I had called to request early check-in the morning prior to my arrival due to a morning arrival time. A rep had mentioned that would be no problem. Once arrived to check in at about 10:30, the lady at the desk said, our room is not ready yet. So we decided to go across the street to the expo at Wright State University. We returned about after 1 to check-in and Andrew mentioned once again our room was not available. At that time, the manager came out and he mentioned 2 of the cleaning ladies did not show up and he was helping to clean rooms. We mentioned we'd wait in the waiting area for a room and the manager mentioned he'd have drinks and cheese for our troubles as we waited. He was very nice and attentive. I finally was able to check-in to my room. The day after, I noticed there was a roach upside down but still moving in the bathroom. I was not happy after seeing that. My check-out experience was with a guy was did not seem to be personable. He did not bother asking how my stay was. I had to wait for him to get off the phone.

I booked a room with a king bed & fridge on Floor 1 several months before our arrival date. Disappointment 1: I used the Hilton Honors App to check-in the day prior to arrival & I was surprised when the app responded that the hotel had already selected a room, which was a room with 2 queens and fridge on Floor 2. I was able to override that but the only available rooms were 2 queens & fridge on all floors. So I chose a room on Floor 1. (Yes, I understand that specific rooms were not guaranteed, but given the early reservation, I don't understand why I did not get the room originally chosen). Disappointment 2: When I arrived, the young man welcomed me as a Silver member, offered 2 bottles of water and gave me my cards for room 212 on Floor 2! I asked him why I didn't get the room I had reserved on Floor 1 & he told me that there had been a problem in that room's ceiling that day so the room was unavailable. Things happen, I guess. Disappointment 3: Upon entering the room we learned that there was no fridge! I went back to the desk and asked if he had any 2 queens rooms with a fridge and he said "no, no rooms with queen beds have refrigerators." Wow! The descriptions on the app clearly said that the queens had refrigerators! Not a happy camper. This is an old Hampton Inn. The elevator is one of the tiniest boxes I have ever seen. If you use a cart, it is a challenge to fit it in and have room for 2 people. The box spring in one of the queen beds squeaked with every toss and turn It was galling to pay almost $200 per night for a room I did not reserve and which had no refrigerator. During my shower, the water was ankle deep and took about 20 minutes to drain after I was done. However, I you are going to visit Wright-Patterson AFB and/or the National Museum of the Air Force, this hotel is convenient. That is about the only thing I can say for it. But for 3 things, I would have given this facility only 2 "stars", but the young man at the desk gave me an extra 1,000 points for the inconvenience, the complimentary macadamia/cranberry cookies were outstanding and Pat, the gal who "ran" the breakfast room was great. Regardless, we will not stay here again.

Nice accommodations, nice breakfast, good service, good location, easy check-in and check-out procedures. I would stay at this Hampton again as well as other Hampton Inns. I have always enjoyed staying at Hampton Inns.

Very close to the Air Force Museum which was great. Wonderful staff, room and breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Popcorn made fresh was a nice touch. Pool and workout facility were clean and well kept. Will be back again soon.

This Hampton isn't as big as the most other ones you usually see but it had all the amenities you would need. Check in was quick although there was only one staff member. Room, beds, and bathroom are all as expected of Hampton so it was great. One issue we had was we got woken up at 6AM for no reason when they called us with a wake up call which we never requested. It interrupted our sleep so we were unhappy about that. Also, Breakfast did not have any meat items so we were surprised by that. Overall, I would stay there again but next time I will make sure they don't bother us during our sleep time.

Room reeked of cigarette smoke and stronger in closet. Closet door blocked by chair. Bathroom floor unmopped with strange liquid residue remaining on floor. coffee cups leaked. Coffee holder missing. Joining room noise very loud from the customer in that room. Would not recommend.

Stayed one night. Hotel was dated starting with having to open the front door and juggle a suitcase at the same time (a minor point but a first impression), room was very small. Was surprised to read that it was recently renovated. Location was excellent and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

I have never written a review on a hotel before, but had to on this one. Room 103 should not be rented to the public. We were given this room, arriving late as we were traveling from 6 hours away. A/C barely worked, there was a bad, mildew-y smell my son immediately commented on upon entry, and black spots that looked like black mold on the ceiling. The beds were a nightmare: they totally caved in while sleeping, and my husband and I are not heavy. We were moved the next morning by a very nice front desk manager (Beverly, I think) who was the best part of this stay, she was very accommodating, and the room was better. None of these rooms are very updated at all, so be aware of that if you book. Loud fan in bathroom. I can't believe the high price ($134 - CRAZY) charged for these rooms, we stay all over the country in high-end touristy areas, and this is one of the highest priced Hampton Inns (for a non-updated hotel) we have ever stayed in. Will not stay here again, and honestly a night's room seems like it would have been fair compensation for the horrible night in #103.

Good quality for rooms which were very clean. Full, complimentary breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Workout room is small with only one treadmill and one elliptical. One weight-stack system but no free weights.

Stayed here for one night when visiting the Air Force Museum. Booked the hotel only a few minutes before arriving, rate was comparable to other hotels in the area. It seemed like an older hotel as far as Hampton Inns go, but everything was clean and in good condition. The room was a bit smaller than most Hamptons I stay in, but it wasn't a problem. The entire hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly and prompt in responding to a minor issue we had. There's a bar in the plaza on the corner that was good for a late night drink and bite. Only a 2-3 minute walk. Would stay again if in the area.
