Stayed here two weeks for a getaway worst hotel we've ever been too the bar staff tried putting large alcohol measures in mine and my husband's drinks he is disabled and on medication it could have killed him they don't take no for an answer. Drinks are served in horrible plastic beakers that are dirty.kids were climbing off an Algi ridden water pump that could have given them serious infections. Gypseys around pool noisey with a getto blaster looking to rob people. However restaurant staff friendly cleaners are friendly and snack bar lady friendly. The bar ruins it for other good staff members. Also they use a stupid card system that you have to take to bar every time and if you loose it they will charge you for it so they tend to not give you your card back so they can make money.Reception staff also very patient
Me and my boyfriend stayed here in September and we had a lovely time at this hotel. The food was really good, lots of choice and very fresh: probably the best part of this hotel. There was no entertainment really at night, but didn't really bother us, as there were clubs and bars just a 5 minute walk away. the hotel is in a perfect location, not too far from everything: the beach, the coach station, bars clubs and shops, central to everything. the only thing that is bad about this hotel was the noise. we read the reviews before and thought people were being over dramatic, but it is very loud at night from people in the hotel. Not even the bars which we thought it would be! just young kids being loud in the corridors there was even nearly a fight one night between guests we could hear everything from our room at 4 am! Also, no air con in room, which was fine as we went in september so was a little cooler, but i can imagine it being a problem in july/august when its hot! However, despite this, I think it was good value for money for what we paid.
Spent a week from 21st Oct 2017 at the Gran Casino Lloret de mar and had to buy ear plugs. The hotel itself is ok for the money you pay(not a lot) but because of this and being a very cheap all inclusive it attracts all kinds, this made it very noisy through the night. If like us you just want a cheap get away during the school holidays its ideal but you do need to put up with the other people in the hotel and Lloret itself is very busy in October. Room was ok and clean, food ok what you would expect from an all inclusive, drinks again for what you pay ok but we did take advantage of the AI plus £2.50 to upgrade your cocktail if nothing else it saved going to the bar as often and you did get a new glass/plastic each time. We spent most of the days traveling around the area as the bus station is just across from the hotel, we visited Tossa de ma just 20mins on the bus and well worth a visit very pretty and not as busy as Lloret, Gerona city is stunning and takes about 40mins, Blanes was nice but almost closed down. Lloret itself is ok but very busy even in October but we did find a couple of nice places to eat. Oriant Express fantastic for breakfast and evening meal and not to expensive, Piccadily bar was good for food and drink. Overall had a great time just need to go out a lot.
Went on a family holiday. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Needs a revamp. Rooms are old dirty and dark. Mealtimes like cattle feeding times. Pool tiny and dirty. Security guards everywhere. Fights in dining room and bar every night. Get a card for all inclusive drink, no card no plastic cup to get drink. Not ideal for families at all
Was a cheap second hoilday would not take children there it is now way a family hotel.too many drunk stag and hen doo's. ..your lucky if u get any sleep, drunk people banging about all night security do try and sort trouble out but at stupid o'clock in the morning I was not amused. .if u can sleep like the dead u will b fine😂 food was ok but u can't get a coffee or tea early in the morning there should really be a machine for that... that isn't locked in the bar till 10 in the morning .lorret it's self is a lovely place would go again there are lots of lovely places to stay
Gran Casino Royal Hotel Lloret De Mar The hotel is in the town & 5 min walk to the beach & near to the bus station were you can travel to most places at very little cost. Most Spanish bus drivers are not very pleasant so it is best to write on a card were you want to go or they will pretend not to understand you. (take the bus to Tosa Del Mar, its about 20min and 3euro return, there is a castle there with free entry into the grounds, it is just a very nice place & the journey there is great). Don't forget this is a 3 star hotel On arrival the desk staff were very helpful also the cleaners helped us find our room. We asked for a room on the sunny side of the hotel & was given it immediately as we had not used the original room we were given. The hotel is rather tired and could do with a good refit/makeover in all areas. The rooms are of a good size, with a bath and shower & lots of hot water but no AC. Balcony is a comfortable size for 2 chairs and a table (no table provided) with a view over the pool. The bar area is on the 2nd floor which is of a reasonable size but when the hotel is full I would think it will be difficult to get a seat. Extending from the bar area is a very nice large outside patio area with lots of seats and tables which looked over the pool and the town of Lloret. (at times this area is not very clean). The bar provides local & imported drinks which are all very good and the self-service coffee is excellent. I cannot comment on the entertainment as there was just a disco on when we were there. Food was ok, I had no complaints about any of it good meat, sea food, salads and sweets. There is only 2 toasters and coffee machines so there is always a que at times. (there is also a very good ground coffee machine if is what you prefer). A lot of peoples reviews complain about the noise, It was low season when we were there & it was very noisy, security did not want to do anything about it. We would return to this hotel at the right price. If this report has been of help to you please tick the box.
Had real trepidations about this short break.. Read reviews but did realise that people expectations usually outweigh what they want to spend. As it happened, the hotel was closing for the season the day we left. The hotel is dated, rooms tired and in need of some refurbishment. Food was pretty good, plenty of choice , trying to cater for those who won't touch anything without chips , and those who want to experience something like a spanish cuisine. It caters on a budget so thats what you receive. Location wise, its straight opposite the bus station so had we been there mid season, and for longer than three days... travelling around to other towns by bus would have been really handy. Its close to the main street. We enjoyed our stay... Staff were really nice.. pleasant and helpful...
The term, you get what you pay for, should be in neon above the door of this place. I’ve been twice, each in early September and while it’s shabby, the booze is watered down and you can have chips for breakfast, the location cannot be topped. We didn’t have any truly bad experiences, except for one night where a guy in the next room came back late and incoherently drunk. He proceeded to systematically deconstruct his room while crying like a child about his cheating girlfriend. The balconies are a serious hazard as they sloop down and out, so we waited for this guy to do one over the railing. He didn't, but scary evening. The staff can only do so much with the clientele it gets. Their dead eyed apathy is probably just a touch of PTSD. Two pieces of advice, go late, so after the French and German students have gone, and pick a high floor on the side overlooking the football pitches, as it’s a lot quieter.
1st impression I thought the room was okay although very dated, food was okay also. However on the 1st night and every other night there was drug dealing going on around the pool and adults fighting it was total chaos. Everywhere was filthy outside not cleaned at all for the week we stayed, Staff especially reception just plain rude and not interested, In any other hotel these guests would have been thrown out but here you can do whatever. not safe for children and just disgusting. my advice would be to Avoid at all costs don't go get your money back!!!!
I stayed here in October for 4 days. The hotel was very cheap so we decided to book here. The hotel is very dated, I would say little or no work has been done for 30 years. The all inclusive bar was pretty good with estrella on tap. There was a strong smell of weed been smoked in one of the rooms and one morning we was awoken by the couple next door getting funky. The hotel is in a fantastic location with lots of bars and clubs near by. We didn't sample the food as places in town was cheap to eat anyway.
