From the accommodations to the staff -- everything was truly a 5 star experience -- had other events I attended at the Shangri-La for business & I can say I was so tickled I was at the New World Dalian. they gave me great shopping tips for fun small items to take back for colleagues, to cards to get me to & from places with taxis not speaking he language !
The New World always exceeds my expectations. It is my hotel of choice every time I stay in Dalian. The breakfast is easily the best of the major hotels in the area. The staff is always helpful and accommodating to every request.
The hotel is well located in the midst of Dalian's luxury boutiques. The hotel evokes a sense of calm and relaxation that helps to put guests at ease. We stayed in the suites at the hotel, which were huge and well appointed. The entire suite was well designed and helped to make our stay very comfortable. The fact that we got a great promotional rate only made it even better. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, with particular kudos to the team at the Residence Club Living Room on the 22nd Floor.
there was less kinds of the chinese meal on the breakfast. theres is a little inconvenient in the the charge outlet around the bed. the room was clean and bright and quiet for sleepy. it very quick for checkin and checkout.
The hotel servise is very good the room is beautiful , and the front desk is vrey good on the servise , i think i will always use here . the room have the washtoilet i like it thanks to give me the welcome fruits when I came here
Location is good. 15-20mins walk from dong gang, which has musical fountain, some view of the petrochemical plants and food. It is also a 5mins walk to zhongshan square which is very lively at night with social dances.
The executive suite I stayed is worth the money as it was spacious and with good city view.The club lounge benefits is included and the staff are all attentive and pleasant.The hotel is wonderful for both leisure and business trip.
I booked this hotel through expedia to stay from 7/16-7/31. I called expedia on 7/14 to add two breakfasts to my stay. Expedia contact the hotel reservation department manager Merry on 7/14 and Merry told the expedia representative that since I booked for a long stay, hotel would add free breakfasts to my entire stay at no charge as customer appreciation. However, when I checked in this hotel today, the hotel denied about the free breakfasts they promised to add into my reservation two days ago and they forced me to pay the full costs of breakfasts as additional charges. I called expedia to resolve this and the hotel reservation department and front desk both denied about the free breakfasts. They intentionally speak poor English and hung up multiple times on purpose so the expedia customer service representative had hard time communicate with them. Then expedia representative who speaks Chinese contact the hotel, the hotel reservation department lied to the representative saying there is no one named Marry in the department while the hotel front desk confirmed Marry is the manager of the reservation department and she is only not in today and will be back tomorrow. Since expedia kept detailed notes on all the communications and they have proof that they spoke with The hotel reservation manager Marry on 7/14 and expedia is even retrieving the recording of the phone conversation on 7/14 with the hotel to prove that hotel promised free breakfasts for my entire stay. I will count on expedia to resolve this trouble for me. I do not mind paying the costs of breakfasts but hotel should not lie to their customers. I'm only fighting this to teach the hotel to learn to keep their credibility to their customers as basic respect. The hotel also charged me unreasonably high deposits of $1,500 to make sure my payments on the breakfast even though I already paid in full for the entire stay. So disappointed and feeling disrespected and this hotel has no credibility!
Hotel staff were all very polite and helpful. The room we stayed in was fantastic and very well-furnished. We also ordered room service during our stay, and it was very prompt. Highly recommend for business trips, or family holidays.
First morning the coffee machine is broken, so no coffee, second morning I ordered coffee when I sat down, went for the breakfast buffet, I ate everything, waited and no coffee came, so I left. Third morning I ordered coffee when I came in just to save time. I I served myself again from the buffet, I ate everything, I left, went upstairs, brushed my teeth, packed, came down to the lobby, paid my bill, when back to the restaurant and was told, 'your coffee is coming soon sir, please wait!'. Maybe some improvement on service will be appreciated.
