Gateway Hotel Dallas

Unsafe area of Dallas, bedding and room dirty, dirty sheets, toilet, bedding ripped and stained. Smelt and less than desirable people walking around the hotel. One of our rooms the toilet did not flush but flooded the bathroom, Night manager advised at 11.45 pm and still had done nothing by 2.30 am. Eating his supper was mote important. Not fixed till 9.45 the next morning, by then we were moving out.

There was hair all over thd uncleaned bathroom, a smell in the elevator and an officer in the lobby overnight due to the local element. And when I complained about not being able to use the pool they advertise, the manager became hostile and told me that if you want cheap that's what you get. Then proceeded to tell at me to leave ( as I held a 1yr old). She refused to take a complaint and screamed at the top of her lungs scaring my baby.

I have been a Guest at The Gateway Hotel Since 11/23/16 have paid thru 3/16/17{And will stay until my new home is completed}. I currently relocated to Dallas for Business. And while beginning my new projects and searching for a home to purchase. I stayed at a few extended stay Hotels. By Far the Gateway Hotel has been more centrally located {close to everything} at about half the price of most Motels with a Hotel atmosphere, The Hotel is clean and the Maid service is wonderful. The Front Desk Staff is friendly and very responsive. The parking lot is well lit with Security Officers. There is a Mexican Restaurant attached to the lobby the food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. The Hotel Owners are on site. Considering the staff and location I would give the Hotel {4} Stars It is an Older well maintained property. I am a seasoned Business traveler {for over 30 years} I would highly recommend this hotel for the Business Traveler, Definitely if you have to pay your own Travel Expenses. Gary R

Very good price .Location is the best. Our friends come to see me around Dallas area this hotel, every body took only 15 to 20 min. We enjoyed restaurant. Food was good and reasonable price. Portion is almost 2 persons. We spent good time. Hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They have flat TV micro waves, ice box, desk and office chair sofa and tea table. I enjoyed this hotel and restaurant very much.

My house sold well before my new residence was finished so here I am for the next 2 months. The price is very reasonable and the housekeeping is out of this world. You could go elsewhere and pay a lot more but why? This place is centrally located and as I stated earlier for the money it's an exceptional value. One more thing. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and when you eat at the restaurant associated with the hotel you can almost end up spending more on food than your actual lodging. All I can say is that the food and bar is so inexpensive I don't know how they make a profit and it's not bad either!! I highly recommend the Gateway Hotel for anyone and everyone.

This hotel is a step above the low-end hotels in Dallas. The room is nice, spacious and clean with very nice counters in the bathroom. However the service from the manager, Ms O, and some of the staff is pretty bad. She is rude, dishonest, and unwilling to help with typical service requests. The first problem is she has allowed the room to be viewed daily as a free for all entertainment/porn show for a list of remote viewers. They comment live as I sleep, undress, shower or am in the room. When approached about it, she flat out lies and then is accusatory. This morning she stated they are taken pictures in the room so that I can even talk to her or makes up lane excuse of open in exchange for other favors such as safety or work. Privacy is nonexistent as is the case in all of the hotels in Dallas at least below $55/night. Second problem is the sheets. The bedding for the most part is clean. There have been a couple of nights of complete misery where the sheets and bedding was sprayed with a flea biting chemical. The normal room maid does a great job at cleaning but they have allowed someone else in the room (as is the case at other hotels) to spray the sheets so you absolutely get no rest which defeats the whole point of a hotel room. Third issue is, no internet for 5 days. The first week I had a great internet connection. When approaching the manager, she had me call the tech support instead of her taking care of it herself. Fourth problem, no working phone in the room and an iron with dirty brown water oozing out to stain clothes. Safety wise, questionable characters, more of a slightly rough crowd near the front, lobby, and bar. They offer long term stay options. The other front staff woman is rude. Honestly, I do not understand bad service. If you are running a hotel and have guests you should value your customers, but what I have found in Dallas is the mentality "you are here at my hotel, regardless if you are paying, you are now my victim to abuse because you ran your credit card". Unfortunately I am used to better quality hotels and this is emergency housing. Each of these should be sued, especially for privacy breach. It is a complete disgrace that a single female cannot stay anywhere without having privacy ensured in her private room.

Nice hotel every thing was perfect house keeping was really good. as well as nice staff . i recommend everyone with family and friends.i have stayed many many hotels but this is exceptional one. so by the way this is really good hotel indeed

Housekeeping stays on top of your room they are consistent daily. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly daily. The price monthly is the best rate around. Suggest others to stay there too. The maintenance makes sure if there is a problem he is on it. He also keeps the grounds trash free. The landscape is well maintained. There is a restaurant in the building that has excellent food. Have to stop by and try

I had a emergency and needed a place for a few days. I called around from intown, to budget to a few other motels, and drove past Gateway. They had me in a nice room in like 5 minutes, plus they were way cheaper. It was a very clean room, they have a mexican dining place inside, with karaoke. Room service everyday, and front desk was very helpful. They set-up a computer i could use to go online, free coffee, TV. I will be coming back when my girlfriend goes insane again.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times. The entire staff is so nice and helpful. And the owner/manager Mrs. O is absolutely one of the best people I have ever delt with in any situation. It's because of this I will continue to return everytime I am in Dallas and need a room.
