This was our first stop at this Red Roof . The room was clean and mostly up to date . Parking was good and very little road noise in the room . Would stay again. The office staff were VERY nice and helpful. Wifi worked great as did the TV and cable . The only two con's were, one of the towels in the bathroom had stains on it. And who ever installed the toilet paper holder had to have 5 foot arms. Plus choice of food close by are very limited.
11 hours on road and decided why not Red Roof for rest. We were greeted warmly and did a quick check in. Room has been recently updated and was clean and fresh. The bed was so comfortable, Towels and bath were fine. TV fine. Rate really fine. Management was helpful and amicable. 7AM up and out to Gettysburg, Pa rested and ready for more road construction. Would we stay here again - YES .
I like the cleanliness of the room. Very clean bed linens. The number of towels and washclothes in the bathroom. Enjoyed having a refrigerator. Outside view was very nice in some of the rooms I stayed in.
Booked the red roof inn for 2 nights July 27 & 28 of July After booking I checked out reviews and was concerned with what they were saying, they were not very good but we decided to take a chance as the hotel was situated where we had to be. Apparently the hotel is under new management as of a week before. The front clerk was friendly and pleasant and check in was smooth, the room was clean, neat and tidy. We had trouble with tv but owner came up and fixed right away. Located near Walmart within walking distance and Tim Hortons and restaurant bob Evans. What more can you ask. It was reasonable and for the money was a good place to stay. Checked out and was on our way. Nothing fancy but was comfortable for what we required. I wish the new owners well.
Stayed for two nights. Rooms were clean and comfortable. New management were very good and helpful. We would stay there again. Great prices and good hospitality It is very close to shopping store and restaurants.
Checked in early at motel and was given an upstairs room, they were still cleaning the others. It had an inside entryway to room and was recently remodeled. The room had a flat panel tv and also came with a refrigerator, nice touches. Adjusted room temperature and departed for my activities. Room seemed clean and had everything needed for my stay. Coffee was available in office area for guests. I had stayed in area before and this location was much nicer than the other, would stay here again.
Where do I start!! Mold in the bathroom, rotted door frame, vomit on the AC unit, bag of dog poop outside my door. And the feont desk woman was rude. I finly had to call Hotels.com to get my money back and go else where. The CSR came to my door and said "I need the keys back and you meed to leave now. I will stand here and wait for you to leave." I WILL NOT return here.
Just had the most unpleasant experience on the telephone with whoever was at the front desk ( I believe his name is Jonathan? - that's what it sounded like.) He was relentlessly rude to me. I called to extend a two bed reservation booked for Friday night to a two night stay. First of all he could not find the reservation, and was condescending in the way he asked me to spell out the last name, which he still could not find. He was raising his voice and getting frustrated with me. He was not helpful at all, did not care if I had a reserv. or not. After finding my reservation, then he informed me the only room they had for Sat. was a 1 king size bed. Okay.. I work for a company that sends out subcontractors and we would have no choice but to try to put them in that room, or otherwise give up the event and lose money for the weekend. I told him to go ahead and book the room - we could figure it out with our workers how to accommodate for all of them ( we have cots and air mattresses to send with them) , and he said "well, why don't you let them decide for themselves when they get here?" Rude and full of attitude. I explain to him that I am in charge of the reservations, yet he still wouldn't book the room. He insisted they do it themselves on Friday when they arrived. I did not trust that that a room would still be available by tomorrow and wanted it book right then. He again told me the room was only one bed and he didn't understand how they would all fit. I told him I knew that, and again he insisted "just let them do it themselves and make their own decision." I don't understand what the problem was, but he refused and refused to book it with me on the phone. I am capable of making decisions and he treated me like a clueless child; I fully understood what he was explaining to me. I Guess maybe I interrupted his midday soap opera, because he wanted me off the phone. Needless to say, I cancelled the entire reservation online after hanging up. It wasn't what he was saying, but the way he was saying it. The rudest person I've spoken to - and that's saying a lot as I make reservs. all over the place and have dealt with many many hotels. He did not care about my concerns and could not be inconvenienced to help me solve them. Strange way to treat people who you are trying to get business from. It took everything in me not to swear at him. I refuse to be disrespected by anyone. We will NEVER book through this hotel again, and will discourage others from doing so at all costs. It is not worth the hassle. To the hotel - you should not let this man interact with customers. I imagine he has lost a lot of business if he treats others the way he treated me. And to whatever your name is, man who answered the phone - Life is too short to be such a butthead. (Unfortunately trip advisor would not allow me to use a more profane word here) You should treat others with more respect.
We had a room booked for Memorial Day weekend. When we arrived after driving for over 4.5 hrs we were given a key to 'our room' as soon as we walked into the room we could tell it had not been cleaned. The sheets had been pulled up on the bed and tucked as though it was clean but the bottom sheet was not tucked and the sheets were dirty and had obviously been slept in. The bathroom was not cleaned and the towels haphazardly thrown in there. We were given another room, Again the bed was made without changing the sheets!! I pulled the cover down and there was body waste and pubic hair on the sheets!
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Our 1st room smelled of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. There were 20-25 long black hairs on the shower wall. Bathtub faucet was barely hanging onto the file. Floor had dust bunnies & there was someone else's trash in the trash can. Went to the office & explained how dirty the room was, so we moved to room # 2 which also smelled of smoke, toilet seat was barely on the toilet, dust bunnies, furniture dusty, and the bathtub faucet was barely hanging onto the tile. Woman who ran the front desk took us upstairs to room #3. Stains on the bed skirt & also stains on 2 of the 3 pillow cases. Asked for another pillow was told there weren't any. Only 1 wash cloth in the bathroom, so we had to follow her to the laundry room to get 2 clean pillow cases & 1 more washcloth. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my life!!!
