I have stayed here multiple times while attending concerts at nearby Mission Street Ballroom. This was by far the worst. I booked this through Expedia as a VIP member and we were assigned easily the worst view in the entire hotel—3rd floor facing east, looking directly at the roof over the restaurants below, with nothing but the massive air handlers, AC units, and power distribution panels outside our window to look at. Just beyond, the third level of the parking garage, where public parking patrons look directly into our room.
The massive blind we used to hide this view was off its tracks, making it difficult to lower and virtually impossible to raise without great effort and teamwork by my wife and I the next morning.
At 5am there was no hot water to shower with. We were able to get it later that morning, but our friends, staying in a different room, had none even at checkout time.
The internet signal in our room was one bar. Same with their WiFi, which was virtually unuseable it was so slow.
The rooms here have a minimalist style with a concrete ceiling and floor and simple wood panels for decoration. The only chairs are plastic cheap chairs you might find in a school cafeteria. Th pillows are thin and flimsy, “down to their last four or five feathers”. There is no drawer space or enclosed closet space. The single sink bathroom has no real vanity to organize toiletries, just a single thin shelf. So make sure you understand what you are paying for by staying here.
