We 2 senior citizens stayed in the hotel in a twin bedded room , a few days in September 2017. The hotel is very good, may be little expensive, but if you want sometimes, just to enjoy an hotel that is the place The room and bathroom were large, clean , well- furnished and aquipted and well maintained. Nice view from the upper floors. The breakfast buffet was good, and the front desk helpful, We liked that place.

Very nice hotel with great views of the mountain sides. Picture perfect views to wake up to just looking out of the window. The staff is wonderful as well. Also, they supply you with toothbrushes at the front desk. Just grab one as you walk by! There are taxi stands on both sides of the street and a underground walkway to go across the street. it leads right into a underground mall where you can shop or eat. A Burger King and KFC is across the street as well. A little 24 hour store is on the backside of the hotel. A wonderful location easily accessible to the train station. It has all of the amenities!

The hotel is good located in the city. The room quality is really average that it is similar to 3-stars hotel generally speaking. The facilities are a bit old when compared to other Novotel Hotels in the world. The service of front desk is great and all of the staffs are able to speak fluent English. There are lots of US soldiers living in this hotel during my visit but all of them are polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast is really not in good standard as the choices of foods are too limited!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel doesn't have interconnecting rooms but they gave us a discount on the room for the kids and put us across the hall which was fine for us. The room was pretty standard, good size with a decent, clean bathroom and free wifi. For our room rate, they told us we weren't able to access the pool/gym facilities, a bit odd but that's fine. We didn't need to eat at the hotel- the location was great with plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries nearby. Overall a decent stay, but I had low expectations coming to Daegu after a previous stay many years ago. Would I go back? If this is the "best" hotel in Daegu, it's a fine option, but it certainly doesn't match up to other 5* hotel standards, more like 3-4*.

It is very hard to think of any solid and positive things about the hotel. The only positive I would say could be its location. It is connected to the underground Primall and gives you the easy access to Dongseong-ro. I don't know how they judged the hotels in Daegu but I heard that Novotel is the best hotel there. Because of that, I had high expectations about this so-called 5-star hotel and did not mind paying top dollars. I agree with other reviewers that the room is spacious. However, it was not comfortable at all. The room was always hot and the AC sucked and I woke up many times at night because I was sweating and I needed water. It was so bad because after a long day at work and I could not chill and relax in my room. The bathroom was stinky and I didn't know what it was. It could be the pipes or the sewage system but seriously they need to fix it. The amenities were almost always at the limit. I laughed out loud when I realized that the alarm clock was bolted onto the dresser and the hangers were not removable (see pictures). The hallway was dark and creepy. And the elevator, I was like it was so eighties. The key reader did not respond well or responded slowly. During my stay, there were times that the gym was closed early (I know right) without a reason and the swimming pool (it is just small) was closed for maintenance (no notes left in the room to let guest know about it). I also heard that some hotel guests were not allowed to go to the pool because of their room rates paid. The hotel staff members were not friendly which could be because of their low standards of English. As for their breakfast, SIGH a big time, I was horrified. I saw flies hovering over the food. The fruits were either from cans or not fresh. The yogurt was not cold. I went to their 'omelette station' to get an egg white omelette (for medical reasons) and in return I got a death stare from the young female chef who didn't give me any response after my request. I did not dare to leave because I was not sure if she would do anything to my omelette (on a side note, I heard that somebody ordered an omelette and the male chef told him to pay up because it was something extra). After she was done, she slammed the plate onto the island so hard and it was just unbelievable. I didn't touch the bread either because of the way they handled them. One last thing, the breakfast closes at 0930 (I know right, unheard of in Asia). One time, while I was finishing off my fruit and coffee, the waiter came and told me that they needed to mop the floor now (about 10 minutes after the breakfast closed). When checking in, I also overheard that they require extra fees for any additional guests staying and having breakfast with the person who reserved the room, which is something unheard of in Asia. To my understanding, most of the rooms (and their rates) in Asia allow up to 3 people occupancy (I mean young kids cannot stay by themselves right).

Nice hotel and staff very courteous and accommodating. Booked for 30 days and I am happy with room and services. WiFi is very fast and strong signal throughout the hotel. Housekeeping does a great job.

The room was large with a writing table and a day bed. The location is great. Next to shopping area, 10 minutes walk through the underground mall to Jugongno Via exit 19 and is convenient to number 3 Stop on the Daegu Bus Circuit. You get a 20% discount for staying in a hotel. The windows were double glazed so the street noise was limited and the bed was comfortable and not too hard. The reception staff was helpful with good command of English. Standard room guest do not have access the pool.

Was very impressed with this hotel. Everything is modern, clean and efficient. The room was spacious and comfortable with great views of the city. All the facilities were excellent - very good breakfast in a modern restaurant, very well-equipped and large gym and a good sauna/bath. The location is excellent too very close to the city centre.

First of all, to be fair to the hotel , the location and facility of the hotel are decent or comparable to other hotels in this price range. Breakfast is okay but I would not recommend it if you have to pay for it. What make this the worst experience I had is that I was charged for using razor and tooth brush placed in the hotel room mini bar area. The price list on the mini bar only shows food item only , so I thought the razor and toothbrush are complementary. During check out, i was charged 15000 for it... the staff explained the price list is in the drawer. From the staff's response, I get the feeling that this happens regularly and there's standard answer/response to this already. The 15,000 won is not a big issue, but this makes my two night stand here the worst business travel experience I had.

Make sure when you check-in that you specify whether you need a smoking or non-smoking room because the smoking rooms are on an entire smoking floor and just walking off the elevator onto my floor smelled like a chimney (at least a few of the days out of the 19 I was there). The towels smelled musty on most days, good selection on tv, great wifi, leave yourself time when getting ready in case the elevators get bogged down, great gym, didn't use the pool but I should have because it looked awesome, but my major complaint was that the whole time I was there (again, 19 nights), my comforter and sheets were not changed at all (a stain [easily removable after a wash] on both was present the entire time. Yes, I could have asked them to change the bed and they would have gladly done so, but the fact that this wasn't automatic after a week (or at least 2) is telling. I don't think the room was vacuumed at all throughout my stay, either.
