My room smelled like a bed pan in an old folks home. They brought air freshener, but had to change rooms. It stank, too, but not as bad. Also, hotel needs updating. However, the staff was helpful and friendly.
I stayed here with my boyfriend for my birthday weekend and it was Great. The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were very clean. The surrounding location was average but it was less than 20 mins to the mall and downtown and a good amount of other food and entertainment locations. We had a blast!!
My family was in town for a Memorial Service and everything we required was met with a smile and gracious attitude. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in everything we required. It certainly made our weekend much more pleasant being the subject of why we were there. Diane was amazing.
Had a great time I can't wait to return the people at the front desk were very friendly I had an incident and explained to them what happened and they were very understanding and ok with what happened I will return again with my family.
Older but well maintained property. Most rooms have fridge and microwave which is a nice feature. This Hampton also does a 'happy hour' with hot snacks, wine and beer, at least on weekday nights. Location is very good, right off the I35E and just north of Spur 348, a major Dallas arterial.
This property is in an area that may seem sketchy; right off of I-35, but no problem. This property is very clean and very well managed. My room was better than expected; I guess a recent re-model maybe - and very nice. Manager checked my in, gave me my room keys - internet information is printed out on the card - for HHonors members I am guessing again. I would certainly stay here again. Proximity puts you near Dallas, Irving and surrounding areas.
This hotel is not in a great neighborhood, several adult entertainment bars near by. Usual service and environment were below Hampton standards. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and the food always seemed a little fresher/better, services is usually great and the room/decor/environment are usually great, but not this place so much. Room seemed a little humid.
Stayed with family for a couple nights. Checked in Sunday and Checked out Tuesday. Staff was friendly. We wanted to play card games with the whole family but it was late so the ones whom were sleepy stayed in the rooms and the rest of us used the lobby area. It was great and we were able to combine tables. Staff came by with free waters for everyone. Breakfast was a good variety. Warm eggs and potatoe one day and sausage buscuit the next. Cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, Texas shaped waffles. Pool was closed but it's fine because it was too cold for that anyway. Overall I'd stay here again. One big plus was that they have rooms with a door in the middle so if you need to stay with a lot of kids you can ask in advance for those rooms so you can keep an eye on them. Also if you are traveling with a hitched trailer the parking lot is spacious and doesn't have bump in between car spaces so it's perfect for that.
We booked this hotel as there was nothing left in other properties due to some convention or game in town. What a let-down this hotel is. It has a feel of a very run down property with some new Hilton signs and touches stuck randomly around. Elevator has duct tape covering a grate. Floor lights on 3rd floor outside elevator is broken and hanging, Dingy carpet and dark hallway. But with bright and new looking Hilton/Hampton signs on every door. Very strange. Why spend money on these unimportant touches when other bits are broken and shabby looking? No restaurant in the hotel, and breakfast is a disappointment. Paper plates and plastic cutlery. Cereal from boxes, fruit swimming in syrup or their own juices. Nothing looked attractive. And all those plastic spoons, forks and knives being thrown away every morning - our poor planet, Hilton/Hampton Inn is not helping you! I asked about dinner options and was told there were restaurants in walking distance. OK, a Denny's and a Burger King. I wouldn't walk very far in this neighbourhood. Pretty scary. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean, comfortable bed, so not giving it a horrible, but work is seriously needed here. Will try not to be back to this property as it made me too depressed. I purposefully left very early in favour of hanging about in the airport then stay a any longer in this hotel.
I always stay at this hotel when I visit the Dallas area. Great location, newly remodeled, expanded gym and free weights, courtesy & friendly staff. Very clean rooms and each evening the Manager Special is a nice
