stayed here in may 2017 -its noisy but friendly food ok could be better but several choices - plastic glasses for drinks didnt like but due to some people going ott its a good idea-asked to be moved due to clubbers coming in and got a quieter room-staff are very friendly and on the whole we had a good time at a low cost so u get what you pay for .
Whilst I know that we didn't pay a lot for our honeymoon, we just wanted a cheeky few nights away post holiday to relax! Well we definitely didn't get that. The hotel was loud until vey early hours of the morning with drunken idiots (not hotels fault I'm aware, but they did nothing about it) The food was often uncooked and inedible. The soup was tasty! You have to keep hold of the same plastic cup to refill your drinks! that's right, even if you want to change which watered down alcoholic beverage you want to drink, you must keep the same plastic cup, even take it to bed with you! When you dare to ask for it to be cleaned, you would think that you had asked for them to cure an incurable disease! The reception staff are curt and rude, there were a number of guests asking to be transferred out of the hotel due to it being dirty and unsanitary! Stand on the balcony at your own risk, marbles genuinely could roll off and down, they are at a very precarious angle. The town of lloret isn't too bad, plenty of burger kings that's for sure! beach is man made but pleasant. So yes I know we didn't pay much, but we didn't expect, inedible, dangerous food. Cracked tiles and unsanitary bathroom, uncomfortable and dirty bedding and rude staff! I have been on plenty of budget holidays before and I know that you can get a decent quality of hotel even on a low budget, but definitely not here!!!
The food and the staff were first class and a credit to there company against what i would call very trying conditions. The Hotel is geared up for Hen and stag parties and isnot suited to young children and anyone over the age of 30............and any one with walking dissabilities, which is a shame as the food and variety is top class, but sadly not appreciated, iam very surprised that H TOP HOTELS PUT THERE NAME TO THIS HOTEL,WOULD NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE GUESTS BEHAVIOUR CERTAINLY NOT THE FAULT OF HOTEL STAFF.
The hotel staff are great apart from 1 man who works on reception he gave my room key to a random guy who stole my money from the room when I went to ask for help he didn't want to help and refused to call the police then said it was me who asked for the key if you do go to the H.TOP Gran Casino Royal pay for a safe. The bar and restaurant staff was very helpful, the food was ok however some of it was luke warm. the room was ok with a great view from the balcony house keeping came every day at 10 and knocked before entering and asked if they could come in which was very polite. It 10 minutes walk to the local beach there was always food available however the snack bar was the leftover food from the restaurant the WiFi is free for 10 minutes the you have to pay I wouldn't visit again unless there was a different receptionist
If your paying a lot of money you should expect a luxury break...... Your not, so why think you should expect it? If you paid a lot then speak to your tour operator and give them the bad review. I was on a stag do and for the price I thought we done all right, a flight, free alcohol, free food, bed, shower and a pool for just over two hundred quid for four days three nights!! Now don't get me wrong if I paid a grand for that I'd expect the hotel to be a little better, but I didn't so I was expecting it to be bad from the word go, now we was a little bit miffed at a plastic glasses to start with until we realised you pay two euros if you loose one.... So we all lost one and had two glasses, why plastic? Well when you walk round bare foot most of the day you can see why, plus there's kids around. Food? Well it's not the Savoy by any means but there is a wide range to choose from so there's always something worth eating even if you don't like broadening your horizons, plus if you miss it there's a snack bar open to fill that hole, how far to get into town? Two minutes if that and if you fancying beach just follow the strip, its between five and ten minutes or if you have Paddy with you about two hours, but he shares a great story about his sunglasses every two minutes so you won't get bored. Would I go back to this same hotel? Yes, I'm pretty sure all of us would. You get what you pay for and what we paid gave us a bargain, would I take a young family?.. Doubt it, but that's only incase there's a stag or hen do going on as funny enough when your drunk you don't realise how loud you are, the hotel itself isn't actually a loud one but you get that couple walking in at stupid o clock not realising how noisy they are, the one thing we all agreed on was its a good base (just don't ask Paddy about his sunglasses)
thankyou casino royal for a nice week, just returned home yesterday. this hotel is not as bad as some reviews make it out to be, yes a lot of young and lively go there stags and hens and can be quite noisey but this isnt the hotels fault, the hotel is smack at top of strip where they all want to go party. the rooms are pretty basic but clean and does the job. the bar staff, restaurant and reception staff are so polite and helpfull met some really nice staff there and cleaners work very hard indeed. i went all inclusive and found the drinks nice and as for the restaurant food i thought was lovley, i have been to four star hotels and the food wasnt as good as the casino royals very enjoyable indeed and a nice variety of salads and deserts and there soup was so so good as well.all in all i had a lovle.y stay thankyou to all casino royal staff for a great stay
Please do not get fooled by the all inclusive deals they are far from it , Hotel is also constantly noisey all the time and very outdated , on the positive nice staff and good food but when asking even for bottled water at meals is an extra charge and drinks if required are all in plastic cups which have to be returned for refillits a bit much , a remote for your Room Tv is also extra so it would put me of using again , it seems to more popular for STAG and HEN NIGHTS dissapointing
after reading the reviews on this hotel I was not expecting much but the hotel is not that bad yes it needs more than a tin a paint and it looks a bit tired outside but the room was clean with a good size bathroom the food was basic but good with plenty of choice staff very friendly and helpful it did get noisy at times but nothing to really to disturb me I would think this could be a bit of a problem in the summer when hotel full I would ask for a room at the back of hotel if you want a quite room or ask for a high floor if you want a pool view. For the price I paid I would try it again.
