Mediocre Hotel. The room needed up dating along with the bed mattres. The bed linens were well past their prime. Duvet was disusting. Shower was nice and clean. Towels and wash clothes, thin and well used. Time to be updated. Entered the breakfast area only to see a man and woman with their heads on the table, sleeping. One item missing from the assorted breads and donuts, were tongs. This meant people touching food with their bare hands. Definately not the caliber of Red Roof Inns I have stayed at in the past.
Roaches in room....... I contacted the front desk and it did not seem to surprise the person at front desk........they said the manger would contact me.......that never happened.........no apology or anything..........called back a couple of weeks later and was told I would be getting back a refund........never got a refund or even an I'm sorry.......it was like they know they have them and so what....they didn't say they would have an exterminator to get rid of them or anything..........
Good stop on the way home from Florida! They had a waffle and other stuff breakfast; was very adequate! They had juice and yogurt and plenty of options. Our room had a king bed and desk, microwave and fridge and a couple of chairs. Again, wasn’t fancy but the very large screen tv did the job for watching the evening football game after a long ride. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpeting appeared new, room smelled good and was clean!
Traveling with my daughter for a company Christmas party when we arrived at the Red Roof Inn we were greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. This was the beginning of a great stay. When we received our key to the room I was very impressed with how clean our room was the minute we walked in. It was a place I felt safe with just me and my daughter. The beds were oh soft comfortable, I had not slept that great in a long time. The hotel staff were all so polite and helpful in every way. We will stay with Red Roof again Thank you for your hospitality Red Roof Dalton GA.
Good location for a overnight stay on the way home from Florida. Very nice people at the desk, especially arriving in the middle of the night. Clean, well equipped rooms. Price average for time of year and location.
We have stayed here before without any issues. 2 adults and a medium size dog. The reservation process went fine. I’ve been a RediCard member for years. This stay wasn’t good. Bad smell in the room as if someone used a whole can of carpet fresh. Filthy stained chairs. Badly scratched walls. Dirty carpet. I would have asked for a different room but was too tired to move anything. I’m hoping this was a bad exception to the norm. We won’t stay here again
Didn't expect much from this place and didn't get much either. It's often the little things. Like the tiny coffee cups for the free breakfast -- 6 ounces? -- or the lack of any sweetener other than the pink one or the sign on the waffle station warning you not to use the syrup for anything other than waffles or Little Debbie breakfast snacks. At least the bananas were good. It wasn't bad -- but it wasn't good either. Room was barely average and a bit run down, check in was inept. They were nice, which is saying something, I guess, but then again everyone in the South nice and friendly. So many better choices available, even at the discount prices they offer. I won't be back.
We were driving home to Florida from Ohio after evacuating due to Hurricane Irma. After driving 14 hours, we hit the front end of Irma (now a tropical storm). We were exhausted and stressed and just couldn't drive any further. We pulled off the highway and parked, meaning to get a few hours of sleep before we continued driving. This didn't work as we had pets in the car who were also stressed and letting us know about it. We were worried we would be unable to find a hotel room with our pets, but we called Red Roof Inn and they gave us a room with no problem. It was after midnight and we were so relieved to get a break from the drive.I think our pets were happy to be out of the car as well. The room had a comfortable king sized bed, a microwave, a mini fridge, and a coffee maker. Everything was clean and updated. The cost of the room also included breakfast. It wasn't a spectacular breakfast, just danish and waffles and coffee, but it was ok and saved us from getting breakfast on the road. There is a grassy area in the back for dog walking. There are also a picnic table and grill, which looked a little worse for wear, but we didn't need to use them.
Cost of this room $140 during the Hurricane Irma evalucation. That is what everyone was paying. Room 127 is very run down. There is an upholstered chair is very dirty. The arms were gray from the dirt buildup.Furniture worn and chipped in places. The bathroom looked clean however there was a very bad stale urine smell around the toilet. Pillows were flat. They should just stop serving breakfast. Parking spaces unbelieveably small. If you have a SUV..you will have trouble parking. Only reason I gave it a 1 is that the coffee was ok. Stacks of old TV's under stairway..had been there a while as very dusty. There were chairs outside some of the room with ashtrays full of cigarette butts. Some of their outside lights are out. Will never stay here again and would not recommend anyone else to.
Worst smelling room in all my travels. We have a small poodle and I realize we got a pet room but no excuse for the musty smell. I don't believe the carpet had been changed since it was built! We had a 9 hour drive to get to Dalton and was so tired had we of checked the room we would have asked for our money bsck and went elsewhere
