Highly recommend this hotel. Spotless room, quiet area close to restaurants and shopping, wonderful staff. Breakfast was ok, with standard fare, although more fresh fruit options are always appreciated. Definitely would stay here again.
I stayed here on my recent business trip to Georgia. First of all, the lobby area is beautiful. Secondly, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Lastly, the room was great. It was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of AC outlets for my electronics. The walk-in shower was great with plenty of water pressure.
Great check in staff. We got their late and frazzled and this guy was a breath of fresh air. The room was clean, the beds were nice, and there was plenty of storage space, a micro and a fridge. Breakfast was quick and easy. I really can’t say enough about the staff here - clearly they have pride in their jobs and are being well managed. Great stay!
Just leaving this hotel. Stayed here twice on the way to and from Orlando. We had two suites both times. First time was just ok except the beds are very small. The second time we stayed we got ANTS bad!!!!!! Told the front desk in the morning and were barely credited anything for it! This is why I generally stay at Mariott and not Holiday Inn. Needless to say we won’t be staying here again. The credit given was insulting to say the least.
I do not recommend this place if you have kids on your travels!!!! We booked for two nights but when I arrived an discovered there is no laundry room an the pool is closed down I quickly canceled my 2nd night an went to another hotel to book with Marriott an got a room for 60 bucks cheaper!!!! Holiday inn is my go to for travel but this one still has double beds an no laundry an pool is permanently down!!! I asked for a discount an got a big 20 bucks off my rate!!! Also there was only 3 sets of towels in my room that I clearly booked for 4 people! Disappointed in this one for sure
Vent in bathroom was blocked, bathroom steamed up when showering. Reported the issue. Towel hooks by shower would be helpful. Our room did not have a tub so ask for one if you want one. Housekeeping just threw the towels in on the rack, could have paid attention to that detail. Bathroom lights needed to be cleaned. Person in a wheelchair next door-heard the beeping every time they backed up. Not the hotel’s fault but the guest sure could have been more considerate. The hotel was very attentive to that problem and promptly made an adjustment to our room rate since we were woken up during the night several times and it was very annoying. Beautiful breakfast area, great staff, food was stocked well. Clean area.
Stayed at this Holiday Inn in Dalton and was told the room would be $109 with a veteran's discount. The next day the bill had over $21 in Georgia taxes tacked on. OUTRAGEOUS!!! Gas also jumped $.30 a gallon when we crossed the state line into Georgia.
The bed was so hard I could barely walk the next morning. My hips hurt from the hard mattress. There are NO towel racks in the bathroom. It would've been nice to be able to reach a towel from the shower before stepping out. The paint was peeling on the bathroom ceiling. When will hotels learn to install bathroom exhaust vents in order to prevent peeling paint and mold?
We stayed at 3 Holiday Inn Express Motels during our trip and had a perfectly pleasant experience every time. We also stayed at their motels in Macon, GA and Mt. Vernon, IL. They are all pretty new and basically cookie cutter versions of the same thing.......that's not bad by any means, since all beds and pillows are comfy and big, TV screens are quite large, rooms were VERY clean and exceptionally quiet. This review actually applies to all 3 establishments. Staff at the check-in desk were extremely nice and helpful----plus the free breakfast was good too! We enjoyed it so much, we joined their frequent visitor program.
We stayed here because it would hold 5 people, but would have preferred just getting 2 rooms at another hotel. Way overpriced. No pool available. They didn't provide any pillows or bedding for the sleeper sofa. The breakfast was not good at all. Consider another hotel.
