We had a confirmed reservation for an oceanfront suite. We were given, at intake, a dirty room with a non-usable balcony - the door to the balcony was actually boarded shut and the support beams were right outside the door. We complained and Brian - the manager - made things right for us - for which we were very grateful. He was a gem. The other issue was a late-night party that was going on right next door and throughout the hallway on our floor. We called the front desk twice (once at 11:30 and once again at 1 AM) and were assured both times that "...this will be taken care of..." It was not. The next morning we again spoke with Brian who assured us that hotel policy on this type of event had broken down and that he would guarantee that it would not happen again. It did not - he again was a man of his word.

Staff were nice & the beach & pools were nice. Carpet in room had many stains & mattress was wore out

The outdoor facilities are fantastic. Rooms are nice but we could hear everything going on in the room next to us. It is not ideal for light sleepers. We have stayed at this motel several times in the past and have never had the noise problem before. Perhaps it was just that room....... Beach is incredible!

Staff was a little rough around the edges. Room was very clean. Mattress was old. But my wife had a hard time breathing. She was almost choking. I took her out for fresh air and she was better. Went back to hotel wanting to request be relocated but no one was at counter. There was a delivery guy waiting there also waiting. So we went up to the room and my wife again with the same issue. I also had it but at a lesser degree.

I loved it so much that I am planning my next vacation there already. I went to bed and woke up to the best view in the city, the ocean. I had a view from all sides. This is the only place that I will stay in Daytona Beach. I definitely will recommend!

Great stay and location would stay there again. The stay was very helpful and friendly.

It needs to be updated. Carpets are gross. The furniture is old. No spa as advertised. Good location but it's obvious this hotel has not been well taken care of

Nice and pleasant stay. very relaxing. Good pools.will come back again.

We had a great time and amazing view.. Love how the provide beach towels. Also everyday they give you bottles of water.. They also help in anything you need.. It was a perfect stay and vacation.

We went to relax and that's exactly what we did. The weather was perfect, pool was great and beach was nice and clean. Away from downtown area and nice and quiet.

Lovely place with great amenities- We are return guests

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and had plenty of pillows & blankets. We had plenty of parking considering how busy Bike Week is. Overall we had a great experience.

I was so disappointed with this hotel. The coils in the bed were in my back all night. The rooms are old and smelly

Great place to stay, near everything and right on the beach. This hotel has everything you need on vacation.

Great experience except for the false fire alarm at 12:00 in the morning.

Location great. Staff very helpful and nice. 3 nice pools. free parking. Indoor pool closed. Outdoor pool furniture very old and needs to be replaced. Booked on line, thought that room have private balcony, it did not. However was able to get a room with a private balcony for a small fee.

We loved the hotel, and would easily stay there in the future.

I learned a lesson....ALWAYS ask for a private balcony & more room details. When we saw the room we were VERY disappointed. The word 'small' takes up more space than the room did and the walkway was the balcony. Desk folks were not all that help full until I asked about the newer part of the building. Was told there may be an oceanfront available with a private balcony. I took it, immediately. When I asked what the other differences were between the 2 rooms the elderly lady clerk was like 'deer in headlights'. She simply repeated it had a private balcony. Well, the room was nearly double in size with a huge bathroom. Other than that glitch and the horrid wifi everything else was really great. Oh, I was taken aback when entering the garage when I found 3 large 4x4 type pick ups in the fire lane road entry to the garage. The desk clerk simply told me it was ok and allowed because they were oversized. So I guess NO PARKING...FIRE LANE signs really do not matter.

Other than our experience with 1 hotel receptionist (issue was resolved by the manager quickly)...the trip was great. We had 2 rooms. One ocean front was wonderful private balcony. The other room 2 queens beds, balcony very narrow. Every other staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. Plenty of parking spaces. Walk to the beach. Pool clean.

My mom and I stayed here the last week of July for a work conference. Here is a quick pros and cons list: CONS: 1. The area is rough. It looks like it was probably a popular vacation spot in 1985. If you are picturing a picturesque, relaxing beach get-away, you may want to reconsider your destination. 2. The room we were first placed in looked NOTHING like the pictures online, and very different from the lovely lobby area. The kitchen was in the bathroom, we had to walk outside through 90 humidity and rusty puddles to get to our room, which, oddly, was filled with the overwhelming odor of formaldehyde. The view from our first room was the weather-worn, loud rusty air-conditioning-unit-covered roof of the lobby. 3. The beach is rather small. About 50-100 feet of red and white sand from the water to the hotel line. PROS: 1. The area is family-friendly in that prices are relatively low for a beach area, there are lots of kid-friendly shops (with giant sharks on top and very colorful, etc), and lots of restaurants and fun things to do within a short drive. The Daytona speedway is 15 min down the road, as well as a flea market, a mall, and some dinner shows. 2.After seeing our first room, we went back to the front desk to request a different room. The smell alone was enough to turn us around skittering for the elevator. The front desk staff offered two other rooms as options with an upgrade fee. We ended up taking a pent-house-like corner room. This was not 1 step up from our first room. This was ten steps up. Gorgeous full kitchenette complete with bar and bar stools, huge tub and shower, spacious room, and amazing city and ocean view. The whole back half of the room was one giant window wrapping around the side of the space. Beautiful. So, if you stay here, be sure to ask for a corner room in the new tower, and note that you would like an indoor entry. There are also ocean view rooms, which we did not see. The ocean view rooms are outside-entry (by way of outdoor walkway), and the heat/humidity can make this unpleasant - just FYI. 3. The beach is clean and pretty. There were lots of little crabs and things that made beach-walks fun. Very family-friendly. 4. The staff is fantastic. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They were great. 5. The lobby and indoor areas are beautiful, there is a restaurant on site, and several large, well-maintained pools as well as a weight room. Overall, this worked out great as a work trip. We had a beautiful view, nice room, and swimming and beach walks in the evenings. I have to be honest though- if this had been a romantic get-away with my husband, I would have chosen a different location.
