We spent one night here while attending the Laura Ingalls Wilder pageant in DeSmet. We were pleasantly surprised by the room. When we booked the hotel, the IHG website showed photos of a rather dated hotel. Much to our surprise, the rooms had been renovated! The one downside was the customer service at the hotel. We arrived early, but a room wasn't available. No problem there, we decided to have lunch and do some shopping and the hotel promised a phone call when our room was ready. That call never came. When we did finally check in that evening, we had to yell back into the office after standing at the desk for several minutes. The gal working really struggled with the computer, but finally figured out how to check us in. I would return, but hopefully will have better service in the future.

We've stayed at several Holiday Inn Express and are always pleased. From check in to breakfast to spa to room appearance we were again totally satisfied. I particularly appreciated the room darkening shades, the comfy beds and all the pillows. We will stay here again maybe next time it will be when our first great grandchild is born.

The rooms in this place were very clean and comfy. My group (it was an informal class reunion that we do every year) rented a conference to hang out in. The staff was very accommodating. Would have given a higher review but the hotel's location isn't very convenient to downtown due to construction.

Pretty nice place overall as the rooms are good, the bed is awesome, and the breakfast is good. But the hotel basically has no access to the south stairwell from the parking lots. Real bummer if your room is on the very south end. Other than that, okay place to stay.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The employees of this hotel take great pride in the hotel as evident by the pleasant check in staff, clean rooms and clean and stocked breakfast area. The hotel had an indoor pool with a slide with two lifeguards on duty. Several restaurants were nearby to eat.

Clerks at the front desk less than accommodating, didn't "have a key" to the milk fridge. She made sure she made a comment to her co-worker about our "crazy" request as we walked out:(. We won't be back!

We travel to Brookings to be part of the Football Festivities! This is one of our go to locations. The location is awesome and the staff is welcoming each and every time!!! The service, attention to detail is consistent and part of what makes this place top on our list. The breakfast are becomes a great place to connect with others that are in town, many times for the same reason. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to call home, you call Holiday Inn.

Clean property friendly staff. Some what aged. Breakfast not worth the effort. Unless you want to listen to every foot step above you I recommend staying on the top floor(3rd). Close to the interstate and fuel.

Can't say enough good about this place. From the minute you enter to the time you leave. Very friendly and accommodating. They really strive to make sure you are comfortable in your stay there. The rooms are always clean and in order. Prices are reasonable as well. Good breakfast selections every morning.

We were arriving at hotel very late on a Friday night, actually ended up being early Sat morning. When I called to let them know this so they didn't give our room away, the front desk lady asked if we would like a late check out.....that was very thoughtful & appreciated. My kids were thankful for the late checkout, they were able to sleep in, have breakfast(which was great but very crowded, not enough places to sit, had to go back to room to eat) & enjoy the pool. The hot tub was great, very clean & HOT!! Enjoyed the slide & pool. There were 2 lifeguards on duty & neither of them said 1 word or moved while we were in the pool area & we were the only ones in there. This was not very impressive. The hotel was very clean & well taken care of. Front desk staff was very helpful!! Will definitely stay again when in Brookings!!
