We stayed here for 2 nights, it was a perfect was to unwind and start our holiday. The motel is small and tranquil place. The rooms are of a good size with a reasonably equipped kitchen. The pool is stunning, surrounded by trees. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The staff are very friendly & helpful. The rooms are clean & comfortable located in a beautiful setting. The pool was great, nice and refreshing & the BBQ area was excellent. The Cow Bay hotel is a short walk across the road, which was good food & beer. I would highly recommend staying @ the Daintree Rainforest Retreat

Travis is a legend, he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time while visiting Cape Tribulation. We stayed at his Retreat for 8 nights and couldn't recommend it highly enough. All photos below were taken in the common areas of the resort. Can't wait to go back :)

The DRR is a nice small motel with all you need for a night there. The big difference is the host Travis, great guy who organised a tour, happy smiling and friendly. Don't expect mobile phone service anywhere in the Daintree, WIFI very limited but that was ok with us. Fabulous to experience the area, a must do really!

As many people before I’d like to add a few warm words about this location. It’s nicely located in the middle of Daintree NP, the rooms are clean and have all you need, incl a small kitchen. Travis is an excellent host, he organized tours for me even before I’d arrived. I really felt comfortable and was sad to leave. The road to the place from the ferry is in parts narrow and a bit steep, so tourists should drive slowly (not like the locals :-)), especially as Cassowaries can be seen if lucky crossing the road. Thanks again Travis, and hopefully be able to come back.

Stayed one night at the retreat but greatly enjoyed it. We were welcomed warmly by Travis who was very helpful with giving tips for what to do in the region and book at table for us at a restaurant we wanted to dine in. Travis also gave us flashlights which we used to go for a night-walk in one of the close boardwalks which was a great opportunity to see different animals (mostly insects) and "feel" the forest at night. The place is beautiful in the middle of the rainforest with nice common areas and a small pool. Parking is close and easy and it is quite easy to find. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean and well equipped (fridge, kettle etc.). Only small downside is the WiFi which only weakly works at one of the common areas. Highly recommended for a stay in the daintree area.

Stayed here two nights at end Sept. Couldn’t have picked a better spot for exploring up to Cape Tribulation. The motel was lovely and we were well looked after by Travis. We followed all his recommendations and had a perfect 2 days there.

My husband and I needed a much earned break from our busy lives of Sydney! From the moment we arrived we instantly felt very welcome, Jennifer was super inviting and extremely helpful with all our inquires to be able to fulfill our 3 days in the Daintree forest. Jennifer's hostility and kindness we will never forget!! Now to the FOOD!! Dave!!!! Wow!! I am a fussy eater and to have locally grown produce served for breakfast and dinner was exceptional! We had dinner all 3 nights as the food was that good we did not want to be disappointed else where! Other than the amazing hospitably and the exceptional food there genuine friendliness shown though to the point where Jen had phoned a booking though to a beautiful restaurant named Sassi In port Douglas to try get us a mudcrab for a wedding anniversary dinner! We are more than grateful For our experience and hope that everyone will enjoy it as much as we did!!!! We hope we will see you one day soon!! Lots of love matt and lauren xxx

My son and I stayed one night while we enjoyed sightseeing in Cape Tribulation. We spent a very comfortable night surrounded by rainforest. The Cow Bay pub was just a short walk away for a very nice dinner (Make sure you go before 8pm)

This is an amazing place to stay in the rainforest where you are actually in the forest. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have a kitchenette to help with cooking and making your own breakfast. What we found most impressive was the information we were given when we were checking in - the lady on reception gave us excellent advice on what we should do and when and really went the extra mile. I would highly recommend staying here.
