The property is beautiful and has so much to explore. The house is in pristine condition and was spacious enough for our family and friends who came. The host was very welcoming with nice little touches that made us feel at home.

Perfect Location, Comfort, Convenience, Relaxation

Great place to relax, beds are comfortable. Smart TVs in the rooms. We were allowed complete access to all of the property which includes ponds, a river stream, and areas around the property to sit and enjoy the scenery. Couches and chairs are also very comfortable. Soaps, lotions and other commodities are available for use. Its almost like the owners prepared for us to forget things. Fishing on the property was also fun. Overall, we completely enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Setting

The purpose of our trip was to attend a wedding. The Sleepy Lagoon became the main event, rather than the wedding. We were close to the Global Wildlife Center, which our 3 year-old loved. We had a family nature day fishing and wading in the creek. This VRBO provided all the comforts of home. I highly recommend staying at the Sleepy Lagoon!

Covington, LA Getaway

We arrived Sunday afternoon and left Friday morning. Check-in and check-out were simple, hassle free. The kitchen was well stocked.The grounds were amazing! Went for a few walks to the river as well as around the lagoon. We enjoyed a campfire one evening. The house itself was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of places to get a bite to eat, local eateries as well as the usual chain places within a 15 minute drive. For a great cup of coffee or beans to grind in the coffee grinder I recommend Haven in Covington. I would also recommend Fontainebleau State Park which is about 25 minutes away. We drove to New Orleans to visit the WW II Museum and the French Quarter. There are plenty of other things to do in the area. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds though.Time to just hang out around the property.

Slice of Paradise!

Absolutely loved this property! Exactly as described. House was very clean and comfortable. Our boys truly enjoyed fishing in the ponds in the property which were very well stocked and maintained.

Couples trip

We did a couples trip and I tell you everyone approved this 10 out of 10 stay.This place made our stay feel like home. Our 2nd day we had all our reservations cancel due to a unexpected storm and this cottage provided enough space to play games (that's already provided) we were able to cook and clean with out extra store runs. Everything mentioned in the description was just as it says. The host greeted us with detailed instructions that I read out loud to my party 30 minutes before arrival and they felt welcomed before the arrival. The level of hospitality is unmatched. The community was very welcoming as well. No complaints !

Relaxing and comfortable!

The place was cozy and relaxing in all ways. We especially thought the beds were super comfortable. Our most favorite part was being able to walk around the property to the little ponds and the beautiful, quiet creek. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Amazing Rental

Stacey was an amazing hostess. Everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was there. Between the makeup wipes, the throw blankets, and the toiletries, everything was at our disposal. Easy access not only to the host but to the property. Stacey provided prompt responses to my questions and the property was awesome to walk. Overall, a great stay with a great hostess.

Better than a hotel Stay

Retirement surprise party for a vice president and her family. All other hotels were booked. I reached out to Stacey and the rest is history! The property was amazing and way better in price than two hotel rooms. I have this host and property in my back pocket from now on.

Sleepy Lagoon visit October 2023

The sleepy Lagoon cottage was exactly as advertised. It was charming on beautiful grounds and the host Stacey could not have been nicer. The house was furnished with everything you could want, including pantry items, spices, paper products, laundry, etc.

Very quaint & relaxing

My husband and I had one day alone and 2 more days with adult children and grandkids. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds and had a ride to find some ancestors that were buried in the area. This location is close by our home so it was extremely nice not to have to make a long trip to get away.

Magnolia treasure!

This is one of the best properties we have stayed in! It is absolutely beautiful ! The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. Beds are super comfortable and the house was very clean and spacious. But the best part is the outside! The property is sprinkled with magnolia trees. The lagoon was perfect for the grandkids to fish in and the river that runs across the back of the property is awesome! This is a slice of heaven on earth! Fantastic property! Stacey was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this property!!