Booked this as a mystery trip for me and the wife through Jet2, nice early flight of 1 hour 50mins got us to Girona in good time to spend quality time in the sun, or so we thought. We were directed to the transfer bus where we sat for 45 minutes waiting for stragglers who could not find their bags, people who needed "just another cigarette before we go" and people who decided they had to go back to the terminal for a bottle of water. Finally under way we were on the bus for 2 hours before we reached the H-Top Grand Casino Royal, longer on the bus than the flight, what a shocker when we walked in, crowds of screaming teenagers from a school trip filled the reception area. We could not get checked in, the lifts were rammed and the toilets were packed with 5 or 6 at a time. We got our key and went up to our room talk about basic it was the pits it had a strong bleach smell throughout and there was nothing in the room, no safe, no air con, no hairdryer, no real hanging space and rather worrying no real secure lock on the door or the balcony door. We quickly unpacked and made our exit to the reception, I enquiries about a safe "yes for €28 for one week" what about for 2 nights I said "same price came the reply" we went to eat and came back about 11pm to find the whole place was in uproar, people singing, shouting and the reception area was utter chaos. Once in our room on the 5th floor we thought we would be far enough away from it all that it would not be heard but all through the night it was filled banging on doors, screams, crying, banging on walls and ceilings, in the end at 3am I went out in the corridor to tell them to quiet down, it continued and then someone else shouted to quiet down, it finally fell silent about 4.45am! The next day the reality set in how bad the hotel really was, from the outside it was shoddy, dirty and in various states of repair, the room had a real damp smell and we were forced to keep the balcony door open to make the smell bearable. We stayed out all day and returned to the hell hole at 11pm to find a rep handing out tickets to about 50-60 kids straight outside the lift doors we had to fight our way through to the lift and then we endured another night of noise and chaos in the corridors! I called reception to complain and he said "hotel is broken I'm sorry for this" broken what does that actually mean "I can't help you I'm sorry" and he hung up. Thank god we have checked out today, don't take up any cheap offers, special deals for this hotel it's not worth it don't even stay here if it's free! One of the worse hotels we have ever experienced.
I have to stress that we did have a really good holiday celebrating my friends 30th. We met some really great people and Lloret its self isn't too bad, especially on the beach front. It's in a good location for the nightlife. BUT I have stayed here before, a few years back and it's just got worse! I know it's so cheap, you can't expect much. The rooms are tired and the food is barely edible but none of that bothered me for the price I paid. It was a clean bed and shower and the drink wasn't too bad. It was some of the guests that ruined this, we were unluckily next to some yobs who just screamed and made disturbing noises most of the night. They staggered about the hotel all day falling over and only came back to the room to smash it up. The walls are so thin, you just don't feel safe at times. We asked to move rooms but were told we couldn't as it was fully booked. I don't believe this to be true, they just couldn't be bothered. The staff have to put up with a lot and I feel for them. Considering this, they aren't so bad! This place is not for families or young childrem. It's full of drunks, very loud and sometimes aggressive people. Aside from that, it's what you make it and we didn really have a good break and there were some lovely people there.
