Stayed one night as part of a wedding group. Check in was fast and efficient-friendly staff. Quick elevators up to our 3rd floor room(hotel is 4 stories). Quite large w comfy bed, large bathroom w nice amenities. Big bonus was we had a patio!(just by chance I later learned-there's not many rooms with them. Lobby has neat vending/snack area where you can buy a soda, beer or even a frozen pizza. Also has breakfast bar area that I didn't use. Also has a smallish pool. Only negatives were water pressure on low side and insufficient anti-slip floor in shower(important to us older guests) Other than that a great hotel for the money. Also, there's a great steakhouse sharing the parking area!
Quick overnight stay. Arrived late and greeted by cheery and helpful desk clerk. Room was spacious, liked the comfy sofa in the room, however decor and overall feel to the room was dark. Beds were very comfortable. What prompts the three star rating is the large crack in the bathroom floor. Very noticable to fix. This does not seem like a Marriott standard. At check out, once again front desk staff sent us off with a smile. We snagged a Starbucks coffee in the lobby for $2.50 which was a nice convenience as we checked out. Overall, good hotel.
My family spent 4 days at the Courtyard Danbury recently during travel for a death in the family. The staff of the hotel is universally good. This was a stressful time for me and I was treated with compassion and understanding. In particular I would like to thank Tony and the Bistro team. They kept us fed and full of coffee. I stay in Courtyard hotels 25-30 days a year. This particular property is run very well. It is more like a high-end stay. It looks like other CY's but with a lot of effort made towards the guest.
We booked this hotel on points recently and used it as a base for touring the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site. We will definitely come back to the area to visit, as there is so much to see and do - e.g. the Walkway Over the Hudson State Park (apparently the longest, elevated pedestrian bridge in the world which spans the Hudson River). A word about the hotel - it was simply amazing. The room was huge - we had the 2 Queen bed room, with sofa bed and it was like a large suite. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were were superb. Very friendly, and they accommodated us with a late checkout when our son wasn't feeling well. Breakfast is not included in the room rate. They had an in-house restaurant, which we didn't try. There is no room safe. Two thumbs up to this excellent establishment. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a wedding in July 2017 and have to say I was really impressed. I was on an extended trip and the staff was very accommodating with our luggage and travel arrangements. The rooms were very modern and clean. The bistro sells wine (yay!) glasses and full bottles that you can bring right back up to your room (double yay!). There are two restaurants in the same plaza as the hotel. We tried the steakhouse which was open late and also super convenient and tasty. Overall a great stay, awesome staff, and some of the best customer service I've had at hotel. Would absolutely stay there again.
We love staying at this Courtyard when we travel to the Danbury area. This trip Chris, one of the Bistro employees, was so helpful making sure that we were able to get some hot coffee early one morning before the Bistro opened ... ha, we need our coffee! And we can't say enough about Mike, a Maintenance employee, who was helping us with an a/c issue we had upon arrival. It's this kind of dedication to guests that will keep us coming back to this Courtyard "again and again"!!
The Courtyard Marriott in Danbury was extremely helpful to my husband and I when it came to blocking rooms for our wedding guests. The staff at the Courtyard worked with us with all of the details in the contract and answered any questions that we had. Leading up to the wedding day when a few of our guests decided to stay last minute the staff worked with us to give them a room rate even though it was past the due date. The day before the wedding when my husband and I had arrived we noticed in the front lobby that they had set up details for our wedding guests for the shuttle service and the venue. They also had used the picture we had given to them and set it up in the front as well. I have stayed at several hotels for my friends weddings and have never seen such attention to detail done previously. It was a nice touch that all of our guests enjoyed. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Every one of our guests enjoyed their stay there. The Courtyard also has a fire pit located outside where all of us gathered around after our wedding. We were extremely impressed by the Courtyard Marriott for our guests to stay in including ourselves.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Here you will find the same features as other upgraded Courtyard hotels and some nicer than other Courtyards I have stayed at. The gym at this hotel was the nicest I have seen at any hotel of this level - 3 treadmills, an elliptical, a stationary bike, two rowing machines, a multi-use weight machine, as well as free weights, yoga equipment, and resistance bands. The king size room had lots of free space including a large desk and the most comfortable couch. The fire pit outside made for a nice environment to enjoy a post dinner drink. Also, I highly recommend the steakhouse in the same parking lot as the hotel - delicious!
Stayed here for one night and an all day meeting. Staff and service were outstanding. Facility was excellent as well, clean convenient and well maintained. Chris helped with our all day meeting and was truly exceptional. Meeting facilities and banquet services were top notch and enjoyed by all of our attendees.
Customer service is impressive for a small hotel. Chris the bartender/barista in the lobby bistro was incredibly generous, helpful and patient! The gentleman that lit the fire pit for us was also very sweet and interested in our enjoyment!
