The house was just as expected from the photos - updated and clean. We arrived five days before Christmas, and we were happily surprised to find a Christmas tree set up. It helped to make our little getaway even more special. Great property!

Great location to explore and visit wineries We enjoyed the fenced yard so our dog could explore. Only negative is traffic noise in the morning but it was bearable.

My husband and I spent our 30th anniversary weekend in Dahlonega. This house was perfect! We loved the backyard area, the hot tub, and the beautiful views inside the home. Excellent location! You are close to everything but feel like a world away. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, but disappointed

The home is in a beautiful, peaceful location that is convenient to downtown. We arrived at 10 pm to a very musty smelling patio area. The smell was present inside the house, but not nearly as noticeable. The cleanliness of the house was less than desirable- cobwebs on the walls and windows and dog fur on the furniture and beds. The sheets appeared clean, however there was dog fur on them as well. I am VERY picky about the cleanliness of a home and my expectations are high, however this rental was not one that impressed me at all. Overall- mediocre at best.

Great house!

Overall A Good Experience

We enjoyed the privacy and especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. We had some issues with the indoor gas fireplace but eventually figured it out. On the second night, we moved into the guest bedroom because there were no blinds in the master. When the sun arose, it was impossible to sleep any longer. The bathroom mirrors would be fine for shaving etc, if you are 4 feet tall. LOL The spa is large, and so is the cover. To lift the cover back onto the spa, you will need to be a weight-lifter or two fairly sturdy individuals. The pluses far outweighed the minuses.

Fall Getaway

Location is peaceful, but close to town. Lots of shopping nearby and fun restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable bed. Fenced in yard for the dogs is a big plus!

Lovely Christmas Getaway

The house was just as comfortable and beautiful as it looks - and very convenient to all of the Christmas festivities downtown. It was such a peaceful and lovely place to be. The host anticipated all of our needs and was timely and communicative. It was just as home stays should be, and we’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Wedding Anniversary

We had a wonderful time at the Designer Getaway. The house was in great shape and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace where we could just hang out with a glass of wine, the hot tub and the fenced yard for our pup. It is very convenient to Dahlonega, the wine tastings and the beautiful parks for walking. We definitely want to come back soon.

Great short stay!

This home was perfect for our short weekend visit to Dahlonega. Close to town made it a perfect spot for a short visit with my daughter and her 2 young children. We could hike, visit the gold mine, shop and grab dinner and still have a quiet, lovely and beautifully decorated place to spend the evening. The home was cozy and clean and even had coffee pods for our morning coffee! Thank you for thinking of the little things. We enjoyed it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Perfect getaway in the the most beautiful part of the state

This property is neatly tucked away giving you a feeling of being almost completely isolated, but only 4 mins away from downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in what we consider the most beautiful scenery in all of Georgia.
