Hosmer House, an historic cottage located in Deep River, is close to hiking trails and a short, 5 minute drive to both downtown Essex and Deep River, CT. Chester and other towns along the shoreline are also convenient. The property is easily accessible to the Essex Steam Train, public beaches in Old Saybrook as well as restaurants and shopping.
This charming, equestrian-themed property has been recently renovated and offers a 1-bedroom (queen bed/linens provided)/1 bath experience (with towels provided) and other amenities such as 2 electric fireplaces, a coffee bar, Wi-fi, Smart TV and outdoor patio. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, a small refrigerator and small microwave. There are window unit air conditioners in the summer. One off-street parking space is provided with the rental. It is a cozy space to relax for a getaway.
NOTE: Peter is a master craftsman and operates a woodworking school, The Nautical Arts Workshop, on the property. If you are interested in a curated stay with private woodworking instruction on a particular project, please reach out so we can coordinate.
