Well maintained, comfortable newer feeling hotel but noticed dried liquid on the bathroom floor by toilet. (Can only guess what!) Wiped it up with tissue and tissue was black! That floor hasnt been mopped or cleaned in a while!! They advertised a free breakfast which consisted of a coffee machine and granola bars. Thats a bit misleading. Free decent breakfast is a major factor with me to book a hotel. Otherwise, everything good.

Was a very peaceful hotel... Was nice and cozy and wasn't very hard to find.. Overal hav a nice night

A nice enough hotel for one night on the road. Nothing special, but nothing terrible to report either. If you get the right price, you won't be disappointed.

smaller than I thought room smelled funny and I thought there would be more amenities, kind of a deserted location

Easy access. Close to restaurants and stores. Clean room and friendly staff. Recommend

Overall the room was average. Would not want to sleep on hard bed for more than one night.

I was only there 2 nights, but having a kitchenette is always a helpful amenity to have.I went grocery shopping when I arrived and was able to save money on meals while staying in town. Being close to the highway is also an added plus.

For the most part was a good room and hotel. The bed was uncomfortable was to hard for my taste. The only problem we had was we had to leave the bathroom light on the entire 2 days so that the fan would run., because the 3rd floor apparently is a smoking floor and the cigarette some would come into our room on the 1st floor all day long. Would especially be bad over night so would wake up not being able to breath in the morning when I complained they said there was nothing they could do about it being an extended stay they had to have a floor for smokers. Since we prepaid could not go to a different hotel. If this hadn't been for this problem though it was a very enjoyable experience. Just thank god i sleep with earplugs in so didn't notice the noise of the fan running all the time.

The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The kitchen was so nice with a real fridge and stove top! Very quite! My only complaint was the comfort of the bed. For someone with chronic back pain...the bed did not help.

The price on this hotel was 10.00 cheaper than Microtel in Urbandale, so we though we would try it. They got our room reservation wrong twice (put us in a single, and then a smoking, we eventually stayed in the 3rd room). The sink did not drain, and the was mold in the bathroom sink. The bedding was clean. No restaurants nearby. Sketchy patrons. No sofa sleeper. Microtel is worth the extra 10.00. We will not return.

I checked in Tues 11/13/12 very late and the lady at the counter was awesome! She really helped my check in a smooth one and helped me find a late night snack. Also, the interactions with the others such as the gentleman and lady on Wednesday morning. Just need a pack of coffee in room per night, and a exercise facility.

This hotel was a great value. I would stay there again.

I stayed at the Extended Stay DesMoines last week. The windows didnt really close (1/2" gap) so i heard all the interstate noise. The bedspread has cigarette burns There are many better choices. Avoid this place

Hotel was great for the price but there was a odor in the room like it used to be a smoking room but everything was clean and nice.

The stench of cigarettes was too strong to allow a good night sleep.

I reserved this for one of my friends. According to them, the hotel is good.

In the Des Moines Area for business for 2 nights. Was very nice to come back to a room that was beyond clean and comfortable. Travel for job approx 50% of the year and this was one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed. Staff was not the friendliest but your not there to visit them anyway

I was at first very happy that they converted our single room two double bed reservation into two rooms with King beds at the same price. But one room had a horrible smoky smell even though it said non-smoking and there was no shampoo or daily maid service. Otherwise it was good location, liked the free internet. It was noisy only because I had to keep the windows open to relieve the smell

Fantastic Stay with a phone even in the bathroom. The only downer was not enough countertop for a george formen grill. Be sure to turn off coffee maker when leaving room. Many sports channels but no scifi. The bed was fantastic, nice and firm.

I recognize this is an extended stay hotel, so I give them some credit when I give the review. I stayed one night at the hotel. I checked in late, the desk closes after 11PM and if you call no one picks up. Orbitz or the hotel didn't send me a confirmation number, and when I got there I had to page the night clerk (the lobby was locked) to help us out. The night clerk was very helpful however and deserves credit for how much energy he had at night. Still, the hotel shouldn't have lost my confirmation from Orbitz and the lobby should pick up their phone. There's no extras like lotion, shampoo etc, I guess because it's an extended stay they want you to bring your own. I was there for one night and it was the cheapest hotel I found through my iPhones app, next time I'll avoid this brand unless I'm staying longer then a night. In addition, the key cards for the doors are frustrating, the refrigerators are LOUD and keep you up, and out of this business trip (four hotels I stayed at) I think this was the worst.
