spaces. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely accommodated our group of eleven. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood that’s convenient and easily accessible. Hosts Abby and Jeff provided us with everything we needed to know about the property so check-in and getting settled were very easy. We certainly hope to return.
