Save your $67 and sleep on a bench-could be cleaner and safer. There was a fire in a room with the fire alarm meaning we evacuated to the car park. No fire Marshall’s,no safety instructions, no interest by the rude staff who left the fire scene to sort out a brawl in their bar. The rooms reminded me of what a sleazy brothel may look like. Wasn’t keen to shower in the bathroom and did find a stray hair on the bed linen. Noisy, smelly and very concerned about the chance of catching a disease. Backpackers smoking all sorts in the public areas, crusty bits in shower, one speed noisy aircon I could go on.The door privacy card was held together by a bandaid.

This hotel is connected with the hostel Melaleuca on Mitchell with a common reception at night. The pool at Melaleuca is small but nice and have a bar within 5 meters of the pool. Nice. The location is the reason to choose this hostel as the rooms are basic but good to sleep in. The staff is nice and helpful.

Jenny is the best service manager we have ever met! The hotel could not be in a better location. The service is excellent, the pools are excellent, the rooms are clean, the security is excellent, the whole place is just relaxing.

The hotel is as the name suggests - but without any! Horrible customer service and poorly cleaned rooms and very loud rattling AC unit- cockroaches in cupboards, in the bathroom and even around the bed! I booked through an online booking service - it still took three days to get my money back when the management refused to believe me about the roaches - soon changed their mind after I showed the booking site the photo's!

Located in the heart of the "tourist precinct", the Value Inn is a little tired and worn, but clean and comfortable. The rooms are incredibly small and fitting 3 people with luggage would be a bit of a challenge! The ensuite is also tiny, but perfectly adequate. The city bus terminal is a 10 minute walk away, while the shuttle bus to the airport stops right across the street. There are countless restaurants nearby, and the Thrifty rental location is on site. Very convenient! The hours are strange for reception, meaning you have to go via the backpackers next door. There is a small pool, and you can also use the ones next door at the back packers. It's perfectly fine, and at $65 it's a bargain but you're not getting 5 star luxury.

Doesn’t represent value at all (quite the contrary to the name) For $110 a night for a private room this was super unfortunate Tiny little cramped room, very noisy, even had cockroaches Would not stay again and would not recommend

This place is cheap and clean. But be aware the rooms are VERY tight. They're designed for you to go to the bathroom & then go to bed. The rooms are so small, the beds take up so much space, that it's a squeeze for two adults to walk past each other. Also - the air conditioner didn't work properly. It was still warm in the room. That said - location is excellent. Right in the middle of town.

Had 4 nights here and it was perfect for a budget traveller that wants some extra comfort and privacy. Very handy to be able to use the facilities next door (kitchen, pool and bar). Room was small but had everything we needed. Bed was very comfy and had always hot water in the shower. Fridge and air conditioning were a good thing to have as it was HOT haha. Location is perfect, right in the middle of action but we had no trouble with noise. Our room was facing the car park, which helped I bet. Would recommend and come again :)

Bathroom light didn't work, and TV also. Both repaired after requested, doesn't say much for the cleaners. Very noisey until all hours. Some warning would have been nice. Don't forget anything in your room. You will never see it again !!

Standard living for basic price - lots of noise and very little room service even clean sheets I had to ask for. Paid for. Breakfast and was given a bowl with a box of muesli in it that cost $8 a day so cancelled that for an extra night as my family were staying up the road.
