I have been to this hotel several times for meetings and for meeting friends to plan activities and the manager Mary Kay Manchin, Vogel the front desk manager along with the other staffs has Always been accommodating, friendly and most helpful, my colleagues stays here when they come to town for our business meetings and they have been consistently professional and friendly. If you're looking for comfort and a friendly smile this is the place you would most want to stay and the meals are good too.

Due to a water leak, this year (2018) in our condo from the cold weather, my wife and I had to move into the Marriott, Residence Inn in Danbury, CT, for over a month while repairs were being made. Living in the area we checked out several different hotels and locations and found this one to be highly rated. The staff we came in contact with from, Angela & Milagros, custodial department, the front desk where Gohel, Vicky, Silvia, Lauren & Brianna and all the others are very friendly and sociable like an extended family. The staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service for their guests. If something was not working or needed to be repaired, within a few hours or less Mike or Isaiah, were able to correct the situation. We had a Cable TV issue (which was not the hotels' fault) and the General Manager Mary Kay got involved and did her best to help with the situation and to ensure our satisfaction. Since we live in the area we also found the staff to be very knowledgeable as to fun things happening in the area as well. Very close to I-84 Exit #4. Although the rooms are not the most modern they are very clean and well kept, (it feels like a mini apartment, complete with a full kitchen, living room, and bedroom (like living at home). They need to update their cable service – more channels and a better cable service (I was told this will happen in the near future) but they do offer free wi-fi. They serve every morning a nice continental breakfast thanks to Kari and the kitchen staff and in the afternoon a few days a week they have complimentary snacks or freshly made grilled food, wine, beer or cold beverages. The hotel has a small workout area and can use some more modern equipment and an indoor swimming pool which could use a heater. Pets are also allowed. They offer shuttle service to the train and major corporations in the area. Although we cannot wait to get back home this has been a very friendly and very pleasant stay. Surrounding the hotel are some very fine restaurants and the upscale Danbury Mall. You can walk to a Cheesecake Factory and several anchor stores like LL Bean, Dicks, Lord & Tailors, Macy's, and JC Penney should you want to do some shopping without traveling far. The mall is popular with kids, because of the double-decker carousel near the food court which offers youth-oriented events and activities. Next door to the hotel is a casual steakhouse called Chucks. There is also a Texas Roadhouse within a short drive or for a more elegant meal Black Angus Steakhouse. If you're looking for some good pizza or Italians restaurants there is Stanzione’s, Grassy Plain Pizzeria and Mediterranean Cuisine, Dolce’s, or Connecticut's, famous Frank Pepe's, restaurant.

Nice pet freindly hotel stayed here with our two dogs because it was close to the vetaneiry eye doctor that performed eye suregeury to one of our dogs that lost his site due to diabetes and now can see .They were extremely freindly to us treated us great when they found out why we were staying there they were able to see chance our dog before surgury and after surgury and the place was nice and neat very freindly staff even served breakfast and coffee and other drinks troughout the day would diffenitly stay again.

Over the years I've come to appreciate Marriott Hotels for their consistently high levels of comfort and cleanliness, and the Residence Inn Danbury generally lived up to that expectation. I stayed for one night. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The decor and finishes seemed a little dated in places, but they were all clean and well maintained. I used the fitness center in the basement and the treadmill worked well for me, but I'd say the fitness center and the lower level of the hotel were just a little rougher around the edges than what I'd expect from a Residence Inn. In the fitness center, the ceiling tiles looked like they needed replacement and the whole lower level seemed like it could use some ventilation improvement as it smelled musty in some places and of chlorine from the pool in others. I liked the location of the property. There's a Whole Foods and a Panera nearby which worked well for semi-healthy dining options. Free breakfast was good.

We love this property since last year that we came for the first time, they have a really nice staff the only bad thing is that we couldn’t use the hot tub because it was under repair. Thank you to two amazing girls Vicky who checked us in and also greeted us every time we passed by and Briana who we met last year and was very happy to see her again. She always has a smile and a great charisma. Keep up the great work we will be back soon.

I have stayed at this Residence Inn for many years. I have only had good experiences until this evening. I checked in late. I sat in the lobby and had sub par snacks and went to my room. I sat at the desk when not 10 minutes later, I got a call that I needed to leave ASAP as there was an emergency . I called the front desk and explained the situation , including I had not even unpacked, had not even sat on the bed. I was told she (Lauren) would have to call her general manager to see what they can do. I brought my keys up to check out , hearing the phones ringing off the hook as displaced local families were looking for a place to stay as they did not have electricity because of the storm. I told Lauren she would not have a problem selling my room 5 times over. Finally her GM called back and Mary Kay said I would have to be charged for my 5 minutes in the room. She explained that she didn't have housekeeping . I explained I sat in the lobby longer the I sat in the chair in the room, and that they were not worried about housekeeping for the chair in the lobby. I inquired why they would not want to help another local family by selling them the room I could not keep. All i got were " thats the rules." After explaining again that I didn't use the room, I was told " checked in." That is when I checked out. I was so aghast that they would not think and act outside the box under circumstances that would have helped local CT families. They were sold out. Yet, they didn't have to be. They had my room. I sincerely hope that a family who didn't need power for oxygen tanks or for a sick child was turned away because of " rules.".. I was instructed to call tomorrow or to expect a call from the GM. I am hopeful she will of the right thing. if so, I will write a follow up. For now, I am disappointed. Years ago, this would have never happened.

They have 2 washers. And 1 has been broke for weeks. And this is for a whole hotel. And the washing machines are probably at least 10 years old! They could go pick up another at a yard sale! I think for they could invest a bit more on washer and dryers. The could do stackable. Especially since you pay $2 to completely do a load of laundry. Which you usually have to wait in line... and hope you can wash your clothes.

stayed with family in a suite and found it overall very good. Staff exceptionally helpful. The road noise from the i84 highway was unfortunate but they moved us inspite of the busy schedule they had. The facilities are ok but are now a little dated and due for an update. Still very enjoyable stay and very convenient for many things.

Very close to a road that feeds a large mall + across the street from a gravel/earth products company + stick construction = a less than peaceful stay. The intent of the trip was to get away from campus for the weekend. For the $$, we could have booked two adjoining rooms at the Hilton Gardens....Oh, and the beds are terrible.
