Basic no frills accommodations. No management on site at night. Minimal treatment of icy walkways. Walls are very thin and any noises from neighbors clearly heard.
Traveled to Garrett County for work. This hotel was the most expensive I've stayed in while trying to find a semi-permanent home. It was truly pathetic. Wouldn't be surprised if I brought home bedbugs...the worst was the filthy HVAC unit puttering out lukewarm air on a very cold and snowy night. Activated my allergies and I was miserable.
Staff was very friendly and rooms super comfy. Will definitely return!
Nice room, very convenient location, eateries close by and waterfalls/wooded trails that make for a great outdoor experience. It is a pet friendly place, but please don't leave your pet penned up in the room when you go out for the day (i.e., don't use it as a kennel). Barking dogs create noise, not to mention stresses out your pet. Only some of their rooms allow pets so you can ask for a room not adjacent to a pet room. We had to ask the front desk to contact the owner on one side of us because he left his dog in the room for hours and it was barking a lot. Staff was responsive, apologetic and adjusted our rate for the inconvenience so we were pleased . We'll go back because the room was very nice, staff friendly and so easy to get to where we wanted in the area. Prices reasonable for a vacation region.
