Last minute booking - It was a dump - close to Love Field
Horrible experience sink leaks upstairs room, phones don't work, ice machine, refrigerator, stove, tv channels, I can go on but you get the picture. Room falling apart looked like it had not been updated or repaired since the 80s. To many problems to list.
When we arrived there. There were two huge puddle of standing waters that no one seem to want to remove. I very worry about my children safety and with the Zika viris from mosquitos. Then we went to our room. The first thing is the carpet is still very wet walking through it's like extremely wet sponge. Second, the furnitures were all old and scratches up. It's look like someone let their dog loose to tare up the furnitures. Third, the show is full of black mole all around the sealers and it's must have created a foul smell in the shower. Me and my kids were too afraid to use the show. But my husband give it a try and OMG his sure came out quick. You can surely see the expression on his face " No, do not use that shower!" You can see there were several areas that had waters damaged before that they didn't clean up (need fixing). Forth, bubbling up on the ceiling inside bottom floor bathroom. Surrounding the sink is full of black mole. In the bottom bathroom had a ceiling door is look very creepy. It's look like something out of a horror movie. I'm very worry every time I've to used that bathroom. In my mind I've kept thinking or hoping there better not be anything or someone coming down from that door. Fifth, the ceiling fan on the top bedroom is shaking like is going to fall on top of us. Sixth, the two phone in the rooms doesn't work. That really creeping me out. I felt like I'm in a horror movie that's there are no phone are working. THANK GOODNESS there are cellphone.
It's a low-end apartment complex turned into a hotel. If you've ever lived in a dumpy apartment complex, it should feel familiar: a few cockroaches and more than a few weird/creepy folks. However, the check-in staff did fine, and the room (two-bedroom with a full-size kitchen) gave us lots of space for the price.
The staff was nice but the room having a roach problem was disturbing.
First room smelled like a dog , dirty dog had been there a long time I was given another room which was much better The staff was very nice about giving us a second room to go to . Couch was dirty and stained , we covered with a sheet The bed was very hard We did get an extra comforter to double for my daughter to sleep on It did help her a little . The sleeper sofa was a typical sleeper sofa , as always not the best mattress but I was expecting nothing better . For the rate it was ok other than the hard king mattress . Did not see any bugs which was definitely a plus . The breakfast was good with options of hot or cold choices plus fruit and yogurts
The hotel was fine except that customer service was aweful. the a/c broke and and they did not fix it after I complained. We returned to the room aftera long day and it was so hot that we could not enter. After much fusd they gave us a ddifferent room. Location is great . Good value for the money
It was very old and not clean. We opened a towel and food dropped out. The upstairs air would never come on and we woke up dripping in sweat. It was not in a good part of town. The WiFi would never connect and when we went to front desk to use their computer it would never bring up the Internet. There was very little parking so we always had to park far away. The free breakfast was not appetizing. Very very disappointed.
Nice very comfortable and clean :) definitely a great deal, looking forward to booking here again soon
The facility is in disrepair, run down and needs a total makeover. The photos do not show the present condition.
I lined eveything about the hotel but it wasnt close to the things i needed. There was a gas station with a Mcdonadls in it but that was about it.
Stay was o.k. Wifi didnt work correctly. Room was large. Odd smell though
Strange place. It's like an old apartment complex turned into hotel rooms. I really think some people were still living in some of the units. The unit itself was nice and large with a kitchen and a great bed.
Very quiet..rooms were cozy and tucked away..Room was very clean and staff were nice and attentive.
the hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and located not far from Dallas or Arlington
If you're used to newer hotels, this place is not for you. It's good value for the money, the suites are spacious, and the staff is quite helpful. Its location about a mile from Love Field and rental cars is terrific; you can hop on I-35E a block from the hotel. But it's an older hotel in need of more than a facelift. The bathroom needed serious upgrading, but there was loads of room, nice kitchenette, comfortable bed, good TV. The exterior is just better than trashy but, again, for the price and location, you don't stay outside. Well-stocked mini-mart and the hot breakfast is typical of the mass-produced motel breakfasts. Great Note: I left my medications at the hotel, called from Austin where I was overnighting, and they had the meds waiting for me the next day before we flew out for home. That's the kind of service that solid individuals provide, even if the general manager is a tad surly.
I was booked here when the eboli virus hit mockingbird and 35 area and that is the only reason I left aside from the surrounding neighborhood had a severe lack of appeal. Great place in a badarea.
The property reminds me of an apartment complex. Being suites, I suppose it should. It is in need of some serious attention. We reserved a king bed and was given a room in the 800's. The room was smelly and dirty. They have white glove service every 5 days, but does not appear to apply to new guests at check-in. They actually have one of those things that hangs on the door explaining it. The bathroom has an attic access and there was dirty lint hanging from it. The flooring is atrocious. Hint - don't wear light colored socks or go barefoot. The bath light fixture and shower head were broken. Flooring trim was loose and out of place. Being a suite, I was under the impression that dish soap would be provided so we would could clean any dishes or pot and pan we used. It did not have the basics for cleaning. No dish rag, no soap, no towels with exception to paper towels. There was a dishwasher, but did not think it would be wise to use it to clean 2 coffee mugs and a spoon. I suppose we could have asked for them but chose not to. Who in their right mind would book a suite and want to cook while on vacation besides me? The utensils, pot, pan and dishes seemed to have been purchased at garage sales at different times as none matched. Needless to say, it felt dirty and we only made coffee during our stay. FYI Starbucks is about a block away if you are into that. On Mondays, quite a few businesses were closed and we were in the mood for pasta. Drove to Bishop Arts District, Italian restaurant closed, settled for Lockharts BBQ :) We ended up going to the grocery store and purchased stick ups for our week stay which helped. The smell was not as bad, but after a rain, not much will help except time. Housekeeping will take your trash along with the other guests trash and put it in and around the trash can outside your door. Ours was there from morning to evening. If you go to breakfast, which is served til 9 am, you will probably eat with staff members. Trash from breakfast is piled up at the pool entrance. It is difficult to distinguish the employees from the guests. I don't recall seeing any of them with name tags or similar clothing. Maybe not so important but just different than other Wyndhams. There were two women at the front desk and they were very friendly and nice. The bald guy (dog owner) not so much. There is a notice that this place is licensed to be a Wyndham property. As for the Wyndham name attachment, I think Wyndham would be embarrassed by this property. I am. Can't figure out how this was rated so high at time of booking.
This hotel was close to the airport, tidy and had a large stove and refrigerator which was nice for my family. They greeted us with a smile and free pizza in the lobby. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The only thing we did not like was that we felt we were in a "sketchy" area of town and our upstairs patio access door did not seem to close securely. The price was right, and we enjoyed ourselves in the pool.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel in a bundle with my fight and rental car. I was only in town overnight and needed something in close proximity to Dallas Love Field. The rate for the room was so low that I was suspicious, but I booked anyway given that I'd only be there for one night. Well - I was super impressed! The room was well appointed and the amenities met all of my needs. I'll be booking this hotel again and again on my return trips to Dallas!
