The living room was charming with an outdoor motif and the dining room had large windows with magnificent views.
This property’s location is gorgeous. The lodge is older and the rooms a bit small but we spent more time outside than in the room. The bathroom is small and appeared fairly clean. The bathroom is older but workable. We ate dinner at the restaurant. Food was very good although service was a bit slow. I think they just don’t have enough employees. Will definitely stay here again. We could see the lake from our window.
we had a cabin with a great view. loved the location!
The place is okay but need some attention to the details & TLC. Do not book a balcony and expect a view. Large pine trees with in a arms reach of the balcony block any chance of a view Room was DARK - lighting was little help. Carpet in the room was torn Food was good but the restaurant and "bar" closes at 8pm. I know it is a State Park; keep it natural and pristine. But cut (trim) some trees! The patio area is practically in a forest when it could have amazing views of the lake and rock faces.
We stayed in one of the cabins. The setting was beautiful, quite and picturesque. The cabin was clean, comfortable and welcoming at the end of a day of touring. We walked to Sylvan lake at sunset and it was spectacular. I would highly recommend the Sylvan Lake Resort!
The staff was courteous and efficient. Unfortunately the room was filthy. There were dead flies everywhere. The carpet was stained and smelly. The balcony door wouldn’t lock and the air conditioner was unbelievably loud. The hotel is in a beautiful location but it is not well cared for.
