This place was absolutely terrible. When we arrived, the code they had given us didn't work so we had to wait an hour to get in. Then when we got inside it was clear the house was not well cared for: there was a horrible stench of mold dry rot on the outside of the house; the furniture was old, with many broken drawers; in the kitchen the main burner knob was missing and the refrigerator had a large dent in it; the sheets smelled like mildew; the broken umbrella was held together with duct tape; there were no eaves so going to the back bedrooms meant getting completely drenched; the bbq grill was missing nobs and the handle is broken; there were loose wires, very dangerous for young children, and the backyard has no drainage so it flooded terribly, we had to wade through water to get to our bedroom. Absolutely not worth over 1000 per night. When we reached out to the owners they were very rude and refused to acknowledge our concerns, saying instead that this is normal in houses by the beach.

We had a great stay. We stayed here with family and friends in Del Mar for the Breeders Cup. We cooked several meals and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the back patio area in the evenings.

Great location. Good layout for families. Backyard is great. House needs more air flow at nighttime- stuffy. Also. I rented this house when I was going to UCSD college for a year with three roommates in 1977. They’ve done a nice job of upgrading the building and completely changed the layout with updated features for bathrooms and bedrooms. Great relaxing beach house.

Great location!

Our family of 8 adults were all comfortable and had plenty of space. The house is in a great location with easy access to the beach and walking distance to Del Mar area restaurants.The only recommendation would be to improve the beach chairs, umbrella toys. Most of what is there isn’t useable. But overall a great stay and we would visit again.

Absolutely a wonderful location. The home had a nice set up and beautiful backyard.

The home was beautiful and in a perfect location, although the home is old as expected, the appliances were outdated as well. We struggled with refrigeration, dishwasher and toaster. Had a few issues with some of the electrical outlet sockets. Overall, a fantastic home and we would visit there again

House was perfect for a multi-generation family holiday. Location to beach, restaurants, shops and freeway made it easy to explore Del Mar and everything San Diego has to offer.

Fun Stay in Del Mar

This location was great. We were in town for the Breeders Cup. The beach was just steps away for our family members that wanted to spend the day on the beach and the track was a short walk for those interested in the races. The house was comfortable for everyone and we had plenty of room. We really enjoyed the private patio area. We would stay here again.

This was the perfect house for my family

The house was fabulous for my family of 7 (elderly grandparents (2), adults (3), teen (1), and 5 year-old (1)). The house looked exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very comfortable, with enough space for everyone. The kitchen was easy to cook in and there was enough space for all of us both at the kitchen table and the outside table. The courtyard was particularly nice and gave us enough space. The hosts were also very responsive when we asked questions. It was great to be close to the beach and the whole family enjoyed the stay.

Great location in Del Mar!

This house in Del Mar is a great place to stay. The courtyard is perfect for entertaining. Between my immediate family and their children, we had about 15 people for a BBQ and was perfect. It is also great that it is just a couple minutes walk to the beach at 20th street with a life guard station right there for the kids. There is no place better than Del Mar beaches for a walk in the soft sand. I highly recommend the location as the hosts are super accommodating and it was nice meeting them personally.
