The Oxford Hotel

The staff were very accommodating when I arrived early for check in. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I liked the historical aspects of this facility but it still had modern upscale features.

Traveling for business. Hotel provided relaxing, tension-relieving oasis. Superb staff. Comfortable bed. Claw foot bathtub. Quiet -- traffic from outside muted by walls, traffic inside halls muted by thicker carpet. Beautiful furniture that was also comfortable to sit on. Lobby inviting to sit and read paper. Doormen in vests and bow ties who remember your name. Dips in the marble stairs leading out of the lobby, the marble worn down from the footsteps of over a century of footsteps.

The hotel is 1 block away from Union Station (more of a funky indoor town square) which makes it super convenient for those who fly into Denver International Airport and take the $9 train to the city. Once there, the hotel is another block from the free 16th Street Mall shuttle and, thus, Larimer Square and The Market (the cradle of civilization, IMO) . A plethora of food options, head shoppes and Coors Field round out the neighborhood. The historic Cruise Room is in the hotel itself and the staff throughout is welcoming.

Staff was super friendly and the room service was prompt and tasty

This old fashioned hotel has a great location close to Union Station in Downtown Denver. Many restaurants and shops nearby. My room was clean and comfortable. The front desk and door attendants are warm and courteous. There is a nice lobby with bourbon tasting in the evening. Good place to gather with friends or colleagues. But you might encounter some paint buckets and fumes as they undergo maintenance - and don't expect conveniences like a good desk to work at or an in-room refrigerator.

We enjoyed our stay at the Oxford Hotel! The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is close to the train station and within walking distance to many Denver attractions. Our only complaint is the amenities fee. Just add it into the hotel stay instead of making it a separate fee.

You are located in the middle of lots of destinations. Walking, bus, train, we did not have a car and relied completely on public transportation. Enjoyed 5 fun filled days of lots of sites. I ended our trip with one of the best facials from the Oxford Spa. I should have gotten a massage.

Convenient location only steps away from Union Station. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Bourbon hour provides a free pour of a local brand and happy hour provides a free taste as well -- they had sherry while we were there. Clean and comfortable rooms with unlimited bottles of water.

Everything was great about the hotel. The location, the staff, the history, the amenities (whiskey tasting, available car, old school typewriter to play with), and the rooms. Made for a great trip.

Attending a concert at the Pepsi Center the Oxford Hotel seemed to be the perfect place to stay. I was right, walking distance from the Pepsi Center. The Oxford Hotel provided a curtsey limousine to the Center, were then we walked back and were able to stop at a few clubs to try out the night life before returning to the Oxford Hotel. The Hotel was very clean and nostalgic. The staff was polite and very informative and catered to our idea of a night on the town with a nice cocktail lounge.

The Oxford is a great elegant hotel in a perfect location. Right by the newly remodeled Union Station. Friendly and helpful staff.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Oxford Hotel for his birthday this past weekend and we had a wonderful time! It was a very neat experience to stay in the oldest hotel in Denver. We also ate dinner at Mccormicks Fish House, the attached restaurant and had a very romantic, great tasting seafood dinner. The hotel room has your normal basics. The bed was very comfortable and the bath tub was HUGE which was pretty amazing! The hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of the LoDo district so it was close to fun nightlife hotspots. I enjoyed the old style décor in the room including the thick curtains with tassels. Very expensive room but the location and ambience makes it worth it. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Very nice, quiet room. Great lobby and friendly staff.

Really fantastic location and cool historic hotel. I had a problem getting a hairdryer delivered to my room - it took 3 calls to the front desk and over an hour in which I was waiting with wet hair and was then late for plans that evening. That doesn't seem like 4 star service to me.

Had a great time staying at a unique place rather than the cookie cutter syle hotels that are out there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here after a Broncos game. It was super easy to take the light rail to the game from the hotel - they even let us check in early before the game (it was an afternoon game). Larimer Square is close too so we walked to a great dinner after the game. The staff was great and the room service food was good. They have a funky old-school bar downstairs that was fun.

I tend to like boutique hotels that offer modern conveniences, personal service and unique settings. The Oxford hits all the marks. It is a perfect blend of a historic hotel with modern conveniences and exceptional service. You are greeted at the door and provided help with your luggage. Coffee is conveniently available each morning on your floor. Any time I needed help from the front desk, I received it immediately. The atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. Free internet and other amenities simply add to an already good experience. I would definitely book there again.

Very nice experience. This is a hotel dating back to about 1890, which defines some basic structural elements like room size, elevator size, etc. But remodeling has made this a very comfortable, warm and charming hotel. The customer service was among the best I've experienced. The attitude of the staff really makes the difference. Great location in the heart of downtown Denver.

It's an older hotel in downtown Denver that comes with all of the creaks and sounds that come with age.

Great Location, but expensive hotel. Was nice but not super clean as I would have expected. Very friendly staff, except for one girl. Spa is right next door! Very friendly at the spa, would definately recommened the spa to everyone! If you stay in the hotel you get 10% off spa services! The beds are very hard. My husband and I had a very hard time getting to sleep. Also you can hear everything from the street in your room. We were on the 3rd floor and still heard everything.
